J12: The dollar still remains the international reserve currency. The demand for the dollar is still high and will continue to be so. The BRICS economies can't change that fact. how can the demand for the dollar remain high when its value is depreciating on a daily basis do you think china will continue to amass trillions of dollars that continue to depreciate ? not only that america is using the money it borrows from china, japan and some western european countries to keep building up its military machine - in other words china by being america's biggest creditor is indirectly helping america to keep financing its military machine - how long will china keep on tolerating this rubbish from america? |

ayox2003: Funny.
Cap28, put on your thinking cap and analyse these issues. Quit making these glib statements and soundbites. All what I said are the root cause, except for education which could be termed a "symptom", in your words. Meanwhile all what the OP said are nothing but "symptoms" of the rot in our society.
Think critically and answer these questions: What makes up the society? Aint it the family? What's the mindset of an african man? What are his core values? What is our belief system? Does an african man believe that character is destiny?
Let's delve into politics, Nigeria is just a 13-year old baby in the world of democracy. Yes a baby because no country ever got it right 13 years into democracy. Although this does not give any excuse to glory in our filthy system because there's a lot that needs to be done. We need to fix the system and create values, look into the faulty laws of the society, encourage honesty and integrity, so that there will be a good reward for anyone who's willing to put-in his/her effort. These are the basic tenets on which democracy is built.
Take a look at all these parties and their candidates: what's their character ethic vis-a-vis their personality ethic. Zilch! Why do the electorates vote for them? Tribal reasons.
Then something must be fundamentally wrong with both the electorate and the elected. Values!
The value system must change. Fix the system and things would change.
Frawzey There is no way you can talk about changing the value system in a society when a greater power dictates and controls everything about your life ranging from economic policies right down to what you watch on your tv. How do you change the system when your economic policy is decided for you in washington and london? how about trade- who dictates the terms and conditions of how you trade? you or the western powers? have you heard of the world trade organisation? are you aware that international treaties and regulations are created by this organisation and are you aware that europe and america its most powerful members dictate international trade policies - can you explain how nigeria will be able to operate outside such a powerful organisation? are you aware that europe and america form trading cartels which they use to maintain a monopoly over certain areas of trade thereby keeping third world countries outside this cartel and forcing them to be dependant on whatever these advanced economies decide - can you explain how a country like nigeria can circumvent such cartels? you can not bring up family values when you have not dealt with the more pressing problems that influence the value systems within society. for example - last year nigeria decided to implement the IMF policy of increasing the price of petrol - the knock on effect of that was a further decline in the standard of living of the average nigerian - the consequences or symptoms of this have been an increse in the crime rate - kidnapping, ritual killings, armed robbery etc which have peaked dramatically, would it be right to blame the perpetrators of these crimes without addressing the root causes of these crimes? in other words does it make sense to spend hours castigating armed robbers and other criminals without asking why nigeria continues to implement economic policies formulated by western powers like america and britain that create the kind of poverty, miserty and hopelessness that force people into a life of crime? You say that nigeria is only 13 years old as far as implementing democracy but i beg to differ - nigeria is yet to implement anything remotely resembling democracy, a dog that is born in a stable can never be mistaken for a horse but will remain what it is - nigeria is a creation of the british empire and has remained so since 1960, nigeria in its current state was created to serve the interests of the british ruling class not the people of nigeria - the sooner you realise this the better for you, almost all of nigeria's leaders since independence have been handpicked by britain - those who were not chosen or who deviated from the instructions of the british empire were assassinanted or removed from power, all the nigerian people have ever got out of this set up is flag indeppendence which is merely symbolic and means nothing. Nigeria can only become truly independent when it throws off the shackles of economic and political domination from the US and britain - but how do we do that? - we create awareness among the masses - the more people know where their problem is coming from the better their chances at defeating it. we have to get organised - there has to be a mass movement of nigerian people from all walks of life that must be willing to remove the current system that we have in place. this is how the chinese defeated the western powers and became what they are today. |

