Boteyy: @Caracta,
Thanks for the candid opinion, well there is a little story to the disbursement of the loan ... it was a legit loan but no documentation signed ... all was verbal ... only the application requesting for the loan ... and in my application it was clearly stated that it should be structured for six months like others were. pls note this loan was obtained by 2 other staffs and structured for 6 months as it is the default repayment time ... This is why documentation is important. When money is involved, verbal agreement is not enough...especially in the corporate world. What do you even want to present to the court? Their word against yours? The application wasn't even granted on paper. Forget about the other people. Focus on your situation. They can decide to treat anybody whichever way...their choice not yours. After all, customers are treated differently. You knew you were "different" right from the day they employed you and probably wouldn't favour you because of religious grounds as you claimed, yet you couldn't cover your ass with a piece of document? By that fraudulent act, you gave them a reason to finally get rid of you. Sorry bro. Learn your lessons. Appeal for soft loan repayment schedule. Confide in anyone you think can help you talk to them. Move on. Christians shouldn't do fraud. |

You have no case. You are lucky you were not arrested.
I'm glad you admit your fault. Restructuring a loan without approval is a fraudulent act. Before the loan was disbursed, didn't you view the loan structure? Didn't you sign any document? Was the repayment plan not laid out before you?
Settle out of court. That's my opinion. |

eaglechild: If the Oba of Lagos the paramount traditional ruler of Lagos does not represent a people then who does?
Yes he is human and can err, but since he is human, he should also be able to apologize.
For his subjects to now throw their weight behind him and say that he is above apology then they also share in his short comings. Ok. Is that the problem. The Igbos want the Oba's direct apology? That and that alone? I actually think it's beyond this. Are you saying if I hurt you and refuse to apologize but my parents, siblings, friends and colleagues humbly apologize to you over and over again, you wouldn't forgive until I apologize in person? Hmmm. That's deep. |

fr3do: Why shouldn't I compare Lagos to Abuja? Because the comparison doesn't serve your argument? Lagos land is owned by the people who have them in possession, I buy a 100 by 100 in Lagos, that part of Lagos is mine as a Nigerian I have the right to have possessions in any part of Nigeria. That's shallow. Abuja is the Federal Capital for chrissakes! Are you for real? |

eaglechild: That is exactly the point.
You do not see Abuja natives coming out to threaten residents to vote a particular candidate or get their heads smashed against Aso rock. Lagos natives didn't do that either. A traditional ruler did and his action has been condemned several times. Since when did one person represent an entire tribe or ethnic group? Even if he was a representative, a public and humble apology has been made by both individuals and political figures. We have apologized for what another person said. Not once, not twice. Do we really need to go on and on over this matter? For how long? Personally, I don't expect Igbos to be moved by threats. Can we just move one already and stop this Lagos-ownership baseless debate? |

fr3do: What is your definition of 'free for all', a situation where Nigerians can freely exercise their civil right to vote in Nigeria?
Do you see Abuja natives threatening any Nigerian in Abuja? Pls don't compare Abuja with Lagos. Let's cut the chase. Do you agree that Lagos has owners or belongs to some group of persons or group? Btw, Abuja belongs to some set of people originally. Making it a Federal Capital doesn't take away the rightful ownership but just a bigger responsibility and National management. Pls answer my question. Thank you. |
