Family / Re: My Wife Wants To Leave Me by carpdiemz: 8:49am On Jan 15, 2020
Platini7:
Please i created this moniker to seek advise on this issue.

I got married to my wife in 2018 and there's already an issue that is threatening our young marriage.

We dated briefly 10 years ago before she travelled to the US for schooling. She stayed there for a while and then got into a relationship over there with a guy i know (I wasn't close friends with the guy). I had to move on with my life and got into a relationship of my own here in Nigeria.
Back then, i use to have this silly habit of creating anonymous facebook accounts where i would add people i know and comment on their posts and pictures without them ever knowing i was the one. I dropped many comments back then and one such incident happened to be a time i commented on her close friend's picture, telling her (the friend) she was pretty and how i wanted her. This was almost 10 years ago and i swear i never meant any of those words. It was just a silly joke and i had completely forgotten all that.
My wife returned Nigeria in 2016 and somehow we reconnected and got married in 2018.

Just last week, she stumbled on those posts i made in 2010-2011 and got really heartbroken and upset. Right now, even after pleading with her, she says she wants to quit the marriage. She packed a few of her stuff and travelled home to Abia state from our base in Lagos. So far, what she told her family in the east is that she just came back to visit them for a little while because she couldn't come back during xmas.
Now she's threatening that i won't see my 1 year old son anytime soon cos she's already making plans of relocating abroad for good.

Please my question is this; Do you think this issue is enough to cause this kind of disharmony in our home?
What do you advice?
Thank you

sorry boss I don't think she would took this issue to that level if you are very financially ok or have your own USA Visa too. just hussle and move on you can't beg her but I bet it with you she might not be able to married again oh cuz dat USA has lot of singles ladies who are looking for a man to marry dem so do single mothers too , I wish both of you best of luck

You dont have any shame, thats why you cant understand my comment

At least if its your girlfriend who came to complain "My fiance refuses to do court wedding" we could have advised her to be patient.

This one youre writing you dont have any reason is the highest level of nonsense. I mean, what kind of directionless fellow are you anyway? Who conducts their marriage without any reason

Not even that you dont have the money or that it takes too long.. something at least! Smh dont annoy me please

madam go sit down na by force, is she the one that want to marry me? she just has an agenda so taking her to court would prove I love her and not break up with her? I definitely got so suspicious cuz she has been clamoring on it wtf , I choose how I want to go about my wedding with any woman...

I can't even make sense of the post...you said you have no particular reason for refraining from the court marriage yet you still refused to do it...I'm happy she left you because you are clearly not even serious. If you had given any excuse at all, the post for make sense

You don't want somebody telling you how to marry her...so she should just sit and let you play with her like a toy when you've already told everybody on planet Nairaland that you have no reason not to marry her in court

The only part where I understand you is that she started off saying that she just wants a small introduction and later on began to add jara...but at the same time I can't get over that you wrote without shame that you have no reason not to marry her legally smh abeg make we hear word...time wasters everywhere mtchew

Go outside Lagos and get it if it's important.

I paid 35k in Osun state January second. I was told to come pick it up next day but I travelled back to Lagos.

I picked it up on 9th of January when I travelled back and it was boldly written there that it was issued on 3rd of January. So it was definitely ready next day.

The truth is that there are papers If you are ready to rub palms and pay extra. That's just the bitter truth.

My cousin was to travel last month, the trip was emergency and needed to renew passport at ikeja.

Guess what, he got it within 3 working days because he paid 55,000naira as against the regular 30k.

Did capture on Tuesday, got the passport on Friday of the same week.

We were there together at the collection center and I saw people lamenting for waiting over 2 months.

That's just the sad situation of this country

Hello everyone,

I was at the Ikeja immigration office sometime in December for my passport and I paid 33,000 for the old one which was supposed to be ready in 4 working days but up until now, the passport has not been issued.

