If you chop her, it may also be that you are responding or returning Karma back to something her father or someone in her family had done elsewhere to someone. .....and that cycle continues.
So if you belief there's Karma, be rest assured that you or your siblings or someone close to you will also suffer similar fate or something worse...and that cycle also continues.
So, at what point does Karma cancels out for our offences/ills?
Rather than seeing it as Karma, i'ld rather see it as "life happens". And indeed, life happens to everyone either in a good way or in a bad way. |
Politics › Re: "This Is Not A Nightclub", Akpabio Cautions Natasha Akpoti by CaptainFM1: 10:01am On Jul 19, 2024 |
TopBanter: I don't understand your point or whether you even have one. Contextual example made with Yari is not the essence of my post. Far from it.
My main and simple point is that Akpabio should remain in his position if he is not failing Nigeria in regards to his core duty of leading the house progressively and productively. Scolding Akpoti inappropriately does not damn Akpabio a poor or innefective SP.
Nigerians, if progressive, should focus more on the bills being ratified into law under him plus progressive assistance given to the executive arm.
The legislative arm of Government for any Country practising our type of democracy, eg the USA, is a glorified meat market for lobbyist and interest groups to get bills ratified into the law that abets their own interests and agenda. Lobbyist in the US even get paid stupendous amount of money for this purpose.
To me, that is what Akpabio should bring progressive influence to bear on because Nigerian leaders love hiding behind the law.
It is the reason those who manage to smuggle regressive legislation in place, like the ludicrous 1999 constitution, defend it blindly today and will do so forever unless defeated.
Akpabio is there to aid the progressives delivery of transformational laws others have fought to keep out since 1999. That is a fact.
Saying Yari would have been the opposite is not all you should note if you understand the entire message. SMHFU! I'll leave you with your point(s). Continue with your comparisons. Do you see me mentioning Yarrri, AkPabLo, and others? |
Politics › Re: "This Is Not A Nightclub", Akpabio Cautions Natasha Akpoti by CaptainFM1: 9:17am On Jul 19, 2024 |
TopBanter: Yes Akpabio's utterances is uncalled for and ungracious. Perhaps even demeaning to Senator Akpoti. Yet you should not use that to demonize the APC or Presidency of Tinubu .
Akpabio must do better with his utterances but more important, regardless of his flaws, is his retention as SP so that some of the required legistlations that can transform Nigeria for the better can go from sponsored bill to ratified Nigerian laws.
God forbid someone like Lawan in place of Akpabio. Lawan may be more circumspect in speech than Akpabio yet he was about preventing everything that can facililitate Nigeria's development while abetting those who want us to remain like Somalia and Afghanistan.
Forget the smiles of our legislators when they are together. Beyond the show of public cameraderie for the camera, they all know what they are in our legislative houses for.
I.e gatekeepers for their sectional/regional and ethnic interests which is number 1 above everything else. Those who are there to protect interests that keep Nigeria backwards will still do their jobs unless they can be subjugated by those who are progressives and want best for Nigeria.
That is what should matter most when judging Akpabio. If Yari had defeated Akpabio to be SP then nothing for the realisation of progressive ideals and initiatives. You have have time to be comparing Apples with oranges. I only deal with whoever is presently at the helm of affairs. Government is continuun, and the whole buck lies at the desk of whomever is currently entrusted with the responsibilities of governance. Past is past! |

Lolz419: David Umahi: Umahi is the current minister of work. He is the immediate past governor of Ebonyi state. He was elected into the senate in 2023 election, but resigned to take the appointment of minister of works.
Simon Lalong: Lalong is currently a senator. He is the immediate past governor of Plateau state. He was appointed minister of Labour, but resigned his ministerial position when the court declared him senator of his senatorial zone.
Considering the uncertainties and failure of this govt so far, who do you think made the right decision between the two of them? But Lalloong did say Ministerial work is tedious. He opted for senate because he wants easy life and unquestionable looting/free constituency allowance. |

MrBrownJay1: in the past i was using a box (T95) but wasnt giving me as much and too many remote (box/Tv etc), while smartIPTV gives me as much as i need with no box and only using TV remote.... what exactly are you saying that i am lacking? i dont understand.
bro i dont live in Nigeria...i have unlimited optical 500GB speed (upload and download), and since my TV is connected directly in the internet modem (not Wifi) i have never lacked and it never buffers (even if 4 different devices are heavily using the internet...Youtube/Netflix, video call or heavy gaming). i really dont need to have my whatsapp/FB on my tv as i really dont want such apps out there like that. lol! Calm down with your special unique peculiarity. I've lived better parts of my life overseas too. You already know the situation of Nigeria when it comes to affordable data and good speed internet. What we are trying to manage here is the economic reality in Nigeria vis-a-vis watching premium TV via the Internet. Running your data via your TV directly isn't an issue for you, neither is it an issue for me because you and I aren't in the class of majority of Nigerians. Is it my neighbor that came to beg garri early this morning that will have Smart TV? Let alone running data directly on it. But with his ordinary old Cathode tube box TV, he can buy a small smart box and connect and be managing about 20Gb a month to watch better channels because DSTV is not even affordable for the common man anymore in Nigeria. I hope this clarifies. |

Opatoranking: Yes, a Governor can the national Flag to be flown at half mast…but it’s only applicable to the aforementioned state while the president can order for all the states in the Federal Republic.
A commandant in a military school can even order the national flag to be flown at half mast if he loses one of his associates. What statute are you quoting? There must be a national instrument somewhere that backs up this your point. Otherwise, even motor park leader and market women leader could also give such orders too. You should quote a section of our national instrument that gives the governor such power. I don't think the governor is referring to the national flag. Perhaps he's referring to PDP flag, state denominated flag and other subjugated flags. |
