B2mario: This is from Oga Sanusi, the distinguished and respected Emir of Kano:
Break Nigeria into its component parts and … –SanusiOnApril 6, 20172:58 pmInNews,PoliticsCommentsBreak Nigeria into its component parts, and these parts of the countryare among the poorest, if it were a country. And we do not realise we are in trouble said Emir of Kano,Muhammadu Sanusi ll, on Wednesday.Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the Emir of KanoSanusi, speaking on the theme ‘Promoting Investments In The Midst of Eonomic Challenges’ at the Kaduna State Economic Summit in Kaduna said North, as a region, has the highest population in Nigeria and lacked the necessary indices to show progress.‘We are living in denial. The North-West and the North-East, demographically, constitute the bulk of Nigeria’s population, but look at human development indices, look at the number of children out of school, look at adult literacy, lookat maternal mortality, look at infant mortality, look at girl-child completion rate, look at income per capita, the North-East and the North-West Nigeria, are among the poorest parts of the world.“As far back as 2000, I looked at the numbers, Borno and Yobe states, UNDP figures: Borno and Yobe states, if they were a country on their own, were poorer than Niger, Cameroon and Chad.“Nobody saw this because we were looking at Nigeria as a country that averages the oil-rich Niger Delta, the industrialand commercial-rich Lagos, the commercially viable South-East, and you have an average.“Break Nigeria into its component parts, and these parts of the countryare among the poorest, if it were a country. And we do not realise we are in trouble.”“Other Muslim nations have pushed forward girl-child education, they’ve pushed forward science and technology. They have pushed forward the arts. We havethis myth in northern Nigeria, where we try to create an Islamic society that never existed.”“We need to understand the roots of the problem of northern Nigeria. Burning books, it happened in Kano. What is the crime of those books? They were writingabout (love), and love apparently is supposed to be a bad word.“In a society where you don’t love your women and you don’t love your children, you allow them to beg, you beat up your women, why should anyone talk about love?“We have adopted an interpretation of our culture and our religion that is rooted in the 13th century mindset that refuses to recognise that the rest of the Muslim world has moved on.“If you are an Imam or a pastor and shed blood you are a criminal,” Sanusi said.He also said “Nasir, I support you on this one, any pastor or Imam that commits crime should be arrested, tried and jailed were necessary,”“Today in Malaysia, you wake up and divorce yourwife; that is fine. But you give her 50 per cent of all the wealth you acquired since you married her. It is a Muslim country. In Nigeria, you wake up after20 years of marriage, you say to your wife, ‘I divorceyou’, and that’s it.“Other Muslim nations have pushed forward girl-child education; they’ve pushed forward science and technology. They have pushed forward the arts. We havethis myth in northern Nigeria, where we try to create an Islamic society that never existed.“We are fighting culture, we are fighting civilisation. We must wage an intellectual war, because Islam is not univocal. There are many voices, there are many interpretations, there are many viewpoints, and we have for too long allow the ascendancy of the most conservative viewpoints. The consequences of that are that there are certain social problems.”Further speaking on comments on by Abdulaziz Yari, governor of Zamfara state, on meningitis Sanusi said “how have we reduced ourselves, what have we done as a people, that we have placed ourselves in a situation where simple things, a medical issue…you don’t have vaccines, say you don’t have vaccines.‘200 people died of meningitis in a state, the governor was asked and he said it is God’s curse on us for the sin of fornication, which apparently does not happen in America, whichis why they don’t have meningitis.”“Treat those who have contracted it, don’t give these kinds of explanations. But this themindset. I have a degree in Islamic law, and I can tell you that is not an Islamically correct statement to make.“These are the kinds of things that we have; and when we talk about a difficult environment, we realise that 90 percent of that difficulty, we can address, because it is self-inflicted.” Did he actually say all this... Mehn! This is what I call "Home Truth". NICE ONE SIR. |

