livingstone2013: The future of this country is not looking good. Nigerian graduates are just too obsessed with their shi.t of paper called certificate. Nobody wants to start their business. Every graduate is looking for non existing white collar job. Infact , some illiterates are far better than Nigerian graduates. Cause they are daring and risk takers. Since yesterday that i created this thread, just a person has shown interest. Now i know why the unemployment rate keep increasing cause our graduates are not creative and uninspiring. They don't sit down and talk about business opportunities but know all the latest music, movies and celebrities in town.
I checked your profile and I noticed we have have so many things in common. I've sent you a pm and I await your response. Also, relax and be calm, you might not get the response you expected when creating this thread but don't take out on nairalanders ok. People generally tend to be extra convinced before they commit themselves into any project, so dont be disappointed about the slow response you're getting. Cheers.

livingstone2013: My interview is scheduled on friday at their onipanu branch office. is it necessary to go with my credentials on friday? It was stated to come with my cv only.
Please when did you write your test, was it on November 2nd? And please can you tell me the address and time of your interview. I passed the test but I'm still yet to hear from them.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Mansardmansard Insurance Pls by casiello(m): 5:52pm On Dec 11, 2013
I haven't gotten any interview message yet. I wrote and passed the test and was sent a success message on the 14th of November but since then, I haven't heard from them. Do any of you guys here have the HR's number so i can call. I don't want to be unfairly left behind after trying hard to pass the test and waiting for them to communicate me on the next stage.

Just add the numbers to your phone's blacklist whenever the network calls and you won't be bothered again.

TV/MoviesRe: Are Reality TV Shows/Competitions Of Any Benefit To Us? by casiello(m): 10:37am On Oct 16, 2013
Guilder ultimate search is okay because of the game like competition in it. But shows like Kardashian or BBA are rubbish! Why should I waste my time watching people live their life when I also have my life to live. It baffles me what people describe as entertaining watching your fellow human being living his or her own life.
PhonesRe: Globalcom Is Holding Me To Ransom!!! by casiello(m): 10:29am On Oct 16, 2013
OP, stop bothering yourself. Nothing in this world is perfect, not even technology. From your predicament, you simply have 3 options. Firstly, you can port to another network. Second option, you buy another sim card and register it. Thirdly, you can query glo customer care services and also forward your complaint to NCC. My advise is that you exercise one of the first 2 options and then move on to other meaningful things in your life that's worth your time.
PhonesRe: Globalcom Is Holding Me To Ransom!!! by casiello(m): 10:16am On Oct 16, 2013
Rooted Word: Dont waste your time with Glo. As far as I am concerned, the network has lost its flair. That was the way I battled with them till I ported to Airtel, now I am enjoying the best tariff of my life: Airtel 2Good Premier, 10k/sec to all networks after first minute of 40k/sec. Port ASAP

RomanceRe: How Did You React the first time You Met Your Blind Dates? by casiello(m): 6:08pm On Oct 15, 2013
robonski15: Met a nairalander last week.. I have been following her comments for sometime now because she is someone that has a good sense of humour.. I decided to drop a pm and we began talking then later exchanged bb pins..

We decided to meet on a particular day Though she reside in another state, just a couple of hours.. On that day she told me she was on her way, I doubted her at first but later I realised she was truly coming.. After some hours she finally landed at my place, she is the most prettiest girl I have ever met.. She had a good height, pretty face, plush skin infact she was totally gorgeous..

We went out to eat and came back and we began talking about so many things, and the way she analysed every topic made me wonder her level of reasoning considering her age, this made me liked her so much.. We chatted till mid night and slept off... The next morning she had to leave, I tried persuading her to stay one more night but alas she is a very principled young girl.. I escoreted her to the park and she left..

Since she left, every day and night I think about her and am already in love with her, I just hope we carry the relationship to the next level..
She left her place located in another state, traveled all the way to your place, spent the night with you and you guys ended up chatting till you both slept off!!! Oboy you are a good guy sha..
CareerRe: Career Choice: All You Need To Know by casiello(m): 12:43am On Sep 26, 2013
I am a graduate of economics and for several months i've been pondering which career path i choose because i want to be in a career or profession where there is growth in it so i can build myself from the bottom and patiently climb to the top. Well, i've decided to do a professional course so as to stand out in the labour market but the problem is that I'm average in mathematics. I've always been average in mathematics since my primary school days and i sometime detest maths. Now most professional course seems to be maths intensive and the last thing I want is to find myself studying a professional course where I struggle with the mathematical section of it. So OP, any advice on the career path I can choose? I'm actually a graduate of economics but the truth is i mostly found it uninteresting. I just studied it for the sake of getting a degree. Right now, i just want to take my time and study a professional course I'd be good at and actually enjoy studying. I want a course that has at least mild to medium level of mathematics or calculations in it and not mathematics intensive. I've thought about professional courses in Project Management, ICAN(Accounting), NIESV(estate survey and valuation) and CIIN(insurance). Although I'm leaning towards registering for NIESV and becoming a professional surveyor and valuer. @ OP and everyone, do you think its a wise choice? would you advice someone who is just average in maths to try to be a surveyor and valuer. Any NIESV member in the house? advises please. Also is there career growth in being an estate surveyor? Thank you.

pro01: How important is numeracy in acquiring project management training? Is it necessary to have maths skills to successfully learn and implement project management?
I hope someone answers this question. I myself I am pondering which professional course i register for. Problem is that I'm average in mathematics, I've always been average in mathematics since my primary school days and sometime detest maths. Now most professional course seems to be calculative intensive and the last thing I want is to find myself studied a professional course where I struggle with the numerical section of it. Any advice or insights from peeps here will be appreciated.
ComputersRe: Gmail or Yahoo Mail: Which Do You Prefer? by casiello(m): 12:57pm On Sep 07, 2013
Gmail all the way. I have two issues with yahoo. Firstly, I sometimes find it difficult to compose mail whenever i'm browsing with a laptop using WiFi internet connection, I've had this experience with different laptops, using different WiFi internet connections on different locations so its kinda absurd to me whenever I experience this issue and I browse a lot of times using WiFi or BB subscriptions when I go mobile, I don't use modems so i don't know if that's the case when browsing on modems.
Secondly, yahoo has password remembering issues, every time i try to sign in, i'm always required to answer security questions and fill in captions and i just got tired of going through hell just to log into my mailbox. So its Gmail for me, yahoo is so past it, never regretted the day opened my gmail account.

Choicegirl: Airtel is the worst! The absolute worst!

07080604003
07080604004
07080604005
07080604006
07080604007
07080604008
07080604009

I simply hiss. And drop my phone. What's worse is that my phone is double sim so while Airtel is sending theirs, MTN is also sending theirs. So annoying!
Just add those numbers to your phone's blacklist and you will stop receiving calls from them, that's what I did on my Airtel phone and I never receive calls from those numbers again, your phone automatically block calls from those numbers.

Oga no vex jare, i was reading meaningful contributions from nairalander's until I scrolled down to Dygeasy post questioning Asala1's village because of his text message volume and i just got infuriated. Dygeasy was just very very wrong to do that and I got infuriated at his contribution that's it. Its better to post nothing than to post a reply attacking one's village.

Dygeasy: Why Should Your Message Tone Be Loud Enough To Wake You Up From Your Sleep?

You're From Which Village?
Why should you ask which village he's from just because his text message tone is loud, how the hell is that a problem if an individual chooses a loud text ringtone, just explain to me, how is that a problem? Infact who are you to question his village based on his text message volume?