It is highly delusional that you heap blames on people who could care less if you can't take wipe your own azz. No difference between you and other crazy nigerians blaming oil as the source of our problems. can you point out the conspiracy theories and explain why you feel they are conspiracy theories? where did europe and america's wealth come from? what are european and american multinationals doing in nigeria if they are less concerned about us? why has the world bank placed one of their agents in a position of power in nigeria in the person of Okonjo Iweala? This happened over 200+ years ago and in 2012, you're still here lamenting over the situation that has since changed or is slavery still going on in Nigeria that I'm unaware of? I'm not talking about the slavery we started by ourselves, the one carried out by our own kind/skin/color enslaving us? Interestingly, neither one of us including several generations before us experienced the acts that's being blamed here. Sir, this is old and it's time we start doing the right thing and stop whining and blaming the westerners what happened over 200 years ago? i had no idea the IMF was in existence 200 years ago, i also had no idea that nigeria paid over $18 billion of a non existent debt to the paris club 200 years ago - last time i checked that happened in 2005. also did all the military coups in nigeria and elsewhere in post colonial africa happen 200 years ago? I would strongly advise you to go back and read your history as you sound very confused and ignorant, africans did not instigate the enslavement of their own people, the europeans had a motive for enslaving africans - to build and develop their own nations so that they could become the economic giants that they are today. were afrcians also responsible for the partition of the african continent in 1885 by europe? how about the apartheid regime in south africa - was that aided and abetted by africans? funnily enough africa is about to be recolonised in the year 2013 by the united states of america or did you miss that too? |

there is a reason why the IMF continue to stipulate that the nigerian govt cut public spending on education in nigeria and instead divert that revenue into servicing of interest repayments on foreign debt or invesment into other western investment vehicles, its because they need to ensure that the majority of nigerians remain as dumb and under educated as the likes of 2 legit 2 quit, alaafia oro and mr jingles. |

ayox2003: Somany factors..but the most important is the family. The family is the bedrock of development and values. Its been proven that 50% of one's ultimate attitude, character and value system depends on ones upbringing. If parents take the time to train their children with the motive of making them good representatives of the society, these things would change.
Another reason for this decadence is the rot in the education sector. Without much ado, education in has been drained to the dregs. Gone are the days when the universities influence students. Gone are the days when the school passes through students and make them ready for the society both in character and skill. I don't mean to ridicule Nigeria but I visited a university in Kenya and I was stunned.
Lastly, "mindset" is one small but mighty factor responsible for this. Who do nigerians think they are? Cultural beliefs that leads to bigotry and tribalism, religious beliefs that leads to terrorism, inferiority complex inherited from colonialism, and many more have crippled these nation.
I just hope we are gonna be able to rise to the task cos without this, nothing will be done - our character is our destiny.

