Hussen24: Hello Everyone..
Concerning the shortlisted for NSCDC and Immigration, the fact is that they are just fooling people. All those shortlisted may likely make it as merit. A particular influential rep that submitted 10 people and non was shortlisted. When he contacted the ogas He was told the shortlist is just a formality. His candidates will make final list. This is the major reason why they did not publish names but created search portal.
Concerning DSS: Some people were contacted but all are ND and NCE. I don't really know what is going on. DSS is very secretive, even in the organization only top guns know about the recruitment and they will never open up for you.
Concerning IPPIS delay: Most organizations run to share APLs without following normal process. So, they have to follow the process before they are captured. Most organizations shared APL without approval from finance which usually take months before approval. When I see APL here most of the time, the moment I contact IPPIS they will say that particular organization has not gotten approval yet. Boss, when do you think this ish would be resolved? |

eddie7: RMAFC, Accountant-general’s Office Suspend Workers Over Padding Of Salaries
Nigerian Revenue Commission, RMAFC, Accountant-General’s Office Suspend Workers Over Padding Of Salaries
Some staff of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) and the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) have reportedly been suspended for their alleged roles in salary “padding”.
Some other civil servants in an undisclosed institute were also reportedly suspended for same offence.
The suspended workers allegedly connived with some officials in the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation to pad their salaries by manipulating the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS).
Currently, an Assistant Director whose identity was not disclosed that was deployed in the IPPIS unit of the RMAFC is undergoing probe over the salary padding.
A source familiar with the incident told The Nation that the assistant director, who is desk officer in charge of staff’ salary was alleged to have connived with the OAGF personnel to “pad” the salaries of unspecified number of lower cadre workers.
“The AD in connivance with some staff members are deep in the salary padding racket. The alarm blew recently when a Level 7 officer, whose salary should be in the range of N60, 000 was paid over N400, 000 – the salary package for a director.
“What happened was that another colleague on same salary scale saw the pay slip of a female colleague with a net pay of over N400,000. Surprised, he tried to get details of the excess payment but was rebuffed. "Following the cold attitude from his colleague, the aggrieved staff raised the alarm and a committee was set up to investigate the matter."
Meanwhile, the salary padding racket according to the report, has been going on for a while among a small clique of civil servants in different MDAs with the IPPIS office in the OAGF as the epicenter of the activity.
Reacting to the development, the OAGF in a statement said it is “in receipt of enquiries over alleged “salary padding” on the IPPIS involving some unspecified MDA.
The OAGF noted that “there is no evidence of salary padding” before the OAGF at this time; however, the office is aware of reported breach of the IPPIS third party payment protocol at an Institute outside Abuja.
“The incident has since been reported to, and is being investigated by relevant anti-corruption, security and regulatory agencies.
“In the meantime, a staff suspected to be connected with the breach has been suspended to allow for thorough investigation.”
It added "all necessary steps are being taken to strengthen the controls around the IPPIS payment platform and an independent forensic audit of the entire payroll system is underway to ascertain if the reported breach is isolated or widespread."
However, the RMAFC Chairman, Mohammed Bello Shehu has confirmed the development, adding that some culprits had been identified and placed on suspension pending the investigation of the incidence.
He said some workers at the commission were found to have manipulated the IPPIS system to pad their salaries above what they were supposed to earn.
“If the indicted officials are found culpable of the salary padding allegations, they will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for prosecution,” Bello Shehu told the paper in a chat.
Although, declined to disclose the number or the identities of those involved, he however vowed that the commission will not condone such blatant disregard of the civil service rules.
“We will investigate to know how long this has been going on, how much has been illegally acquired and attempts made to recover the excess from those involved," he said. I hope this doesn't affect the Ippis capturing of newly appointed staffs? |

Gensanusi: Man Quit Job After Receiving Employment Letter From Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital in Kwara. Now, the Hospital Says He Has No Offer
Emmanuel Dare, a Kaduna resident, has told how he was denied an employment opportunity as a social welfare officer at the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Budo-Egba, in Kwara State, after he had been offered an appointment letter.
Dare told that he secured the job and received an invitation in February to come for the Integrated Payroll and Personnel information system (IPPIS) documentation in March.
It was when he visited the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital in Budo-Egba that the officials he met told him he had no job, despite receiving an appointment letter.
“I got a job, a federal job, in February. The hospital told us to come for our appointment letter and documentation by March 1,” Dare told FIJ on Tuesday. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
“They said that we should come on March 1. But they told the prospective employees living in and around Kwara State to come for their documentation on February 23. During this period I was in Kaduna, there was no cash in town and it was a few days before the election. Despite these challenges, I was still able to prepare for the trip and got to Kwara State on March 1. I also got there early.
“I collected my appointment letter that same day. Officials from the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) were around too. Everybody got busy with them. Later on, it was my turn to have my data captured with the IPPIS and they told me that my name was not in their database and they couldn’t do anything about it except I went to meet the hospital officials.
“When I met the officials of the hospital and Professor Baba Issa, the hospital’s CMD, I was told nothing could be done about the omission of my name from the database. They also said that I came late for my documentation.”
FIJ asked Dare whether the hospital sent him a letter of disengagement but he said no.
“They sent nothing to show that the employment offer had been withdrawn,” said Dare.
“The truth is that they manipulated the whole process. It’s not like I bought a slot or anything. The Federal Ministry of Health in Abuja came in January. We did a screening and I received a message and a mail informing me of my appointment. I already resigned at my previous place of work. I just got married in October last year and it’s just bizarre.
FIJ called the IPPIS to confirm if Dare was on its records but the phone call did not connect. Several messages FIJ sent to the IPPIS phone number failed to deliver at press time.
Neither Issa nor the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Budo-Egba, had also responded to the messages sent to them at press time.
“This was more or less a matter of sold employment or a seclusion.” Dare told FIJ that he did everything the authorities asked the applicants to do.
This is sad. Some employment letter have periods during which the offer will lapse , the story didn't indicate if this was the bone if contention. |
