my dictionary must either be too current or outdated if that is the meaning of change.

Happy new year!
that's what is described as power of language or word. That ur parent name you 'victory' does not mean u are always victorious. If they call u 'promise' should not mean u keep promise or you are promising. Again , if u are called 'blessing', it does not mean you are a blessing to all. If you are a creative with the use of language, you don't restrict yourself to the dictionary meaning of all words , but a wider range of application to give a wider meaning.

Kings Oluwanifemi pearce

let me guess... you know nothing about the north and their culture, i lived in the north for 7years with my dad who is a yoruba man (christian) but married a hausa woman my mum (last daughter of a sheik in maiduguri, now dead) before we relocated back to lagos where i have been living since then. there are a billion things wrong with this video (keep an open mind here):

i understand hausa (the original one that the now diluted one was coined from) quite well lets say 80% well.; in the video Buhari's voice is too distorted to understand exactly what he is saying but some words come out clear enough to be heard. he is charging the people to fight for they right, to make their vote count, to monitor the excersise that it is time to rewrite their lives... noting comes out about "killing and body" as written on the screen....

plus in the true handling of a spear as the poster is trying to imply its absurd because a northerner will never handle a spear like that, its just plain wrong: its either with the full palm or with the thumb, index finger and middle finger to the spear and the rest of the fingers supporting the spear underneath (this is to lunch the spear on in attack) obviously that is an ink pen again because spears are not shaped that way... a spear has a uniform body after the head (it uses a metal base, a slightly bigger base or a wet button to balance out the weight of the head. the "spear" in the hands of Buhari is not convincing at all... infact look up the picture of an ink pen online and a spear you'll see what i mean.

the fact remains this man has a lot of enemies among those in power and friends among the masses doesn't that tell you some thing. he has shown what he can do to corrupt people in government, you all are like toy soldiers they use in protecting their selfish interests. go and research on the economy of nigeria during his rule, corruption in nigeria during his rule and be fair with your self and generations of nigerians to come. GOD BLESS NIGERIA

ow! and that reminds me the pen is the symbol of CPC the party he was under... u can as well say the broom is a weapon lol how silly of u guy
I couldnt have said it better. They have all these proves, yet they begged gmb to allow the case to be settled out of court when (gmb) sue Abati for Libel.

This is one of those actions they call diplomatic somersault. For this singular act, Jonathan has sealed his fate with every Muslim and fair minded person in Nigeria who is interested in Israeli and Palestine problem. For me, this is on par with his allowing OBJ and his Yoruba kings men to succeed in yanking Bakkasi out of Nigeria. Jonathan's re-election is gone. How on earth did this man know that Nigeria is 50% Muslim and this issue is very close to the heart of Muslim all over the world. Jonathan is really incompetent. He has to bring Israelis to vote for him I guess. Evil Netenyahu, killer of babies even mentioned his name as the saver of Israel today. I'm Ibo, but I will surely vote against this fool if I have the opportunity.
I have found reason to hate this gov't even more. If palestine is given statehood today, it will douse the tension always brewing in that region between isreal and the arabs. This people can live together in peace, but isreal wont do what could usher in that peace.
Even if gej converts to islam today and, maybe he's my father, I wont forgive him for this nonsense. He can't win in the north.

Good move.

Nigeria did very well in abstaining.

The Palestinian should return to the negotiations table.

The request of returning to pre 1967 border and E. Jerusalem as their capital requires mutual agreement & understanding, a unilateral approach of UN is not the solution.

Shalom!
u are a bastard! U ar a dog for thinking like this. I hate people like u; u want freedom and, u dont want it for others. If france could vote in favor, do u think nigeria is more pro-US than them? I lost every respect i have for u with this post; u are one of the few ppl in pdp crew i respect. Are you this heartless? I'm really angry at u. This is going to be the new campaign point against ur paymaster in the north; just watch how we turn this around.

they pray for all our roads to collapse, our trains to derail so that they can have campaign points, why they cant wish us good is the reason APC governors have not been able to complete their rail projects
this administration has failed nigerians.

The automotive policies and huge improvements in Agriculture isn't diversifying the economy?

Your siblings and friends are busy finding faults and being true to their words about making the country ungovernable for him, instead of telling us how they would solve our economic problems.

They have hit a spot with the majority clueless, dumb Nigerians of tackling corruption and thereby solving all our problems. A presidential aspirant saying he would stabilize our currency and economy by regulating world oil price. Such a shame.

