Some useless tenants that cannot afford even a room in a city will not learn lessons from this picture. They will be owing landlords years of rent and still be fighting them instead to go build one small cubicle in a remote location where no one will disturb them.
SmartPolician: This is end of the road for D'Tigress. But then, they have made us proud so far. On the flip side, if they beat the USA, they will definitely win the gold.
efighter: Useless parents will always have children they cannot take care of, and lazy youths like the OP will always post such nonsense here
There are several constituencies in this country. Even those that can afford also have genuine reasons to protest. She's only speaking for several other constituencies that you don't belong to.
I think we should continue this protest for the whole of August......Prices of perishable food stuffs already crashing. I'm waiting for my 33 and Goldberg to crash to #350 that I use to buy them few years ago.
Racoon: Another Arab spring about to sweep through the African continent. Gross insensitivity and autocratic tyrannical leadership best bestriding the continent. This just the frightening reality staring Africa and other third world countries.
Please who else is experiencing this. I just woke up to the realization that MTN has barred my line. The line has been linked to my nin for years but was just barred without warning or due notice.
I can't make calls, receive SMS notifications or receive calls.
Now I have to find a way to go to their office thereby missing my work on Monday.
Even if they were to bar it why on Sunday? What happened to Friday so I have the weekend to rectify the issue?
I smell fowl play
If you don't want your day to be ruined further, you better don't go to their office.
Same thing happened to me, and I've been to their office at Akowonjo this morning only to see the entire crowd of Alimosho local government. People fighting to get inside....if care is not taking, na for MTN office the protest go start.
ijebosb: Rest and when you reply to me next, it'll be helpful to know what you are talking about before talking about it. Look through the thread. Most of it was me correcting your misinformation that you kept repeating. If you read your posts and knowing what you know now, do you realize how much of what you wrote was nonsense?
You should thank me, you're smarter for this interaction. Now you can talk more in the know.
Fyi, it's easy for me to reply as I know this stuff.
It's better to leave your delusion state of knowing everything. Infact, I agree with everything you said Mr Know-All.
The fact that remains is Republicans won't debate a presumptive candidate.
They should find a different way to do a "mock-test" internally with all their presumptive candidates.
ijebosb: I find this alot when I land in Naij. People will argue things they have 0 idea about forever as if they hold a PHD in it. It's exhausting.
I've given you multiple articles to read and you're still repeating the same falsehood.
You should rest.... Honestly, take some break. I've read through the entire thread on this article, and I've seen that you're a robot in human form going by the speed and time you have replying every single messages.
And to generally insult people...you would say Nigerians....I suppose that the tag name for people that disagree with your stand point. I guess everyone that comment on this platform are Nigerians anyway....hence the generalisation.
ijebosb: Listen, I am telling you. I am in the know. You are not telling me how to see it. You are learning this on the fly by me, trying to explain to me what it is. Chai. Nigerians sometimes.
The formal nomination will happen before the convention. They are doing it because some Republican states were threatening to keep them off the ballot if they didn't do it early. Ohio set the date for Aug. 7th.
ijebosb: Actually you are wrong. The main thing is officially electing the nominee. That is done when the delegates vote. The delegates will vote for Harris on the roll call vote on Aug. 1st instead of the convention this year. The convention is just window dressing. If it doesn't happen it wouldn't matter.
You are writing all of this to deflect from the fact that Trump won't commit to scheduling a debate in Sept. after the Dem. nominee is selected. Think that through.
The Republican party made a conditional statement which is not too difficult to fulfill. .......We will consider debate after you come up with your substantive candidate after your convention.
Don't get things wrong, even after the roll/roster call endorsement, they still have a whooping 3weeks to change candidates if they want.
It's all politics they both playing anyway. But Dems own seems dirtier and tricky knowing fully well that whomever they endorse on Aug 1st may still not be the substantive candidate.
ijebosb: I hope you'll be a man and admit you were wrong.
Don't get it wrong. The right word to use is endorse, not nominate.
And in any case, they can do anything within their party as you said earlier, but the formal nomination will still have to happen at the convention.
See it like this...."You've been dating and courting a lady for 10yrs. Infact, you've had children together and living together. No matter what you do will pronounce you two as husband and wife. That's the power of formal expression.
That's why I said, the right word remains "endorse" until convention.
2.) Let's try this slowly. Trump has backed out of the September 10 debate. That is the debate we are talking about. September 10 is even after the Dem convention in Aug. Read that slowly.
