I am surprised that your mason charges N30 per block for setting. Is that the prevailing rate in your area?

In some states, its N60-80 per block
Yes you are right ,the original charges is ₦45 but we excluded help assistance of ₦15 which we carry out by ourselves.
I hope he don't increase as the project progresses.

Hopefully by his grace I plan to use 60days for this starting from Monday 4th 2021 instead of my birthday date to reduce accumulated stressed that comes with digging of foundation and the pouring.

So to everyone that will be following please help me to subscribe to my channel at your will.
This place am building this houses is not my town or have any relationship with this place,I only saw an opportunity of cheap land here and I struggled to buy one, then was surprised that labour is cheap and grab it and started pushing.

Presently land has increased compared to the time I bought but is still affordable. And the way is done here,if you have money like a million, because I now know every one here you work up to the land owners and ask if he is selling his land. Reason is that at some point most times landlord needs to sell their land buyers are not readily available.

Hi
Please do you sill have BOQ of the project.
Thanks
I
I don't actually have it pen down but with what I wrote up there you can make calculation with the present cost of materials.
With the low cost of materials two years back it might amount to ₦2milion but with the rise of things you can make your own estimate.

Another of my birthday loading ....reason I plan on starting a new project,I can't be living like that because the economy is bad then I won't be doing anything positive with my life.
I just felt that no matter your goal in life even if it's not to build houses but other things you must create or build a stepping stone or ladder to help you climb to your goal and real estate is mine because no loss but always gain gain....
So guys next week Thursday October 7th is my birthday and which to hear from you all.

After today work I will update the house on my movement as per my discussion with the two engineers am debating on taking for this job.
So after reading the through the thread I need to negotiate so before sunset today gbam I was at the gate of the engineer he was surprised,is place is far and I no longer have his contact because have changed phone since last year we worked.
I bought a shovel for ₦2500 today instead of borrowing from neighbours I also did ask for the price of aluminium roofing sheets and was shocked to know that the same one bundle I got last year for ₦48000 is sold for ₦94000 which is almost double the amount.

I was supposed to use the service of the engineer I used for my pit suck away but he was charging ₦40 per block last price , reason was that he lives closer to me and his work is good too.
So today I decided to look for my original engineer he was already out to work lucky me the house he was building wasn't that far from his house. Immediately I met him it was as if all my problem was resolved, he made me feel at ease he was happy to start another project with me and he agreed on taking ₦30 per block,he also said he will create time this weekend to come over.
One thing I noticed working with him is that with him I don't have challenge with money once he is working with me and another thing all is work he has done for me am always able to complete the project.
So today I was able to mould 100blocks,an we were able to range all the block so we can see space to mould more blocks. So we have 441blocks in total by today.

Lastly on this 2rooms journey before my next building journey begins,I came to realise that it is not an easy thing to grow and become stable in Nigeria,I open this thread to assist and reset the thinking of struggling Nigerians like me. Please think wisely stop wasting your money to visa scammers, money doubling, irrelevant investment and outing and do your future some good.
I saw how Nigeria is going so I decide to hide myself in this investment scheme, yesterday was my 31st birthday and I decide to make myself happy by moulding over 200blocks and gave little fund to charity.
End of year project loading.... Peace.

Are you the one moulding the block yourself or the engineer
Engineers does not mould blocks but there are other set of person who does, they learn it specifically.
As for mine I have some one who does it for me.

Everything is on the high side compare to the last time I was building last year like cement for example I usually buy 10bags for ₦27000 but I but it presently for ₦34000 imagine the fat different of ₦7000
I usually buy sand for ₦15000_₦16000 and the present price is ₦20,000.
So today am going to create time to go through my thread so I can get updated on cost of materials I bought last year, this thread is more like my diary so what ever I state here is the truth and I can always refer back in the near future.

The video how I moulded my blocks in the last two days and also for those who want to learn block moulding you can through this video.
Most materials using for moulding are rented in my area but I was able to get them free, lucky me.
I got the mould from the person that sells cement and the shovel from a neighbour.