I filled all the necessary forms and made payments with Capturing made by an immigration officer, I don’t want to believe I’ve been scammed. However, the story has remained the same. Old booklets are not available and new machines have been installed bla bla bla.. hence the delay. Is anyone else experiencing theirs same problem and is there any necessary authorizes to report this to so prompt action can be expidited.

Regards.

I'm in same situation I paid 41k , did my capturing since November 28 and the stupid man keep telling him no booklet have already told him to refund my money as im no more interested im sick of this country

NYSC / Re: Rivers State Begins Payment Of N15,000 To Corpers by carpdiemz: 9:21pm On Nov 22, 2019
Nnadigoodluck:

Rivers State government have started paying Corps Members posted to the state N15,000, Nyscinfo.com correspondent, Comrade Nnadi Goodluck reports.

The Corps Member serving in the Public sector of the state are paid N15,000, whilst those serving in the private are paid N10,000.

With this update, Rivers State has overtaken Anambra State as the highest paying state for Corps Members.

Recall that last week, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, announced that he has released the sum of N132million for the payment of Corps Members allowances.

He made the announcement while speaking during a Courtesy Visit by the Governing Council of the National Youth Service Council (NYSC) at the Government House Port Harcourt on Friday, 15th November 2019.

Below were his words.

“We have released N132 million for the payment of the allowance for corps members serving in the state”, he said.

He further informed that funds have been released for the construction of drainage, completion of the 5000 capacity auditorium, 3000 mattresses and 1500 double-bunk beds for the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp at Nonwa.

He said: “The corps members are serving the interest of the state. We are only investing to enhance their performance.

“We have released funds for the construction of internal roads, drainage, 1500 double-bunk beds and 3000 mattresses at the Permanent Orientation Camp.”

He assured that the 5000-seater auditorium at the Permanent Orientation Camp will be delivered to the NYSC Governing Council in May 2020.

He urged the NYSC management to work out the issue of security at the NYSC Orientation Camp with the Nigerian Army and other security agencies.

“Rivers State Government will give all the required support to ensure the NYSC carries out their responsibilities to the people of Rivers State”, he said.

Acting Chairman of the Governing Council of NYSC, Mrs Binta Muazu appreciated Governor Wike for his investments in the NYSC.

“We were at the Permanent Orientation Camp and we saw the construction of a massive 5000 capacity amphitheatre. We want to be part of the Commissioning of that facility.

“You are constant in the payment of monthly subvention to the NYSC and we are happy with the promise to release the allowances of Corps members”, she said.

She said the generosity of Governor Wike to the NYSC is outstanding.

Romance / Re: She Keeps Insisting On Having Sex Without Protection by carpdiemz: 10:27pm On Nov 20, 2019
Benclever1:
Hello everyone.

So I met this girl through a mutual friend and we started bonding. Initially, I didn't take the friendship seriously because this lady is a little older than me and I do not see any future between us.

Now, things got more intense between us. She visited me one time, one thing leading to another, we were in bed, about to have sex and then I pulled out the condom but she refused, insisting that she doesn't enjoy sex with condom. I was very surprised to hear that, so I tried to make her see reasons why the condom is very necessary. She adamantly refused. We ended up not having the sex that day.

Just last week she visited again and we spent the night together. We tried to have sex again but the same issue came up again. She insisted I must not used condom. Now this got me upset. During the conversation that ensued, she made it very clear to me that she does not have any STD/STI so I should not be afraid. She however admitted that she was ovulating and that the chances of getting her pregnant was high, but that I should not worry that she'd take care of herself and the pregnancy, if it happens. She said that she would not force me to get involved with the baby if I don't want. However, she made very clear that she's not ready to get married. This got me confused.

I don't want to let my guards down by indulging in unprotected sex with someone I don't trust. I also do not want to hurt her feelings. So I plan to take her for medical tests next week and then we can kick it off from there.

What's your advise for me.

Thank you.

abeg pass d woman to me i need a baby mama na too just go do medical test for her first case closed grin