I will respond to your No.2) From all I could gather, the Republicans are ready to debate only a substantive candidate and that's after the Dems have held their convention.
Holding a roll call is not the same thing as the main convention. The point here is why asking for a debate ahead of their convention.
Another thing to note is that even in a scheduled debate anyone can pull out if they so wish. But in this case, the Republicans have only hinged their participation in debate on condition that the Dems formally choose their candidate.
ijebosb: Kamal will be nominated on Aug. 1st through a Voice Roll call vote. Because some Republican led states threatened to keep the Dem candidate off their ballot. She will be then the official candidate Aug. 1st. The debate Trump is pulling out of is in September when Kamala would have been the official nominee.
As I said, the debates are set well in advance when no candidate is "official". All the debates happen when they are. This would have been no exception.
You don't even know what you're talking about. You can't nominate ahead of convention. You can only endorse because anything can still happen. The Democrat Convention comes up Aug19 to Aug 22.
The next presidential debate has been fixed for September 10, which means the Democratic party will by then have a substantive candidate.
ijebosb: Debates used to be set almost a year in advance of the election date by the Commision on Presidential Debates. There was never a nominee when the date of the debate was scheduled.
Go down history and check, there's no time a substantive candidate ever debate a presumptive candidate.
The dates for debate are set bearing in mind the "status" of the candidates. The next presidential debate has been fixed for September 10.
The Democrat Convention comes up Aug19 - Aug 22. So it is expected that a substantive candidate would have emerged.
So you can see, the debate date are carefully set so that a substantive candidate will not have to waste his/her time debating a presumptive candidate.
So Democratic party asking for a debate before Sept.10 is to try and do a "mock-test debate" of their presumptive candidate to feel the temperature ahead of their convention. If the weather doesn't feel good, then they will be looking at changing candidate again.
I support him. He cannot just keep debating everybody. It's better he debate a substantive candidate than continue to debate presumptive candidates.....How long will he do that for?
Why should a Substantive candidate debate a presumptive candidate?
Let Democratic party do their convention first and come up with their candidate instead of trying to "pickup" on Trump's point through debates and consequently adjusting/change their candidate.
Tempulated: No matter how worst the situation of country is. There will still be set of people who will still be balling. A set of people in this country have been in power corridors since the 1800s and they have extended families, friends, clients and others and you don't expect these people that are close to them to be suffering.. So figure it out and stop thinking poorly.
If you want to know a good and peaceful country. It is from the masses and public spaces you will find out. Not some rogues doing party and spraying money. As i'm typing now, I know some individuals in my vicinity who have billions sitting in their account. These set of people are close ties with government agencies.
And lastly don't forget we have diasporans who are lucky to have escaped the country and are making money legitimately. Then we have the people with illegitimate income who push drugs, fraudsters, trafficking, bunkery and all sort of crimes.
Regardless, the number of citizens who are suffering outnumbers the ones doing fine.
Expand your mind.
I'm quite financially stable. Never mind what I wrote about the "kind of work" I refer to earlier.
My point is the gap between the rich and the poor has been widened so much so that middle-class citizens has been wiped almost completely out. It's now either you're rich or you are poor.
People begging for food just to survive have increased beyond reasonable level. Everywhere you turn in almost all the streets are beggars.
I'm not saying people should not be rich or super wealthy, but atleast, let there be reasonable and fair distribution of resources to meet the masses need.
Unless I also want to turn blind eyes to the issues. I know that people are seriously suffering because my neighbor just came to collect a bowl of garri for herself and her son.
I have a problem with this country. People are complaining of hardship and right here people are "throwing" money like water at a party I am right now.
Somehow I ask the question what are they doing every time I see such acts. Seems I must be lazy or not doing the right jobs.
Remman: Gbam! Them don tight everywhere for Bello, ex Kogi governor. But why is this one guy such a pain in the ass that the whole Nigerian government can't fish him out for arrest within Nigeria and instead would criple its own economy just to catch him? This guy tough...
Who tell you Nigerian government can't catch him? It's all political. If they want to arrest him this your, they know what to do. Remember, the government runs the security forces. They are just being selective of which meat is worth to fry and which is worth to boil. Personally, I like boiled meat.
Frying some meat will make them tough, while boiling them will make them soft. E.g, You can see democrats trying to fry D. J. Trump, but he gets tougher by the day.