TRUTHTELA: IMO, they should curtail how they WASTE public funds, both borrowed and locally generated. However, there's absolute NOTHING to show for all the money Nigeria made from crude oil sales and the BORROWED money. You can't be wasteful ( e.g Sambo's residence and Jonathan's feeding budget), and make any meaningful progress. If not Fed Govt, the State Govt's are in HUGE DEBTS, but, nobody is calling anyone to order, NO ACCOUNTABILITY whatsoever. My anger with Ngozi Iweala, is coming to serve Jonathan's govt, the PDP rogues has MESSED up her reputation, cos, she can't FIGHT or STOP them from being the THIEVES that they are. Any of her POLICIES that earned her THE GLOBAL REPUTATION she built, will fail in Nigeria, cos this is Nigeria, where what WORKS in sane societies will FAIL woefully here. If only she knew, and I have a strong feeling that very soon, SHE WILL RESIGN from this government, the HEADACHE is too much for her.
On Sanusi, IMO, he's just a religious BIGOT, that knows NOTHING and prefers to make headlines. If this president were to be HAUSA FULANI MUSLIM, Sanusi, will not be CRITICIZING him in this manner. He say things to IMPRESS his fellow Northerners (muslim extremist), e.g, when he told Financial Times of London, that "THE REVENUE SHARING FORMULA" is responsible for Boko Haram. Sanusi, say things that are IMPRACTICABLE, to SPITE Jonathan and impress Nigerians. E.g, saying that 50% of the civil servants should go. I can tell you that 99.9% of educated Northerners rely on civil service for any type of Job whatsoever. You barely see them in DEVELOP societies (Lagos, P.H, London) COMPETING for jobs. After graduation, its Abuja, (Govt Job). Sanusi, himself has wrecked the CBN, and what he preaches outside to the public, he doesn't practice it withing the CBN, he has hired people stupidly. If you want to SHAKE the Northerners, try DOWNSIZING the Nigerian civil service. Ngozi Iweala, did a little retrenchment during her Obasanjo, years, Omg, Northerners wanted to kill her (branding her a tribalist with an agenda). Sanusi, as a president tomorrow, won't sack 50% of the civil servants, cos he knows who will be AFFECTED (his kith and kin) the most. As a president, he will be WORSE than Jonathan, cos, I don't know Northern muslims to be PRUDENT, they're the most WASTEFUL ( money that they don't work for) people on earth. After LOOTING form the Fed. Govt they'll now INVEST and become prudent.
Finally, I view most of his POLICIES as RELIGIOUS ( ISLAMIC BANKING)driven. Northern muslims can't SEPARATE RELIGION from STATE and its a HUGE problem that has kept them BACKWARD.
Just like El rufai, becoming a SAINT overnite, simply cos Yar'adua and Jonathan DUMPED him. Odili's book revealed how that MIDGET ROGUE had been in bed with the BIGGEST THIEVES in the Nigerian LOOTING HISTORY, now, he has REPENTED. HISTORY and EVENTS will catch up with them all. STOP TALKING CRAP - OKONJO IWEALA IS A TRAITOR, THEIF AND OPPORTUNIST WHO DOES NOT GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOU OR ANYONE ELSE IN NIGERIA, lets not forget that this is a woman who asked for her salary to be paid in US dollars not naira - is that the action of a patriotic nigerian citizen whose objective is to help her country? people like you need to wake up and stop being naive - Okonjo Iweala's loyalty lies with the US financial criminal banking cartels not the masses of impoverished nigerians. people like you are the problem we have in nigeria - ignorance mixed with tribalism - how can you describe sanusi as a bigot when he is refusign to go along with Okonjo Iweala's agenda of endless debt and mass impoverishment of nigeria's masses? are you thinking straight at all. Try and view the world from an objective standpoint instead of from a tribalistic one, an igbo woman has chosen to allign herself with the interests of western powers knowing full well that those interests are harmful to her own people on the other hand a hausa man has spoken out and said - no, this is wrong - if we continue to keep borrowign we are condemning future generations into a life of debt, poverty and misery and yet in your mind the traitor Okonjo Iweala is the better person!!! please bear in mind that tribalism is the major weapon used by westerners to keep nigeria in a permanent state of upheaval and chaos - think straight for a change, this is not about tribe but about what is good for nigeria as a unit - isnt it funny that northerners tend to be the ones who refuse to go along with western imperialism ie Murtala Muhammed, Buhari, Yaradua and now Sanusi while igbos like this woman are the first to join forces with our enemies. You better grow up and stop being a tribalist and realise that this problem we are having is far bigger than igbo versus hausa - it is about western imperialism versus black emancipation. |

the european nations dictate your economic policies via their international financial institutions ie IMF, world bank and the Paris club

