Business / Trump Banning Bitcoin Is Feasible Says Economist by casdoruche: 9:34pm On Jul 16, 2019 |
United States president Donald Trump would cause a Bitcoin (BTC) price crash if he banned it, but the law would likely prevent him, economist and trader Alex Krueger concluded on Twitter July 15. Trump, who announced his distaste for cryptocurrency in general last week, initially failed to impact market sentiment. A subsequent breakdown over the weekend sent Bitcoin below $10,000. Publishing a dedicated thread on the chances of Trump banning the cryptocurrency, Krueger argued he could theoretically have some success. By targeting entry and exit points for retail and institutional investors, the president would turn Bitcoin into an isolated, more illiquid asset as it is used by lay consumers. “Trump could also go after fiat onramps, by simply forbidding banks to service crypto exchanges, or by requiring banks to not service exchanges unless conditions XYZ are fulfilled (and make that practically impossible),” Krueger summarized. In reality, however, Trump would need to convince Congress of the need to ban Bitcoin, and lawmakers could overturn his demands, even if they occurred via an executive order or similar emergency measures. A ban is thus feasible but the probability of it becoming law is extremely low, Krueger concluded. His comments came several days after mainstream media suggested Trump had inadvertently made Bitcoin a campaign issue for the upcoming 2020 presidential elections. As Forbes noted, competing hopefuls, notably Andrew Yang, have long held an opposing view — that Bitcoin is in fact something to be embraced at national policy level. https://www.google.com/amp/s/cointelegraph.com/news/trump-banning-bitcoin-is-feasible-but-highly-unlikely-says-economist/amp

Punch newspaper is the most bias newspaper. They proved this in 2015 elections. Supporting Buhari. So am not surprised. It's so sad that the fourth estate of the realm (press) is not neutral anymore and the ones who are neutral are indicted or attacked by the government forces. As for me and my family the hardship is too much. Those ones shouting sai baba are poor but feel that the rich are also affected. Let me shock u. The rich are only affected but their bank is still fat. Those shouting sai baba have parents who stand daily under sun and feel the impact. The worst and painful thing some people get paid while others who don't get paid think the paid ones love sai baba. Lets have sense. Vote sowore if you hate atiku not buhari I beg. Yahoo boys, betting, prostitution, rituals have become common. If you think not wearing pant would save u, u are deceiving yourself. In ijebu this guy's would ask you to wear a pant they brought for 10 minutes. So at the end they get what they want. Things have fallen apart. To think people are zombies. Is it fear of being told that you made a wrong decision or just zombiesm 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Believe it at your own peril. Why won't covenant uni have more. First the population of the students is like the population in some federal uni faculty. Secondly, the rich kids attend such uni which implies automatic job because if their parents don't own very good businesses they would have high ranking positions in federal and state and private companies or parastatals. Furthermore, more 50 percent of a uni with 35,000 annual students population and over 2000 students graduating should never be compared with a less that 2000 annual population of a uni like covenant or other private uni. The federal uni students compete aggressively for job so what do you expect. Aside, many graduates now own businesses of theirs. Am a proud OAU alumni. Amanda awetu. We have fulani herdsman and Buhari used a joint task force of useful forces to fight civilian. What is the problem with people protesting peacefully. The freedom of biafra would not come by force rather it would come by force of a natural disaster in the northern region. People without arms are meeting to discuss without causing disruptions of the affairs of the state. The meeting is a a time to discuss things beyond secession. Things like unity of igbo in the north Fighting for their right And also regards things beyond the scope of the this man called buhari People do not only secede by war but by war caused by force of nature Eg Natural disaster 21 Likes |
Sports / Neymar Is Already Looking For A Way Out Of PSG by casdoruche: 7:24pm On May 13, 2018 |
Neymar is already looking for way out of PSG he plan designed by Neymar, his father and Real Madrid to bring the player to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu ahead of the start of next season is entering a decisive stage and Paris Saint-Germain have now become aware of the Brazilian's desire to leave the French capital. As they have feared for months, Neymar does not want to continue at PSG, even if he has a contract until 2022. He has asked to sit down and to negotiate his exit, with his father having communicated this to club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi a few days ago. Already the 26-year-old realises that it was a mistake to move to Ligue 1 and he hasn't adapted to the dressing room, where he doesn't have a good relationship with the Argentine nucleus or with Edinson Cavani. During the Ballon d'Or gala held in Paris on December 7, 2017, he made it clear to the Real Madrid directors that he'd be willing to force and exit and to sign for the Spanish club. At that point he became Real Madrid's primary objective, even to the point where their entire transfer strategy depends on this deal. The key to his future, though, lies in the hands of Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar and the man at the very top of the PSG hierarchy. Those close to PSG believe the main obstacle to an exit is the Amir's pride, rather than money. PSG captured the world's attention last summer by signing Neymar and Kylian Mbappe and it would appear weak to let their main superstar leave after just one year. Of course, money would be a factor too and Real Madrid know that if the transfer is given the green light that it would cost anything from 260 million euros to 300m euros, or maybe more. On top of that would be the player's salary, which would be an especially sensitive subject given that Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to negotiate his own salary increase at the end of the season, plus a signing bonus which could be around 40m euros. Despite these eye-watering sums and the fact that the player could get out of his contract for 222m euros in the summer of 2019, the team from the Spanish capital believe it is better to move for the Brazilian now, given that the player has made moves to leave and given that they don't want to miss this opportunity. They've already missed out on signing him before, and don't want to see him playing elsewhere for much longer. http://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2018/05/10/5af42200e2704e712c8b45d5.html |

This not about medical students or government. This is about Nigeria medical association. NMA is an association that commands respect than any association in Nigeria and the nysc fee structure was influenced by them. It's nobody s fault that engineering association has no power. I have never heard of engineers go on strike before because majority of them are private companies compare to doctors who form part of the integrative framework of Healthcare system and policy, a very fundamental part of any nation To the op you need to see down and rethink and analyze before you spill trash. This is just one of it. I mean one of the problems. Population as means of allocation was a northern oriented agenda. Who doesn't know that they have more population. If we change our fiscal policy things would change. How can we give no reward for hardwork. For me it's a northern agenda 1 Like |
