TV/Movies › Re: My Experience Using A Smart TV by CaptainFM1: 11:41pm On Jun 23, 2024
ALABACONNECT:
Call me old school or stingy but if I am to advise people that have smart tv sets, get a smart tv that can upscale so you would just have to screen mirror whatever you want to watch from your phone to the tv. It is cheaper. Opening some of these apps directly from the tv set consumes a whole lot of data.
No need to screen or cast. That's old school!. All he need is a Smart box not Smart TV! Smart box consumes data at the same rate as the phone.

The Ops doesn't seem to know the difference between smart box and smart TV. Attached shows pictures of smart boxes. Been using mind for 8yrs now.

With smart box, you can even connect it to the old cathode ray tube TV.

Basically, smart box turns any TV to smart TV. Don't buy the "high end smart TVs". Just buy ordinary TV and a smart box Shikena.

The OPS doesn't follow simple instructions.

I also have smart TV at home, but I ignore the smartness in the TV, but instead use a smart box and use the TV as just ordinary TV.

Smart box is different from smart TV.

Who is advising you to use a smart TV?
Get a smart box which will consume data at almost the same rate as your phone.

Christianity Etc › Re: Christ Embassy Fire: Journalists Harassed, Asked To Delete Videos by CaptainFM1: 3:15pm On Jun 23, 2024
PressMyButton:
The premises belongs to Christ Embassy, they have the right to cordon it off and ensure safety protocols among which is to restrict journalists from unneccessary access. If they asked journalists to delete videos, they're well within their rights. There're videos/pictures out there already, that is enough to sell your newspapers.
An incident or accident area under investigation is exclusive preserve of the state authority and not the owner. It's the state that has the right to cordon the place off and not even Christopher O.

I would rather go to a bar or a strip club on a Sunday morning than to go to any Church in Nigeria.
Christianity Etc › Re: Lagos Fire Service Brings Christ Embassy Fire Under Control (Pics) by CaptainFM1: 2:54pm On Jun 23, 2024
vanbonattel:
Lagos fire service are the slowest fire response team in the world, they couldn't do anything to stop the fire, just spent a lot of time spraying water on the flowers of the church building and in the end, the fire ran out when it got to the end of that line.

I wonder why they wasted time and damaged the building on the southern side to puncture and unneeded hole into the walls.

The church should just check if their money is missing. This is not fire fighting.
Do you know how long the Grenfell Tower fire lasted?

Whilst every fire incident is different, the same basic prevention and control principles applies to them all. Early detection of an ember is very important to quickly control and restrict a fire.

An edifice of that magnitude should have an auto-fire detection and auto-fog system incorporated. There's nothing that stops them from also having a fire-wardens whose jobs are carryout fire watch patrol rounds at regular intervals. Also what fire sensors are in place in this edifice? There are auto sensor that will alert fire services at the earliest even before someone would make a phone call.

All I see in that building is a massive structure with no safety consideration in place. What kind of fire detection & prevention system does that structure has? This is the pertinent question to ask.

Chepos1:
Where is Fire service when you need them most?

May God help them. cry
Did you call them? And did you call them when the fire was small?

The right question to ask is what fire prevention and fire control measure does a church of that magnitude have in place pending the arrival of fire service department?

Every inferno starts with an ember. The small ember was left undetected either by the use of sensors or human.

Most of the time, we leave the basic safety and security measures we should take and wait for the arrival of external organization to come to the rescue.

That's 275% inflation!

If we go by this food inflation for you alone, minimum wage should be increased to #112,500.

Anything less than #100,000 as minimum wage is best described as "Slave Wage".

You would think the two are fighting for you. Their back and forth tweet perfectly orchestrated just to give Nigerians something to chew and deflect our attention from the rots in the entire system.

While, that is fizzling away, they are already cooking another meal for dinner....e.g, "Releasing Bobrisky out of Prison...and we will chew that topic for a month or two. This cruise mentality is gradually killing every fabric of our society. Nothing serious will be done to tackle food inflation or worker's slavery wage of #62,000.

It's not their show. There's no need for them to steal the shine from Cyril. You know some countries traditional attire is just a towel robe and such could be obscene or inappropriate for the occasion. They all dressed rightly for the occasion.

Finidi will never win African player of the year. So unfortunate. Worst still, Finidi may never make one-tenth of the kind of money Osihmen is making. The final uppercut is Finidi and almost all the local coaches need the foreign base players for stipends to survive.

If you still think Nigeria can qualify for this world cup with a local coach, you are deceiving yourself. We may need to win all the remaining 6 matches to qualify. It's better to hire Pep Guardiola on a part-time basis for this task if we really want to qualify.

Most drinks and sausages sells better on the road than in outlets, so they follow them enter roads too.