Tusky44: Okonjo disappoints me. Why plow so much in the sovereign wealth fund and then go borrow with heavy repayment interest? Are you pleasing the world bank & IMF? Anyway, Sanusi may be right but with GEJ as their boss, nothing can go right.
Regardless, we shall vote GEJ in 2015 - 2019 cos God sent him and his mission is to deal with SW & up North. As i have stated severally Okonjo Iweala aka World Bank puppet has nothing to offer nigerians except mass poverty, here is another interesting analysis of nigeria's involvement in the Sovereign Wealth Fund:
Nigerian Economy: the impending catastrophe - by Ola Kazeem 24 November 2011
Although the Nigerian economy has been officially growing at over 6% for the past 5 years, the poverty rate keeps increasing; youth unemployment has risen to an unprecedented 47% and over 80 per cent of Nigerian youth don’t have more than a secondary school certificate.
Infrastructure is collapsing with power generation hovering between 3,000 to 3,500 mega-watts, when Nigeria actually needs over 75,000 mega-watts to power its size. Out of over 160,000 kilometres of secondary and tertiary roads in Nigeria, with an average registered network of 4,000 kilometres per state, only about 10–15 per cent is paved. While a large proportion of this network remains in poor or very poor condition with only 15 per cent of federal roads in good condition.
Sovereign Wealth Fund and the IMF agenda
A sovereign wealth fund (SWF) is a state-owned investment fund composed of financial assets such as stocks, bonds, property, precious metals or other financial instruments. Sovereign wealth funds invest globally. Some of them have grabbed attention making bad investments in several Wall Street financial firms including Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, and Merrill Lynch. These firms needed a cash infusion due to losses resulting from mismanagement and the subprime mortgage crisis. Most SWFs are funded by foreign exchange assets. How does this fit into the Nigerian ruling class’s popular slogan of “Government has no business doing business”? If it is in the interest of the ordinary Nigerians, Government will have no business doing business; if it is in the interest of the rich and their Western backers, Government will have a very strong reason to do business.
The global economic crisis has dictated this dramatically laughable change of policy of the IMF/World bank towards the “third world” countries. The IMF is no longer satisfied with massive sales of public properties at take away prices in the name of privatizations; it is no longer satisfied with huge cuts in public spending that further impoverishes the majority of Nigerians; the IMF has conveniently added to these policies the Sovereign Wealth Fund; that is, it is asking Nigeria to ensure huge savings from the proceeds from oil and other social cuts, savings not for the purpose of investing in Nigeria because “Government has no business doing business”, not for the purpose of improving the life of the overwhelming majority of Nigerians because “Capitalism is a system for the minority against the interest of the majority (1% against the 99%)”, but savings for the purpose of investing in the western market. How laughable does this sound? The poorer countries should not invest in their own countries where there is urgent and desperate need to do so, but should turn around and invest in the rich western countries because they are going through a financial crisis; that is, the rich will be fed from the belly of the poor!
Revolution is inevitable
Obviously, the Nigerian ruling class is one of the most subservient to the dictates of the western powers, in the world. The IMF has a direct representation within the government in the person of Okonjo Iweala who will go to any extent to get the imperialists’ interests protected to the last. Along the path they have mapped out, the consequences are glaring! It will inevitably lead to an open clash between the overwhelming majority of Nigerians and the ever diminishing minority of exploiters. Egypt and Greece have provided an example of what is to come.
With their policies, revolution is on the agenda and there is no other possible alternative policy on the basis of capitalism. Only a social and economic system that focuses first on the interests of the majority and not on the profits of the few, can harness all the Nigerian resources, both human and material, and unleash the full capacity of Nigerians for the purpose of actualizing the full potential of the country. That system is Socialism and it is the only alternative to blood sucking capitalism. It is absolutely impossible to find a solution within a system that puts profit first before human needs, which judges the rationality of everything based on profitability, a greedy system that promotes greediness and turns man to beast.
Therefore the real enemy is neither corruption nor the mediocrity of the Nigerian ruling elites as such, but the dying system that breeds corruption in which the Nigerian ruling elite are mere appendages of the western powers. That is what the capitalist system is, especially in very backward countries like Nigeria. The alternative system is the only way out and this alternative is inconceivable without first booting out these degenerate servants of the imperialists. Twy: The major problem I worry about is the comparison to some foreign countries like U.S with a huge debt profile, sometimes keynesian/monetary economic models may not work wholeheartedly in Nigeria. U.S has the productive capacity to absorb such a high debt profile with the worst case scenario being a recession. Their government revenue base is based on taxes which are not up to many Western European standards. So as long at the productivity rate grows in the long, and employment manageable in the long run, the tax base will be there. But in Nigeria, right now, the revenue is based on oil and oil is finite, then the accumulated debt, what are the plans to pay it back. It can work if their are plans to generate non oil revenues for government in the long run but if not then it will be just an extremely risky decision in which they basing their judgment on increase oil revenue or decrease in government services or workers. the US economy is facing imminent collapse - i dont know where you are getting this optimistic forecast from - the money the US govt generates from domestic taxation is not sufficient to discharge even a fraction of their public debt which currently stands at just over $16 trillion dollars. the only reason why the US is still able to stay afloat is because as i said earlier its dollar is the world reserve currency and all major international transactiosn are conducted in the US dollar giving the dollar an artificially high value the US has outsourced the bulk of its manufacturing capacity to china and other south east asian countries which has caused mass haemorraging of jobs in america and a rise in unemployment which is not going to go away because american corporations would rather make their products in places like china where they can pay starvation wages and make more profit than pay living wages to their own citizens - this is a trend which is set to continue not go away also the US federal reserve prints dollars to service its debts - this is causing inflation of the dollar which is devaluing the dollar, eventually many of america's major creditors like china and japan and some western europeans countries are going to get fed up of accumulating dollar debt which is depreciating in value and sooner or later they are going to pull the plug on america - america's last card is its military which is the most powerful in the world, if china decides to completely abandon the dollar the US dollar will lose its value completely and other countries will follow suit and abandon the dollar - america will then transform into a third world nation overnight. china therefore holds the last economic card. |

