There is this action movie i'm looking for.
I think it was shot in Liverpool, the movie is shooting all through, and the normal action stuff.
what makes it stand out is the use of vulgar and swear words. Like before anyone says something, they must mention
f#ck, b#llsh!t,
etc.
it is somehow filled with comedy scenes, though it is majorly an action movie |

SymonLFC: It has something to do with summer solstice, Longer day and shorter night you could read it up on google. We also have the winter solstice were we have shorter day and longer night, put differently, it get visibly dark at 3pm or worse 2pm in some part europe. People like me wey sabi fear for night, na summer solstice wey dey soft pass.... wonders. Just wonders |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Why Is It Day Time In London But Night In Nigeria? by Casemiro(op): 8:22am On Jun 27, 2020 |
henrybomb: It is actually a longer day over there which means there is almost 20 hrs daylight and becomes visibly dark by 10 or 11pm. Most times during summer that is what happens and during winter the daylight reduces this is very surprising sha.. never knew longer day lights up to 10pm is possible |

So I was watching Chelsea VS Mancity play yesterday, and I noticed that.
I noticed that it was still day time, the sun was still shinning in London but it was already night in Nigeria.
Like how did it happen? Nigeria and London share the same time zone, and 8 pm in Nigeria is still 8 pm in London.
What could possibly be the reason? Is 8pm no longer night time in London? |

Chiebunigom1: Honestly Op, I had been thinking of this lately. Opening of schools in this rainy season may not be fair to children and vulnerable adults in this COVID-19 era, especially without a standard cure or vaccine to this virus.
Oga Lalasticlala please your attention is needed.
By the way, I am in the education sector. I know how the closure of schools is affecting me, but I think, he who has life and good health, gets a chance to learn. My dear sacrificing a term, semester or even a whole calendar year is not too much to offer for our health. We know it isn't easy, but remembering that young Pakistani doctor who lost his life to the virus, thinking about the streets of Italy littered with humans who can't breath again, thinking about the affected patients in the Spanish hospitals struggling so hard to breath, thinking about the corona related news from around the world breaks my heart. It is even now within us. Every day we see the figures soaring high and people losing their lives to the virus. Please let's take a step back and reflect. Let's do the necessary things to defeat this virus |
Health › Now That The Immune System Of Our Weather Is Weak by Casemiro(op): 5:47pm On Jun 18, 2020 |
If you recall back in February, March, many had high hopes that our weather will defeat corona virus because the temperature was really hot then, and perhaps that's one of the reasons for the slow spread of the virus.
However, we are in June! And June/July is probably the most coldest months in the rainy season. Temperature has dropped and the atmosphere is very cold, even at 2pm!
This calls for special concern. Like they said, corona virus thrives at low temperature, and now that the immune system of our weather is weak, let's remind ourselves of the dangers of this virus and take strick measures in order to keep ourselves safe!
Remember Lombardy, Italy.
Remember Spain.
Remember the United States.
Remember U.K, Remember the videos circulating around the internet then. We can defeat this virus, let's stay safe please!
The cases are increasing day by day, and our weather is weak.
Please stay safe!
Do all you can to boost your immune system because our weather ain't friendly any longer. |

Penuelseun: You guys will be the ones asking for inverters that can carry refrigerators and acs, if you want to enjoy inverter, close eye spend money I understand that the more things you are to power, the more money you spend. But why spend much when you'll be needing the solar panel system just to charge your phone, nothing else? |
Technology Market › Re: Solar Power For An Average Middle Class Household by Casemiro(m): 7:48pm On Jun 09, 2020 |
Mordecai:

Sure. Think of it like clothing. You can buy some for 500. Some cost 5k. Some cost 500k.
Total even sells some solar devices for 12k.
It all depends on what you want.
Still laughing it's funny sha. Many people have been discouraged to use solar system because of the outrageous prices. when you ask for a quote, you'll be hearing 300k+! Please can you give a breakdown of the cheapest Solar panel set up for charging just phones and possibly laptop, possibly connecting just one extension to it |
Technology Market › Re: Solar Power For An Average Middle Class Household by Casemiro(m): 8:00am On Jun 09, 2020 |
Mordecai: Your questions are welcome. It's fine.
Solar power has many uses. I have seen someone set up a solar system just for his POS terminal and laptop in his shop. From what he told me, it cost him less than 20k.
The cost of your system is determined by the expected use.
The five components I listed is about everything you need for it. So, you can make adjustments to the capacities of each of them as necessary to fit what you need it for.
As I have suggested, don't look for complete packages, especially if you are on a budget. Consider the costs, component by component.
Soon, I'll explain how to make the necessary calculations in getting your components. Thanks for your time. so 20k can help set up solar |
Science/Technology › Re: Thread For Solar System/Electricity Owners in Nigeria. by Casemiro(m): 7:59am On Jun 09, 2020 |
ceaser: You want to use solar to charge it, right? Since the AC charger than you bought with it broke and you intend to go with solar charging, you'll require solar panels to achieve that. But you can't plug your panel into the battery terminals just like that, you'll need a solar charge controller (hereafter referred to as SCC) in between the panel and the battery.
Now majority of SCC are designed to follow some charging pattern that is meant for lead acid batteries. Charging patterrn of lead acid chemistry is quite different from that of lithium. The maximum voltage values for charging the batteries too are different. So if you need to do that of lithium, you will be better off getting an SCC that allows you to edit/programme/change values to the parameters that is perfect for lithium, 14.4v maximum charging voltage in this case.
That lithium battery in the picture has four terminals - the two input terminals and the two output terminals. The SCC goes into the input terminals and the output terminals is for your appliances. Thanks for your explanation. Though I must confess it's still a bit technical for my understanding |

Technology Market › Re: Solar Power For An Average Middle Class Household by Casemiro(m): 9:47pm On Jun 07, 2020 |
Mordecai: I use monocrystalline panels. They are actually more efficient than polycrystalline panels. Though they cost more. I really have not looked into solar panel manufacturers, maybe because solar panels have a long lifespan, as much as 25 years.
I really can't check mine, cos I'll have to climb the roof
But below is a picture of the solar controller I use where I am at the moment, somewhere up north. I use it with a 1200VA mercury inverter, a 100AH battery, and two solar panels, each 18V 100W. thanks for your elaborate clarification. Just wanted to understand better how this works before venturing into it. Please sorry for my questions. What could be the cheapest package one can get on a solar system? is it possible to get a very small panel to connect just to PC, and maybe an extension? |
