Mount played well from the bench

This is what happens when your position is under threat
Mount should be relegated to the development squad for that post game reactions laughing and joking after the game.

Madueke should play slightly narrower so James can be playing high and wide more. Those two don't look Compactable.

People can't even point out a player having a bad game without it being seen as an agenda. No wonder this thread is always a shithole.

Considering how Mudryk is being closely marked. He probably feels passing to Mudryk is risky and will rather make an easier and less risky one.
He should stop thinking. What's the point of having Mudryk then?

Cucurella likes racing up the pitch, receiving the ball and immediately passing it back to his centre back. He hates passing to Mudryk.

Cucurella is the weakness. So out of sorts with the rest of the defence. Can't believe I actually wanted and defended this guy signing.

Let's just play well and win today.

I need small happiness this week. sad
Graham is going to serve us another dose of a boring 0:0 draw. The only reason am looking forward to this match is the link up of Havertz and Felix with Mount on the bench.

That could be 4-3-3, or according to PL app, 3-5-2 with Sterling wing back again. Reality is the formation is dynamic and fluid.

I admire Brighton's Style of Play shaaa... Potter Should Implement that style here.... Goodluck Potter!!
The big difference with Brighton and Chelsea is that teams don't sit back and defend against Brighton like they do against Chelsea. Teams set out to beat Brighton, Potter has no idea what it's like to play against teams that put every man behind the ball and tries to counter you. Hopefully his style works here.

Lols. If he doesn't trophies in a season or two, he'll be sacked.

Do you honestly believe the new owners will wait for a long period before Chelsea win a laurel?

I don't think so.
Giving him a 5 year contract and Bohley history of coaches in his other franchise points to him standing by his appointment long term. His Dodgers team has only one coach in 7 years.

A001:
Chelsea has sacked almost all its past managers. What makes him special?

Is he better than Mourinho, Ancelotti, Tuchel, or Sarri, who all got the sack?

What makes him better than Lampard? The decision is irrational to me.

Why sack a coach after signing a number of new players, who need time to adapt to a new team and a new league?

Better not to have high hopes with this new manager that's not even better than Lampard or Di Matteo.

It's bad Chelsea can't be patient for a little while for coaches.
As far as this appointments go, I think no matter your personal opinion on Potter, this feels like a big departure from any previous managerial appointment.
We have had 20 years of "win now" appointments, managers with pedigree who have experience succeeding at the top level. (With the exception of Di Matteo who was initially just an interim, and Lampard who signed during a transfer ban).

This actually means we are going to see a change in philosophy. I believe given time Potter can do well at Chelsea. I like to think the new ownership are appointing him knowing full well that this represents a long term commitment to a project hence the 5 years contract.

“Thomas Tuchel showed no emotional intelligence to adapt to the new structure and didn’t like speaking to so many people about transfers.

"His role wasn’t as complicated as he made it out to be too. He just had to give his say in who he wanted”

“Tuchel’s man management at the start was brilliant he got many players who were unhappy back in the team and built a brilliant squad harmony.

"But then all of a sudden in the last six months that all evaporated and many players became frustrated with him. Especially the attacking ones. 5 out of the 7 attacking players wanted out."

"Tuchel said no multiple times to Ronaldo as boehly and egbahli wanted a reason why he was saying no."

"They wanted to sit down with him and look at it from a data aspect and see why didn’t fit the team and Tuchel simply didn’t like that."

"The new ownership have been asking ppl about the hottest big prospect coaches around if they were gonna look to sack Tuchel back when they took charge of the club and Potter was a name which was coming back constantly and now hence why they moved for him."

 Matt Law - Telegraph

 @CFC_ChelseaFC

This seems like the real he was sacked, conflict in ideas and vision between the gaffer and the owners
With this attitude most incoming coaches will get tired of working with him very quickly. Wanting coaches to explain everything, from why they want or don’t want this transfer target, why this formation of tactics etc. That was how Abrahimovic was asking Mourinho "who was Drogba" "Where does he play for"and why he wanted him but Mourinho just said "Pay and don't speak. Nobody wants to be micromanaged like that, coaches just want to do their job and leave the transfer business to others while giving little input themselves.

100% correct, at times I wonder if no be Tuchel I dey see for touchline. As in we go still play the same thing yesterday
You must have watched a different match yesterday. Tuchel stood on the touch line waving people forward all the time, He gets mad when the players starts dithering on the ball when he wants them to think quicker. look at how pissed he was at Gallagher for not spotting the forward opportunity.