hypeman: However, what's the point of borrowing and accumulating more debt when there's absolutely nothing to show for it - except her fat lips These clowns will run an already poor country into the ground with their wastefulness... Paris club or China/BRIC - what difference does it make? Isn't this the same woman who committed the greatest financial blunder in history by paying off a debt that we shouldn't have been paid off in the first place?? She's a fraud!!
This woman exemplifies why education, overly-stacked CV, and experience are somewhat overrated... you are very right, all of this was discussed by Ola Kazeem - a nigerian journalist: Nigerian Economy: Rising debt, IMF Once again, Collapsing Infrastructure as fat Cats get fatter
Written by Ola Kazeem Friday, 12 August 2011 17:36 In 2005, during the tenure of Obasanjo with Okonjo Iweala as Finance minister, Nigeria paid a whopping sum of 12 Billion dollars to buy back 18 Billion dollars debt owed Paris club. This prepared the ground for Nigeria to completely pay off its debt by April 2006 and made her first African country to fully pay off its debt (estimated at $30 billion) owed to the Paris Club. This “exit” from debt trap was celebrated both nationally and internationally; the celebration alone was estimated to gulp 2.4Billion Naira.
This further confirmed the subservience nature of Nigerian ruling elites to their foreign masters in the west. This 12Billion Dollars would have gone a long way in solving many infrastructural challenges, the health, education and power would have positively benefitted immensely from this windfall, but those become completely unimportant when the interest of Nigerian ruling class or their masters are involved. Despite the fact that, over 35Billion dollars already paid in interest and the destination of this debt cannot be rationally traced, yet it was still the priority of thieving gangsters to dole out such a huge amount, under a dubious buy back deal.
Something similar happened in Argentina on September 2, 2008; President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner of Argentina announced plans to pay off the entirety of debt owed to the Paris Club, which amounted to roughly $6.7 billion. Political pressures ensued and though the government officially insisted on its intention to repay,[3] government officials eventually stated that this is unlikely until global credit conditions improve, in spite of the fact that Argentina is richer than Nigeria. Regime of Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner became so unpopular and even up till now it has not emerged from this infamous attempt; but in Nigeria, this mad wastage was greeted with drumming and dancing.
A naïve observer would have thought that for Nigerian ruling class to have rejoiced over exiting debt burden means never again will they enter it again. That they have forever learnt their lessions, but can an irresponsible, unproductive and useless ruling elites live without debt? In less than 5 years, the debt portfolio has climbed and surpassed the 2005 figures. Nigeria now owes $37Billion. The World Bank/IMF, just as it did in 2005, has once again stationed its representative in person of Okonjo Iweala; at least to oversee its interest and ensure that its policies are followed to the latter. Despite favourable oil price in the international market which means more money for Nigeria, the debt continues to rise uncontrollably. The main difference between now and 2005, is the composition of this debt figure. Just $5 Billion is foreign; the remaining is debt owed their local friends and contractors. The immediate response of Okonjo Iweala after her swearing in was that there is no cause for alarm; that the present debt is just 19% of GDP, which falls short of 40% boundary recommended by World Bank. From her response, it means we have just begun the part two into the jungle of unending debt. As at present, N542bn is earmarked for debt servicing in 2011 budget alone. This amount is more than the total allocation for education and health combined. Okonjo Iweala personally benefitted from the 2005 deal because her Consultancy outfit actually brokered the deal and the consultancy fee alone is enough to encourage her to do it over and over again.
The main thrust of IMF/WORLD BANK policy for Nigeria, like other less developed countries is to devalue the currency. Nigerian ruling class, a complete slave to foreign interest is always ready to carry through any policy irrespective of its own local narrow interest. With a devalued Naira, the local debt becomes cheaper and inflation becomes galloping. Devalued Naira will make foreign component of the debt to be more valued and at the same time cheapen the local component. There might be a determined resistance from local bourgeoisie against this move, but as always, in the final analysis, the interest of International capital prevails.
This revealed more glaringly why inflation presently at 12.5% will likely shot up the more. Why Goodluck Jonathan Government will continue to deceive the Nigerian workers as regards minimum wages; even if eventually paid, devaluation will make mess of it. This regime like previous regimes is only capable of bringing succour to foreign interest and local cronies and at the same time increase pain and agony for Nigerian masses. Nigerian ruling class is absolutely dependent on foreign interest, this was also revealed by wikileaks: how US Government mobilized support for Jonathan and sent their illustrious daughters(Okonjo Iweala) to directly oversee their collective interest.
As long as Nigerian ruling class remain in power, more agony and frustration will continue unabated for Nigerian masses, just as foreign capital and local bourgeoisies benefit more and more from our pains. The only available alternative to a better Nigeria is booting out this thieving ruling elites, establishing the Government of the working people; for working people and in the interest ordinary Nigerians. and what is the blunder in paying off a debt, which the majority of it was simply forgiven buhari's economic advisers recommended a moratorium (freeze) on the fraudulent hiked interest - this led to buhari being removed by way of a military coup funded and organised by the CIA. |

