It seems you know more about this thing, I might consider getting a smart box so that I can see the difference of what you are talking about, thank you for the information.

Also you know you can use IPTV on laptop right?
Basically, IPTV means watching TV via the Internet.

IPTV (Internet Protocol television). Youtube that we all watch on laptops is already an example of IPTV provider.
That said, you can also sideload Android Apps on Laptops using Bluestack and other software mirroring Apps.

Some gaming consoles double as Smart TV boxes as well. e.g Nvidia Shields.

Hmmm... Some of your assertions are wrong. You can get Kodi running on an Android smart TV. Android TV doesn't guzzle data any more than the tv boxes. Speaking of TV boxes, some of them come preloaded with malware and backdoors. If you should get one, I'll recommend Amazon fire devices or Google Chromecast.
Kodi is available at Android play-store, so yes it can be downloaded but installing the super repo on it on smart TV doesn't work. I've been using my smart boxes for over 8years now and I don't have any issues with them. I don't want those official boxes that you quoted specifically because they don't allow you to "flexibly cheat" especially with geolocation channels just like the smartness in the smart TV, which was why I always recommend smart boxes.

As regard data consumption, my TV guzzle data like vampire. I can't use 100GB for a week on my smart TV, while the 100GB will last a month on my smart box.

You can use IPTV on your smart TV, you don't need Smart Box on it.
Where have you been? Argghhhhhh!

We all fu****kn know your above statement is true. What we are saying is you will be paying data with your blood running "smart" directly on the TV. I've tried as many smart TV as you can think of, and I can tell you for a fact that it doesn't worth it especially if you are looking at getting the juicy stuffs from IPTV.

LG operates with Webos, Hisense on Vidaa, and even the Hisense that operates Androids limits what you can do with the smartness of the TV. For example, I'm replying you right from my smart box. My whatsapp, facebook, tiktoks are all right on smart box. You don't get all those capability on smart TV.

Let me keep it simple for you....Android smart box is exactly your android phone. So basically everything and anything you can do on your phone can be done via your smart box. Smart TV dont offer you that flexibility, plus smart TV suck your data like vampires. Trust me, I have two smart TV's at home, and I had to ignore the smartness in them and go for TV boxes. I have tried both worlds, TV boxes are the way to go.

I've been using them for over 8years now. And if you just manage to configure Kodi, you will even be able to view channels from heavens....Just kidding, but truth is, With Kodi, that's the beginning and end of entertainment. You can never get kodi on your Smart TV. Only smart boxes and your mobile phones will give you that!

What you never try, you never know. If you need repositories for Kodi, I can give you some amazing super repo. Where your Smart Tv will be scoring 2/10, smart boxes will be scoring 9/10.....and this is just based on pure usage and available functionalities.

Consider the fact that good smart box costs a lot of money. Those ones you posted above will lag a lot and you will not enjoy good it.
Based on my findings, smart box with smooth operations will cost at least 80k
It's because we are always late to every party as usual. Smart box and IPTV systems have been in operations for almost 15years now. I bought my Android box "X88 Pro 10" 8years ago for just 6k. Now, I think the version has reached "Pro 15"!

The price has gone up because Nigerians are beginning to buy into the IPTV market. DSTV has shown people lots of shege.

Smooth operation of the box is largely dependent on your smooth and steady internet and not the box in itself.

I'm not talking about the size of my TV alone but also the resolution, of course it's 4k enabled.

And I do watch both movies and football match in 4k resolution but my data don't zap that much, see your data depends on how you use it, if you are the type that steam unnecessary things then it's impossible that you will have much data left, the pocohantas we are talking about, I doubt if she watched movies/shows in 4K.
Stop deceiving yourself and stop faffing around with smart TV. There's nothing smart in it. It will continue to consume your data like vampires. If you want to enjoy IPTV, you must get a smart box.

Connect the smart box to your smart TV via HDMI cable. Remove all your internet logins and connections on the smart TV and transfer them unto the smart box.

You will find this arrangement swift and cost saving. Infact, I doubt if you will finish #20k worth of data in a month for ALL your internet need.

Mine is a family of 5, and everyone connects to the wifi with their devices, 2 TV boxes connected as well and I use 20k Glo monthly even with downloads of movies and watching of live matches.

You've been snoozing too much and spending a lot running IPTV on your smart TV. I know you're telling the truth because I've used the smartness that came with my TV before and I know how it ran down my data in a matter of days.

But truth be told, "smart box" is the way to go and not "smart TV". Infact, the smart in "smart box" is smarter than that of "smart TV". I'm writing you this message using my smart box. I Facebook and Whatsapp with my smart box. Basically, anything you can do with your phone, you can do with your smart box.

Attached is a picture of smart boxes in case you don't know what I'm talking about.

