eph12:Yeah, just the training. |

unclezuma:Im telling you, imagine announcing this as an achievement. Ordinary searching on google.com will get you several pmp courses online and locally and they are lying that people travel abroad for such. |
We have dozens of PMI REP centres scattered accross lagos, abuja and port harcourt so I dont understand how this is an achievement. Nobody travels abroad for pmi courses, thats a lie for sure. As a matter of fact, those abroad rely more on video podcasts that classroom tutoring. The real achivement would have been getting pmi or prometrics cbt centre accreditation. For non-project managers on this thread, dont get excited thinking its an achievement. pmi training cost about 60 to 80k and its readily available locally and online. I repeat, no one, absolute no one ever considers going abroad for such!! Na wa for Nigerian institutions |
Everyone is commenting on the phone where as we all need to look at the bigger picture. In other words, the picture quality is dope!! |
Something doesn't add up. The lawyer claimed KC was desperate to sign Harrysong leading to Harrysong joining them. My question is, why did Harrysong leave Question Mark for Five Star music knowing fully well that he still had an existing contract with Question Mark? This action would actually point to Harrysong being desperate and not the other way round. Now the same cycle is repeating itself, Harrysong is leaving Five Star without completing his contract!! He has a history of dishonouring contracts. Harrysong's actions are consistently dubios. The lawyer is also resorting to personal attack on Five Star music's lawyer instead of refuting each of the lawyer's claims objectively. From my personal experience, when one lacks objective means to engage in an argument, one resorts to personal abuse. I support Five Star on this case. Harrysong also needs to hire a professional lawyer. |
prestigiouslady:Make it work a last time, I am assuming he is also catholic so I advise you leverage on something you share in common. 1. Visit your husband alongside a priest, family members from his side and your side likewise so they all serve as witness. Declare your intention to make it work then issue him an ultimatum to confirm if he is still interested. Your family and his should agree on how long he is to respond. Push for a month max. Make sure your intention to make it work is genuine, prepare to be loyal to him so your conscience will be clear. 2. If he his no longer interested or fails to respond accordingly, inform the priest, his family and your family that your decision to proceed with divorce is justified and divorce him. Be stubborn about this decision and never look back cos you genuinely created an opportunity to make it work. 3. If he agrees to make it work, you both should get back together, request he promises never to abuse you, you promise never to disrespect him and communicate these promises to the priest, yours and his family members present in the aforementioned meeting. You both must agree to undertake marriage counselling for at least 3 months. You must test yourselves for disease also before intercourse. A priest should also be permitted to counsel and advise you both occasionally for 3 months max. 4. If you are both amiable after 3months, then I wish you a happy marriage. 5. If you are unable to co-exist happily after 3 months then divorce. Move on without looking back. Note: If he is not Catholic, exclude the priest's role so there is no bias on your side. No pastor also so no bias from his side. Do the above with just family members and marriage counsellor. The role of family members from both side is absolute! Ensure so. Finally, do some investigations, if he has impregnated another lady, forget the epistle I wrote and move on!! He has broken the vow and no longer deserves you. I wish you goodluck. |
They better look after themselves. Their actions can be detrimental to their future. They don't know anything about surviving in Nigeria if they think their actions will achieve lasting accomplishments. Majority of the posters are hailing them. Hypocrites!! How many of you can do what they did, as such risking your future, career or family name. How many of you will commend your children if they do what the students did rather than quietly studying? This is Nigeria, the system is crappy, genuine people are scarce, majority of Nigerians are selfish. They better learn how to survive in a structure that is not ready to move forward. |
toptop:He has ACA (ICAN). OP, broaden your horizon. Go for finance, it's a no brainer. |
nmreports:I like your sincerity. |
You are absolutely correct. You would however agree with me that this can only happen in robust HR department right?. However, I am open to your comments. Like you said, you are a god in HR so what do I know than to learn from you. The discussion was made open for people like you. Thanks for your comment. Do you mind enlightening me how you reduce a million cvs to 50 in 4 hours?. Just curious. I can send you a pm if you feel my question is sardonic.