and what is the blunder in paying off a debt, which the majority of it was simply forgiven i don't know where you are getting your information - nigeria paid off ALL OF THE PRINCIPAL on the original loan in the 1980s, all it owed was the interest which had been hiked up by the criminal paris club who are quite frankly duping and scamming african countries in order to keep them in a permannent state of debt. |

J12: She's right. Even the US states has a huge debt profile. Liquidity is all that matters. you left out one major fact - the US dollar is the world reserve currency which means that most international transactions are conducted in dollars , giving the dollar an artificially high value, also the US govt prints its own money which it uses to make up for any shortfall in revenue but extensive printing of their dollars (quantitative easing) has resulted in massive depreciation of the dollar which could result in many foreign coutnries looking for a way to exit from the dollar and form their own reserve currency - the BRICS are currently trying to do this. |

brilliant post, there is not much time left as the americans have already deployed their troops to the african continent on the pretext of fighting terrorism. as you know this their war against terrorism is the biggest hoax of all time, straight out of the central casting studios of hollywood, the goal of america is to try and delay the inevitable decline of their empire by gaining control of all of the world's most valuable resources, the showdown between them and china over africa's resources is at hand. |

BOKO HARAM: A CIA COVERT OPERATION From the 1st October 2010 bombing that rocked Abuja till date Nigeria seems to be locked in a vice like grip of a growing and intractable insurgency manifested in bombings of public places and sporadic attacks on public institutions resulting in the loss of scores of lives and destruction of properties. Predictably there has been a discernible growth in panic and tension in the country and not a few people are beginning to think that perhaps the country seems headed inevitably for a long drawn insurgency leading to a split. With the exception of the 1st October 2010 bombing incident, a shadowy group which goes by the name Boko Haram has laid claim to most of the subsequent bombings that have occurred in the country.

The seemingly intractable nature of the Boko Haram outrage has prompted a lot of questions from Nigerians. What really is this Boko Haram thing and what are their grievances if any? Why have they chosen to remain faceless in spite of the devastating effects of their activities on the psyche of the nation, and entreaties from Nigerian authorities to come forward for negotiations? Why are they able to perpetrate their attacks with relative ease and why has there not been a single clue at the scene of their acts to lead to them?
For sure, Nigerians are not unused to sectarian violence. But the ones we have witnessed in this country have been predictable and the modus and fault lines have been well known to the authorities who have always done well to keep them within tolerable limits.
The Boko Haram of Mohammed Yussuf which predated this new one can be so categorized and was well known through its operations, leadership and locations.
But how did a ragtag collection of largely half literate unsophisticated persons operating mostly on Okada transform literally overnight to being able to design, manufacture and deploy bombs in buildings and in vehicles costing in excess of a million naira and carry out attacks in several locations around the country?