His VP too saying they would create 20,000 jobs in every state with the help of the state governments, Is it magic? Tell us how you hope to do such, without creating more useless agencies with money that should go into infrastructural development and improving the economy

In the last 4years, Rotimi Amaechi is the single most corrupt politician in this country - he even brags about doling money to people, and APC wants to fight corruption.
the first line in bold, don't you think people don't into such lame excuse anymore? It is not selling!
And the 2nd in bold: how many of the non-productive agencies has ur paymaster shut down?
Amaechi is corrupt, yet he has something on ground to show for his days of governance in rivers state. What can u tell me was the achievement of gej as governor of bayelsa state or , his achievement as president?

No! not 6yrears, but almost 5years. President Yaradua passed on (may his soul RIP) in 2010. Jonathan was denied acting President position due to needless power struggles. By the time he got the acting President it was around May 2010. However, shortly preparation for 2011 elections started, It was 2011 that he contested and won.
That's about 4 years plus.... REMEMBER THE FIFTH YEAR IS STILL RUNNING.
even the most staunch of his supporters couldnt have given us this excuse like u did up there in ur post. How many did yaradua spend on the sickbed? Gej spent the 2year+ of yaradua's presidency, add that to his over 3 years in office, what do u get?
If his supporters are asking for buhari's achievemens infrastructurally in his 20 months as head of state, then I don't sef any reason why 6 year is enough for gej to put anything tangible on ground.
Politics › Re: Are There Muslims Who Will Vote For GEJ? by Caseless:
Muslims did vote him in 2011. They'd still vote him this time around- but not on a massive scale. Who do you expect namadi sambo's family to vote for? The few roaches benefiting from his gov't will definately vote for him.
Also, christains voted buhari in 2011(due to the religious card played by pdp then, not many voted him then) and they are going to vote him again- but, expect it to be on a massive scale this time around.
The fight is now about rescuing Nigeria; as the challenges(insecurity, poverty) facing Nigerians knows no religion(islam or christianity) and it is not about religion.
Politics › Re: Why I Attended Olamide’s Concert – Osinbajo by Caseless: 10:58am On Dec 31, 2014
barcanista:
Prof Osinbajo was recruited to the APC Presidential team to appeal to Christian voters (his primary constituency), I don't think going to Olamide show is productive, rather it is counter productive among the christian folks. Fact is most Nigerians are appealed to by religion, though hypocritical, we want our religious leaders to be "perfect". A pastor attending shows of olamide and tweeting it is sending wrong signal to his followers and the same messages he preaches against, this inturn make people (christians) doubt his credibility, which may affect the electoral fortune of APC from a section of Christian community. Celebs in Nigeria have no electoral value, meetiing them in a non "offensive" place is more appropriate. In politics, you seek to win more support while maintaining your stronghold and not the other way round. Religion may not be ideal when choosing candidates but the sad reality is that it is the mainstay in Nigeria political scene and APC key into it when it selected a pastor as Buhari's VP to balance Muslim/Christian ticket. I think APC must play to the game if it wants to win 2015. I stand for Muhammadu Buhari and APC come 2015

I hope APC reconsider their strategy!
the same xtians would prefer the worst xtiain(if any) than the best muslim(fashola). You cant please everybody- this is politics! Osinbajo is the VP-in-waiting and he must identify with all and sundry- be it good, bad or the ugly.
Nigeria is not a christain republic and, anyone aspiring for the number 2 post of the land must be seen to be free of all religious fascia he's known for and embrace the politics of Nigeria.
Nice one by the people's prof!

Osinbajo is the VP-in-waiting of the good, the bad and the ugly in Nigeria- he must identify with all.

What manner of change? Sorry, I'm not yet convinced.
considering our numerous challenges, which have not been solved by gej in 6 years; I think buhari is the 'eleojo' to Nigeria right now. He understands our problems and to solve them, you have to be 'incorruptible' and honest- these ofcourse, are the principal attributes of the people's general.

Most people think that Buhari is trying to come back as a military head of state. Well, the military era is gone and IF he should by any chance win, he is coming as a democratic president.

So don't expect a general who will come and dictate and 'flog' people as he likes, expect a president whose decisions are subject to the approval of the national assembly.
somebody is now back to buhari's camp, i guess.
