Gabon, just like other countries in the Central and Southern Africa are populated by Nigerian traders. Opening that route is more beneficial economically to Afrijet and Gabon than it is to Nigeria. With no Nigerian airlines offering direct services to Libreville, it is a goldmine for them.

Again for Nigerians of the South east and South South, they do not need to first get to Lagos, Kano or Enugu to get flights to their various destinations.

The suit of defection has never been decided or tested before any Court since this saga.
Justice Donatus Okorowo (now in the Appeal Court) granted an ex-parte injunction on the suit but no judgement until today. Ex-partes always have a finite period.
The defection case as we speak is before a Federal High Court in Port Harcourt.