How have their reach grown from just a corner of Nigeria to virtually everywhere in the country? For them to be able to mount such a sophisticated operation, they must necessarily have a well structured command and control system which in spite of their best efforts at concealment cannot remain undetected for long. So how have they seemingly defied the best efforts of combined security agencies in the country in detecting and foiling their activities?
The GREENWHITE Coalition can reveal that the current Boko Haram campaign is a covert operation organized by the American Central Intelligence Agency, CIA and coordinated by the American Embassy in Nigeria.
For some time now, the CIA has been running secret training and indoctrination camps along the porous and vulnerable borderlands of Niger, Chad and Cameroon. At these camps youths from poor, deprived and disoriented backgrounds are recruited and trained to serve as insurgents. The agents who supply these youth lure them with the promise of better life and work of Allah and further indoctrinated to believe they are working to install a just Islamic order from the ungodly one that currently holds sway in Nigeria.
The American CIA programme officers of this project prudently remain in the background, living the day to day running of the camps to supervisors of Middle Eastern origin specially recruited for this purpose. After several months of indoctrination and training on weapons handling, survival tactics, surveillance and evasion techniques, the insurgents are now put on stand by for the next phase of the operation.

The next phase of the operations involves the identification and selection of the targets which had already been mapped out by the American Embassy. If buildings are the targets for attack, the weapons and technical equipment to be used are kept in safe houses.
The countdown to the attack involves ferrying of the insurgents and quarantine at safe houses for the H hour. After the attack, in the ensuing panic, the insurgents make their escape into safe houses to dispose the weapons and disappear and dissolve later into the local population. The technical angle of sending out e-mails and messages of responsibility for the attack to the media in the name of Boko Haram is done through secure telecoms equipment by the American programmers of the operation which can hardly be traced.
If the selected target is to be bombed by an IED, the building is cased for days and the devise inserted when security is lax. The devise is then detonated by an in-built timing mechanism or by a hand held detonator some distance away from where the bomb is placed. If on the hand, the attack is to be carried out by a suicide bomber, the person to carry it out would have been severely drugged with CIA manufactured LSD to disorientation. In his state of mind he would have no clue as to what he is programmed to do having been turned into a veritable human robot.
WORKING TO THE 2015 ANSWER-HOW THE US PLANS TO DISMEMBER NIGERIA BY 2015 It is neither a coincidence nor guesswork that the National Intelligence Council of the United States Government estimated that Nigeria will disintegrate by the year 2015. The whole report actually is a coded statement of intentions on how using destabilization plots the US plans to eventually dismember Nigeria.

The whole goal of the destabilization campaign is to ensure that Nigeria is weakened internally by intractable crises leading up to 2015 when the next general elections are expected to come up. By that year there will be so much mutual suspicion among Nigerians that the elections itself might not hold or if they did at all will set the stage for a full rapture of the Nigerian state. By its calculation and design, the Nigerian state will be so fractious by then; it will be fully ripe for intervention and break up. It is in actualization of this plan that the US strategic planners on Nigeria have devised a three stage plan of implementation.

