Man Utd have been offering and extending rubbish contracts willy nilly to for years before ten Hag was ever mentioned here. Remember when Alexis was given nearly half a million dollars per week even when some Arsenal fans were saying he was already on his last legs? Was that ten Hag?

One thing people like to do here is choose a master villain and heap all the blame on that person despite it being obvious that there are others to blame as well. It is the same way a poster said on this forum that Garnacho was the reason the club had been struggling.

Amorim no even send anybody. He just de rotate de go, no matter the opponent, but i still thinks that Rashford should have started. On Maz, Bruno, Onana and de ligt have started all games so far under him. That Malacia on LWB against Saka. is giving me PTSD

This is where i have issues with some of you. It is incredible to place the blame for a contract extension on a manager (whose own contract has been torn up by the way), when there are several people in the club whose job it is to decide who gets contract extensions and who gets paid what.

Player ID, Training sessions, Team selection, Match tactics, In-game management. Those are the things to beat ETH with it, and there is enough there to jail him sef, but blaming him for Shaw's extension or blaming Ole for Jones extension, Martial's, Rashy's, and Sancho's salaries na off target.

SAF who used to decide everything in the club has been gone for over a decade. There are several people in the club being paid big bucks to do specific jobs. They should do it.

Ten Hag wanted full control and he was given, its very very likely and I think thats what happened, that he was the person who recommended and insisted that Shaws contract be renewed long term, I wont blame him for the salaries or the terms, but ETH has a big hand on who renews their contracts or who he doesn't want. In this new set up with Amorim we can excuse him. If he told the club that he doesnt see long term future of Shaw beyond say 1 or 2 years the club will not ignore his recommendations. So for me he takes the blame.

His wages are astronomical, his contract ends in 2026. I don't think any club will buy him in until he is free, in this PSR era, by that time his wages will be drastically reduced. His injury record is bad.

If he is a free transfer with like 50k/week salary many clubs will try.

Since Mainoo is ruled out, It remains to be seen whether Bruno retains his attacking spot while Ugarte Partners Case in midfield, or the Portugese drops to CM and probably Mount takes his place behind the CF. These permutations would depend on how "conservative" the manager's game plan is..

CB is an area that might be a cause for concern...

With Martinez out, we might be forced to start someone who is still battling to be match fit.

To think we might be forced to start either Maguire or Shaw

Honestly, I would have loved a back 3 of Martinez, DeLigt and Maz. But Shaw may start now. or even Maguire.

Casemiro made a few mistakes especially when premature sliding and stretching of leg, but if the midfield is not donut structured such mistakes can be corrected by nearby mistakes.

That donut midfield was the most significant tactical mistake that ETH made, alongside broader general issues like poor talent ID, poor team selection, poor substitution, poor coaching on the practice field.

Good you noticed it, Everton were not quality at all, Casemero made several mistakes, a better team would have punished us
