I some how doubt this stories. ...I am from the east and even till date corpers stay for free in our bq,and even get free food supplies from my aunt who takes care of the house,this has been like this for two decades plus,my late dad will always reminded everyone how Jakande made him not to spend a dime and train all his children,including some of his sales boys for free in Lagos schools.

You are absolutely right about listening when your car is talking to you,the thing is my golf 4 auto ,always beeps if anything is faulty,but truly,the beepings can be annoying,how can a car give u beeps every week.....used mine for 3 years,changed my engine the second and third year,then I was told to change both engine n gear box at 160k last year,and I got pissed. ..car that I brought in from Austria with 400k back then.

Well, the life span of this car depends on the maintenance and especially a good mechanic and genuine part replacement.

I am a proud owner of a VW Jetta 2009, Auto trans, bought at 77k miles and within one year I have done 23k miles on it without any fault, all I do is oil change at every 10k miles during routine service.

Don't be boxed into "if it is not Toyota or Honda" mentality. German vehicles are good.

Vw,s are sweet the first year and the rest is torture bro. May be your Jetta is manual transmission....or may be you are extremely lucky,cos all my friends with VW's,its the same painful stories.

Very cute ,but very useless if it is auto transmission,the manual transmission is manageable,no difference in disappointments with the golf 4...mostly over heating and engine and gearbox issues ,if auto transmission.
Fuel gauge malfunctions ,central electrical system malfunction(windows opening and closing on its own).

you can take the risk if you live in Ghana,expert Vw mechanics are there.


just get yourself a Toyota and have less stress,talking from experience .