Afriifa: dude I have travelled the Nigerian state, at least I can tell you this" whenever I say I am from Niger Delta, this what they ask me? are you Ijaw? or Urhobo. but do you know what I do tell them? I say both, because to me even if you call me an Edo man(some of my friends here in benue calls me "Omono Oba" that's a term in Benin meaning King) I still answers it. only the Igbos tries to force me to accept Igbo kinship, some even went to the length to say my forefathers were all igbo they denied Igbo because they were afraid of death during the civil war. just look how deformed they think... all this is to state it clearly that I am never seen as an Igbo person outside my region once I mention the word "niger delta"so don't come here with that.. forgive my writings. I do answer any tribe in Niger Delta n it is funny I even have an efik guy at school that calls me with his efik dialect. i don't understand the meaning but I do answer d name whenever he calls me. to me Niger Delta should be respected just the way they are. we don't need any majority tribe in the nigerian state to join us.. keep that at the back of your mind My brother, there are Igbos in the Niger Delta too, in almost every state of the Niger Delta. that not withstanding am not calling you an Igbo man but we ( Niger Deltans) share a certain degree of Kinship with the Igbos. Honestly I don't see the Niger Delta ever becoming an independent State moreover in the initial creation of the Biafran republic we had proper representation from the Niger Delta. Now I know a lot of Igbos go about this issue the wrong way, Name calling everyone that shares a different view, i say these are the misinformed and hate filled ones and that attitude will not help the cause. But my question bro is who would you rather pitch your tenth with. Nigeria that has exploited your resources, destroyed your lands and lives yet see you as a nonentity or Biafra that sees you as an equal partner in the quest for Emancipation. Note: I am an 100% Urhobo - all four grandparents - |

Afriifa: I am always happy becuase I am the envy of your kinsmen... If I have to use a gun to stop Biafrans from forcefully anexing my ancestral lands to join theirs, I will gladly be the first.
That's howmuch I hate your types, and the more you try to ridicule me for speaking my mind, that's how much I will keep the same pace. My Brother , am not here to convince you, but sincerely ask yourself, If the country is to be divided today, who are you better off with, The Fulanis/Yoruba/Hausas or The Igbos, Any person outside the south already calls you Igbo, the name Biafra is from The Bight of Biafra now called Bight of Bonny by the Nigerian Government all in a futile effort to distort history, So you see the nation is named after your coastline and the Nation predates Nigeria, Yes your forefathers identified as Biafrans, it's a shame we have left the struggle to a few because we have not been taught the proper history. |

izzou: If you feel pained by my write up,then I can't help you. You folks come online and rant but you don't know what it feels like to fight a war. Ask your parents. Even though they love Biafra, they can never wish such experience befall us again.
Don't quote me again cause you will be highly ignored Nobody is calling for War! We just want Freedom! the Struggle for self determination is a fight for equal right and equality of opportunity , We are not a violent people, We have never Physically Attacked anybody, What does it cost to be loved and left alone, You are our brothers but we want to make a path for ourselves, we want to determine our future, nobody needs a Dibia to Know this century old experiment has failed. We are not crazy to continue same thing while expecting a different result, I beg of all Nigerians Today, Biafra is a dream that will never die unless it is realized, it is not a scheme by self acclaimed corrupt Leaders of Igbo Land but a desire deep in the heart of every true Indigene of the Bight of Biafra, We were once a Nation, now we are a mere Contraption, locked and Mangled in this Concentration Camp called Nigeria. But we will always remember Zion, we will never forget who we are , we shall engrave it in the hearts of our children and I know that someday Biafra Shall be Free. "National aspirations must be respected; people may now be dominated and governed only by their own consent. Self determination is not a mere phrase; it is an imperative principle of action. . . . NaijainTexas: It's so sad how media takes some false news and runs with it. I can categorically say that the comment was NOT made by Ajibola. That is not her thoughts, her style nor account. How can you all be raining curses on a new young mother?
That is an account of a mad woman parading as Ajibola. She's been doing that for years. Notice the photo on the conceited_csj account is not even the same woman in the other pictures, let's use some sense. And for some of you that throw assumptions out there, she did do some of her schooling in Nigeria.
It's understandable you are upset with the actions of the Governor, but I think some of the unfounded accusations and insults towards her because of this false news are out of line. You can categorically state what? was the account just created to post that thrash? or are you the owner of the account ? just shut your mouth otherwise you will receive your own portion of their curses. spewing thrash for whatever benefits... rubbish. |

@OP I hope you get to read my comment, love can be tricky and twisted, I can see you truly love her and believe me her love for you is also genuine but her boyfriend has a hold on her, she feels indebted to him for reasons best known to her (you could find out though). A lot of us are in similar love triangle where you meet your soul mate but you are already in a relationship with someone that has given up so much for you and you feel like the devil ending things with them. My advice to you is end the relationship now, unless you are patient enough to let her sort things out which might take a long while and the final decision might still not go in your favor. So in short - Free Her!!! You no be Romeo. |
