The Mistake is with the title of the thread!

The fact is, "the Benin walls and Moats is Considered to be the largest Man Made structure- lenghtwise: second only to the Great Wall of China?
Now do u still have any problem with that? Mark the words "Largest Man Made" thats the point of all the wahala here.. Good Nite!

kokosheen: @PhysicsQED, your username sounds smart, so I expect you to be. How come all these wonders were NEVER recorded by us blacks but through all those "by a European visitor" sightings.
you should know by now that the unit of measure in those "ol-days" are much smaller than what we use today. U're repping physics, 300 cubits used for Noah's ark is how many meters now and THAT vessel is supposed to be massive to hold 2 of every animal existing. Goes to show how everything is relative to its time. Yes, the benin wall might have been massive to the people that constructed it, but compared to the wall of China, the tin na rabbit fence na.

Also, the wall was made of clay & sticks abi? that tells so much about the type of embankment and enemies they were fighting against. That wall type is so dark ages that the British invaders would have been like LOL.

@cashmentor, what can I say, hmmmmmm, please have you ever ever ever seen the book "art of war" before I don't think so and please stop quoting what you don't know. By the way, the author is Sun Tzu. Machiavelli wrote "The Prince", nice book, go and read it.

@Kobojunkie, I tire ooooo. grin

ok, come teach Strategy? Over sabi!
Sun Tzu wrote "Art of War" 500 B.C.
Thucydides- "The Peloponnesian War" 460-404 B.C.
Machiaveli: 1469-1527 - "Art Of War" (which was more modern, due to it's rationality and Realism". Considered one of the Best Book on Millitary & warfare!
his other book was The Prince"

ok, now go and read it, good book on leadership and power! Over sabi...

Wait now . . . later we go read say Africans built statues taller in height than the famous status of king Nebuchadnezzar, in villages across the continent, but the horrible, jealous white man did not like having large images of black-men stare back down at them, and so destroyed them all with dynamite. grin
the Benin walls were made of earth dug off the ground to make a trap-like hole as a defensive mechanism (what Machiaveli refered to as Fortification in "The Art of War"wink.... i saw 9 gates here, buh, it's actualy 10 Gates, now each gate had an earth wall that enemies struggled to climb, only to drop down into a large hole at the other side....i wonder how the British invaded though..
You know what i see here, creativiy and war Strategic thinking....Africa were never as Dull and backward as the Whites make us to Believe, We were just rubbed of our history and innovations and Creativity!

You no dey read wetin I dey talk? The "crooks" here are the Nigerian people -- they are the ones who continue to close their eyes to what is going on. Those in Government are simply taking advantage, and rightly so, if the situation that the people create.

If you had a business and you allowed your employees to steal your goods and money, do you blame them for the problem? No, the fault is on you for not checking the situation. A new employee in that scene will after a few days or weeks join the others in stealing since it seems to be ALLOWED. That is what is happening here. The Bossess(the Nigerian people) allow this and that is why it continues. Only when the people decide enough is enough will things change and incompetent 'leaders' be kicked to the curb.
the only chance we got was the subsidy protest, and we allowed it slip-by.... Next chance comes in 2015....when Nigeria would have been completely drained empty by these thieves!

So, when it comes to your business investment, you believe "All or Nothing" should be the motto, but when it comes to decisions that determine your future, and the future of your loved ones, "Half bread is better than none"?
Again, this African mentality remains key reason why Africa, even with all the wealth it has, remains behind in most all indices.
what is you point now again Mrs. Kobo, you like talk Oo, or you be Lawyer? I voted Gej which i've since regreted, and if it comes to getting advice or picking a leader again, i'll stick with Gej rather than Atiku!

How far has all the prayers you have offered up gotten you and Nigeria? Over 1 Trillion dollars stolen by less than 0.1% of the populace while poverty rate continues to rise each and every year. Worse violence and terrorism has over time come to be considered the norm in the Nation, and those in power continue to invoke the name of God rather than show the substance of all they claim to have been working on.

Enough of the prayers. What is needed, and has been in short supply, is action on the part of the people. Even the Bible says Prayer with no work is DEAD, USELESS!
you couldn't have said it any better! I admire your passion for Your Country, even though you could have easily shun events down here.... Now, just take a flight home and show these crooks some Jackie Chan moves!

It is time you folks grow a brain. If you do not have proof of this,it is best you learn do away with the puerile attempts at attacks, and focus your energy instead on finding those to really blame for the situation.

@Poster, last thing Nigeria needs, in my opinion, is more prayer. We have a populace that will rather close their eyes while the 0.01% continue to rob them blind. Nigerians need to open their eyes, not close it in prayer, and fight for a better future for themselves, and their children.
prayer is waaaay not the solution for now, though important, buh me think we need men and women who can stand up, cause an uprising and demand for equality and justice.... Pray, yes! Buh, let's do our part by standing up and saying no to crooks selling and stealing our future! Buh nobody want's to stand up, even i....and that's where the problem realy is- suffering and pinging Nigerians, when will thou wake up from thy slumbber?

edicolove: Sincerely, let's be truthful. The north is maginalized. You all know they are born to rule. They are supposed to be president forever so since there is a southern president and they are only common vice president, senate president, house of reps speaker, NSA, IG of police, CJN, it isn't fair. They should be president as well. They should also head customs, army, navy, airforce and nnpc. Anything short of that is pure maginalization. The country must be fair to them.

Yes, the same God said so but at the same time there are The Overcomers, there are The Dominions etc, so if you say the devil (and his angels of demons) are the ruler of this world, then they rule you and your like-minded. There are others that dictates for the devil and his demons, they rule demons, any time and any day and this is where I belong. No devil rules me.
i hear you Ooo, Pastor Oyedipo! Rightly said though, but come bros, where did i mention demons ruling you? I be your Landlord?

eyenCalabar: A thing is actually what you say it is. If you say 3:00am is an evil hour, so be it for you! We are different humans and we have a different set of beliefs and mentality. God created everything and see that it was good, why then should one say this one is evil or the other is? Just that humans have a way of destroying themselves. So, who cares, you can believe anything you want to.
did the same God not tell you that the Devil (and his Angels of Demons) are the Ruler of this World?

saxywale: 3am has a special meaning to some Christians and the in the United States of America. 3pm is largely recognised as the time of Jesus Christ’s death, 3am is therefore sometimes given as its opposite and is thought to be the time when spirits become restless and paranormal activity is at its peak.

Spirituallist believe that 3am
mocks Jesus death, because he died at 3pm,
and the evil celebrates it by casting out more
evil at 3am. Who knows?

At University during my undergraduate studies, there were cases of many students waking up between 3-3.15am. Some adults even reported that they have been waking up after 3am just after a nightmare for the past 15years. Some believe God deliberatly wakes that person up to pray. Some believe the person is being tormented by demons. Some believe its because sleep is deepest just before 3am.

Now the question is does anyone wake up at 3am after a nightmare and how did you go about finding solution to the phenomenon? Did a pastor pray for you or you just assumed its one of those things in life?
some of your questions are rather childish though!

freecocoa: Most times i'm yet to go to bed by that time sef, either studying or watching movies

But there's something i've noticed, sometimes when i sleep early and have nightmares or just woken up by one thing or the other, its usually around that time,i don't attach any meaning to it though, who knows it may really mean something cheesy.