It's either she's lying or she didn't know the amount of data she subscribed for. mine use to last me for a month and I even download movies from 1GB upwards, stream and do everything with it, sometimes I don't even finish all in a month.
He is using smart TV instead of smart box. Yes smart TV can consume that much within days. I've advised him to get smart box and connect it to the TV instead.

The problem here is that many people don't know the difference between smart TV and smart box.

Most of the smart boxes have 2USB ports, Yes, you can connect wireless USB keyboard in one and wireless USB mouse in the other.

If you need more USB ports, you can get USB port extension adaptor.

Inflation is killing everything! I guess Pro 13 is the latest version of the X88, but Android has reached version 15, so if there's any box of the latest android version, I would suggest you go for that one. I got the X88 Pro 10 with 128gb storage though because I like to download movies.

if you follow closely my post on this thread, i just uploaded links to steady free iptv channel (non premium) AND link to free premium channel as well. as i have explained earlier, the free premium links are not steady and always break after a few weeks, so after using free premium links for about 2years, i finally paid for a premium channel subscription and it makes my IPTV life so much more easier.

yessir!!! i feel exactly the same way.

if you have unlimited internet, then simply download the app SMARTIPTV on your tv and use it for the 1 month free trial....upload any one of the link i posted earlier, and enjoy free premium channels for 1 month!

you are welcome, let me know if you have any issues.

no scam here and you will have to contact them directly for that... i posted their whatsapp and email above (i think they are in Morocco). i have been with them for a while now and their service has never let me down, never buffers, never get broken.... perfect setup for me. i 1st used them for a 1 month trial before i started using their yearly service.

never tried Kodi but i just looked and sadly no Kodi on LG store and pain in the ass to sideload it. 45€ per year is a bargain "for me" to have all premium channels on earth. thats like less than 4€ per month for fantastic content from everywhere around the world.
Oh, I see where the issue is for you. You are using LG Smart TV! Foremost, that will scoop your data like vampires and will also limit what you can do with your screen. Get Android Smart Box and connect it to the TV instead. Remove all wifi logins and connections on you LG TV and transfer them unto the smart box. Now, the smart box is exactly your phone! Right now, I'm writing this message right on my TV screen using the smart box. I reply my whatsapp messages via smart box, I have my facebook on my smart box etc...Virtually anything you can do on your phone can be done on your smart box. In other words, the smart box now works like a desktop CPU while the TV act as the screen. All you need to add for comfort and convenience is a wireless keyboard.

You will never be able to get so many things on LG Smart TV! It's operating system is Webos. And just like Hisense Operating system VIDAA, you can only do within the limits they offer.

Once you get Android smart box and download Kodi, you will be able to watch even channels from heaven. If you have an android phone, you can test Kodi to have a feel of what it's like. It's quite challenging configuring "Super repositories" if you're not tech inclined, but there are step-by-step guides on the internet....just do a google search on how to configure Kodi repositories. I can give you some amazing "repo" later

I spend 20k monthly on Glo data, and that caters for every TV viewing in the house, every phone connections to wifi (a family of 5), all the latest movies to watch and download, all premium live matches and leagues from all over the world. The kids have unlimited cartoons and in many languages.....What more? There are adult channels and some are even live on cam to chat with. "I particularly like Lucy of xxxsensual.

Attached is picture of TV boxes. I use "X88 Pro 10", but there are high end and pricy ones too like the Nvidia Shields. That's what you need to enjoy IPTV free of charge to the fullest including all f****kn premium channels all over the globe and in heavens and not the smart TV!

Don't fûck with smart TV unless your data sub is uncapped

Meanwhile by the time you get that uncapped data you're paying more than DStv sub already... it's a zero-sum game
I've been using smart box for 8years now, and I can tell you that it's advantages far outweighs DSTV. It's like heaven and earth!

The problem is, most people are mistaken smart TVs and smart boxes up. They are two different things. Smart boxes uses data at the same rate as your phone. Attached is pictures of smart boxes

true... very expensive (thus beats the purpose)

IPTV is a term for apps out there that will give you all the channels of the world on your device (premium Movie channels, premium sport, premium series and documentary, children and adult content etc from everywhere around the world... some are free, but most have a small fee. i pay €45 per year, for unlimited content... i wonder why people with unlimited internet still pay for cable TV. here is what i wrote on the subject a while ago:
There are free IPTV. I don't know why you are dashing someone €45. And if you know how to configure Kodi, your world of entertainment has just begun!

Download Kodi from official app store and install super repo addons. You can send me €20 for this info.

I've only been using "X88 Pro 10" and I bought it around 6k 8years ago. I guess they all do the same thing. I haven't tried others so it's difficult to recommend, however, just like phones, there are high end TV boxes such as Apple and Nvidia Shields boxes. And so many things also account for the price differences too. E.g Storage Capacity, RAM, operating systems and versions.

If you're going to be downloading lots of movies, you may want to consider the one with high storage capacity. It all depends on your need and taste.