Modestgal already answered your question. Shorten the application duration!! Where you have a vacancy for just one or a few position, you can limit the application period to maximum of a week. Also, consider using an appplication portal, it would add objectivity and efficiency to your process. Importantly, be solution-oriented! Don't always hide behind the excuse of excess applications. Fact is Nigeria is plagued with unemployment and under-employment so always factor in receipt of excessive and unsuitable applications prior to posting a vacancy. Your process is obsolete and subjectivity, you need to move forward. Ever heard of the word Process improvement? Your job currently needs it. |
The default referee is the H.O.D. However, the mail states that a referee should it. This means that a signature from an H.O.D or any other referee will both be accepted. |
Mannylex:When is the test date? |
Thanks for the response, @PM2305. |
Eddyken:Just to add weight to his question, basically we need advice on steps one can/should take in pursuing a project management career, this of course shouldn't be limited to the construction industry. Thank you |
The Aso savings option looks more attractive considering that your position will be BO which is quite ahead of the ET level. |
Honestly, this Sterling bank assessment is one of the worst I ever heard of. I simply lost respect for the bank. Unless they merge or the bank gets acquired, I don't see myself banking with this shambolic institution. |
This is just embarrassing from Sterling bank. Totally ignoring the mass complaints of candidates who experienced network issues while attempting to take the test. Are Nigerians that dumb that 95% of test takers will fail this test. I wish I participated in this exercise and progressed to the interview stage. I'll simply attend the interview, tell it straight to the HR's face how insulting and demeaning their recruitment is and then walk out. Imagine thousands of graduates hoping endlessly for this job and after waiting for months to hear from Sterling bank, they simply made a fool out of them. I don't have a bank account with Sterling, but I've found a reason to never ever bank with organization with classless values. They should at least show courtesy and address the network issues thousands of candidates experienced or worst case scenario, inform those who experienced issues that they unfortunately can't proceed to the next stage. If a government institution had done this, no qualms, after all government recruitments are never transparent, but a bank that's supposed to be the pace setter in terms of integrity in this corruption riddled nation and blatantly calling calling unfortunate candidates as failures is very embarrassing. Rubbish bank! They could have quietly moved on with the recruitment, but putting out a bogus figure of failures is simply rubbing it into the unfortunate candidates faces. To those out there seeking employment, don't give up, u're not failures. |
If there is room for promotion as a full staff, then go for the full staff option. It will also afford you time to look for another job using your bsc certificate and job experience. |
What's odd is that while Abacha was stealing, the economy was actually growing. |
I personally do not like ties, I really dislike ties and i feel choked up when wearing a tie on some particular shirts of mine. Suits can really make me feel uncomfortable sometimes because we live in a hot country. Truth is everyone looks smart in a suit, don't understand why some interviewers consider suit dressing as a major criteria. |

You obviously need a new challenge as you are getting comfortable there. It's Probably best if you move to another company, Seems like you need a change of scenery, you need to see new faces as your colleague, have a new unfamiliar boss and start learning how to please the new boss, have new goals and responsibilities etc. You basically need a new challenge because you've become too comfortable at your present workplace. May I ask, what professional course at you taking? ICAN, CIPM etc. Your professional course should guide your career decision. |
Iamtosin:Alright,thanks. |
Iamtosin:@iamtosin, besides the congratulatory text, has interview been conducted for those tested on 8th November? |
sleemoon:Alright, Cos I know aptitude test was written last year. Hope they asked friendly questions and it's not a marketing role? |
sleemoon:Did you write their aptitude test last year? |
Just got this message now. 'Dear Candidate, you are invited for the next stage of our Entry Level Interview at Mansard Insurance plc Plot 1412 Ahmadu Bello Way V/I Lagos on Wednesday January 8, 2014 by 12pm'. Anyone else got this invite? Also does anyone know what kind of questions to expect at this interview stage? I'd hate to miss out after getting this far in the recruitment process. Please if you are invited, lets exchange some ideas, especially as we are nearing the tail-end of the recruitment process, thanks. Good luck and success to everyone invited. |