Stage 1: Pakistanizing Nigeria
With the scourge of Boko Haram as an existential reality, in the coming months the spate of bombings and attacks on public buildings are likely to escalate. High value symbolic targets like churches, mosques and large congregations of people of both faiths will be targeted.
There will also be escalation in provocative statements and incitements by groups to violence. For good measure and effect, the bombings and attacks will be staged on days of observance of religious activities.
The goal is to exacerbate tension and mutual suspicion among adherents of the two faiths in Nigeria and leading to sectarian violence.
This pattern of destabilization operation is taken out of the Pakistani manual of destabilization where a sustained spate of CIA sponsored bombings and sectarian violence stretched the ability and resources of the law and order agencies to cope rendering the country weak and vulnerable to foreign intervention.
Stage 2: Internationalizing the Crisis
Having the set the stage for an intractable sectarian violence pitting Christians against Muslims and between the various disparate groups in the country, there will be calls from the United States, European Union and United Nations for a halt to the violence. A plethora of advocacy groups around the world will struggle for the photo opportunity to mouth concerns about the carnage and humanitarian catastrophe. They will try to make a great show of providing humanitarian aid. For effect, there will be carpet bombing coverage by the International media on the Nigerian crisis with so-called experts discussing all the ramifications who will strive to create the impression that only benevolent foreign intervention could resolve the crisis.
There will be a deluge of international conferences at various capitals around the world all ostensibly aimed to save Nigerians from themselves. Meanwhile away from all the public flurry of activities, the US which initiated the crisis in the first place will be secretly drawing up plans to carve out Nigeria for its strategic and economic benefits.
Stage 3: the Great Carve out under UN Mandate
Following worldwide outrage at the scale of carnage resulting from all out war among various sections of Nigeria secretly induced by the United States and its allies, the stage will now shift to the United Nations where debates will take place on how the world body will work to resolve the crisis.
There will be proposals first for an international peace keeping force to intervene and separate the warring groups and or for a UN mandate for various parts of Nigeria to come under mandated occupying powers. Of course behind the scenes the US and its allies would have secretly worked out which areas of Nigeria to occupy guided as it were by naked economic interests.
It is trite really which power or powers eventually occupies Nigeria for whatever reasons. By the time the UN comes to take a decision to hand over Nigeria for occupation under its mandate, no part of Nigeria will emerge or profit truly from the exercise. The rump areas of Nigeria will all come under occupation and puppet governments will then be set up at the behest of the occupying powers. Nigeria’s fall will be like that of humpty-dumpty, into pieces beyond recognition.
The main beneficiary will of course be the United States which started all this in the first place and which will be there to profit at the end. By engineering the break up of Nigeria, the United States would have eliminated a potential continental rival paving the way to the institution of a Pax Americana in Africa and secondly it would have limited its main global strategic rival China from direct access to badly needed energy and other mineral resources on the resource rich African continent.
QUESTIONS WE NEED TO ASK OURSELVES AS NIGERIANS
Related News Media Against this background Nigerians need to stop and ask critical questions; what real purpose does it serve to deliberately leak a supposedly classified report from a US Intelligence organ normally restricted to only a handful of US policy makers only, to the media and for good measure ensure its wide circulation in the country against whom the action is targeted? Does that not indicate a statement of intent by the country that originated the report to serve as psychological intimidation for the purpose of softening up the targeted country making it ripe for intervention?
In any routine investigation of an act, investigators usually call in the statements of material witnesses before or after the act whether deliberately uttered or inadvertently; does the statement by the United States National Intelligence Council on the break up of Nigeria in 2015 not amount to culpability in this regard especially in view of the escalation in the seemingly intractable acts of subversive violence taking place in Nigeria after that statement was released and also in view of US antecedents in matters such as this around the world?
Why is it that a country which has always been known for its resilience and ability to resolve its problems without outside interference? Is this not indicative of the very Nigerian saying that the witch cried in the night and the child died in the morning?
Why is someone somewhere hell bent on engineering Nigerians to form the unNigerian habit of harbouring and perpetrating desperate, extreme and unforgiving actions against themselves?
Should we all 160million of us stand idly by and allow the United States achieve its selfish and diabolical aim of sowing discord in our country leaving us with widows, orphans and humanitarian problems as it has done in other places? Are we going to allow the labour of our heroes past which bequeathed us a nation second to none and reputed to be the backbone of Africa to die in vain?
From Vietnam to Iraq to Afghanistan and Latin America, America’s track record around the world has been nothing but ugly. In the words of its own statesmen, America has no permanent friends but permanents interests which translate into a healthy and utter disregard to the sensitivities and interests of other countries. That has pretty much formed the basis of US interaction around the world. The same situation will play itself out if we allow them in to our country.
Nigerians let us stop and think before we allow the big bad wolf in, for we will have nobody but ourselves to blame when our chickens start to get missing.
