I do not support kanu, neither the chant for war because there would be casualties on both sides, but i have a few questions for those saying kudos to what the Governor did, and praising the president for sending troops to escort the Hausa's, Please for a while now we have heard new from the North of the killings and bombings, the herdsmen attack and all, what stops the government from declaring state of emergency on those states, how many time have they deployed troops to escort Igbo's and other tribe to their daily activity? Lets call a spade a spade each time we cry out they use force and hush us up. For how long?

Health / Must Read : Top 5 S*xually Transmitted Diseases In Nigeria by casnido2: 10:48pm On Aug 20, 2017
S*xually transmitted disease are also known as Venereal Diseases are diseases that are transmitted from one person to the other through s*xual activity, this incudes anal , vaginal or MouthAction.
The rate of s*xually transmitted disease and rapes especially of the underage (child rape) has become a major public health challenge in Nigeria

The high rate of prostitution and the glorification of commercial s*x activities and schemes in higher institutions of learning has also exacerbated the level of s*xually transmitted disease in the country. Teenagers are not also left out as their tendencies to explore new things and prove to their parents and peers that they have come of age has landed many in hospitals for all the wrong reasons.

As s*x divert more teenagers from class rooms to maternity wards, unfaithful husbands and promiscuous wives have also brought home diseases from one night stands/ accidental quickies and destroyed their families.

At public health Nigeria, we have provided the list of the top 5 s*xually transmitted diseases based on published studies and how to avoid them.

1. GONORRHEA
Gonorrhea is the most prevalent sexually transmitted disease (STD) in Nigeria. In fact, in 1963, WHO found Lagos to have the highest gonorrhea rate in the world? Recent surveys report gonorrhea prevalence to be as high as 28.1%. Some studies show a clear association between gonorrhea and male / female infertility. Penicillinase producing Neisseria gonorrhea prevalence varies from 44.4% in Zaria to 80% in Ibadan.

There are major several complications that arises in the event that a gonorrhea remains untreated, this could be related to the body tissues, reproductive capacity and deformities in new born see full details in the link below

2. HIV/AIDS
According to UNAIDS, The number of people living with HIV in Nigeria is between 2, 600 000 – 4, 500 000 more than double the population of some states. The prevalence rate of the disease among Adults aged 15 to 49 is 3.1%. HIV is a s*xually transmitted disease that has no cure currently.
Rivers, Taraba and Kaduna are the top three states with the highest level of HIVAIDS infection in Nigeria while Ekiti, Zamfara and Bauchi has the lowest rates. Globally more than 33 million people are living with or affected by HIV/AIDS.
HIV/AIDS has complicated the lives of millions in Nigeria, before the advent of free antiretroviral drugs many perished. In addition, due to the high rate of stigma many infected individuals are not taking advantage of the free anti-retroviral drugs and screening programs available.

While many others who are infected, unknowingly infect their loved ones because they do not know they carry the virus.

3. Trichomonasis
The Federal Ministry of Health reported the National average prevalence rate of
9.8% for trichomoniasis. The condition is caused by the one-celled protozoan organism Trichomonas vaginalis which is transmitted during s*xual activity. It could also be spread by sharing intimacy gadgets or the used of intimacy gadgets that have been contaminated with the disease causing organism.
About 70 percent of people with trichomoniasis don’t experience any signs or symptoms.
Having trichomoniasis can also cause genital inflammation that makes it easier to get infected with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, or to pass the HIV virus to a s*x partner. See link details below candidiasis.

4. Candidiasis
The Federal Ministry of Health reported the National average prevalence rate of
9.62% for Candidiasis...... CONTINUE READING HERE >>> http://staytrim.org/2017/08/must-read-top-5-sxually-transmitted-diseases-in-nigeria/
Career / Must Read : Struggle – A Prelude To Success by casnido2: 4:58am On Aug 17, 2017
Struggle is the device through which nature compels humans to expand and progress through stress and hard work.  It can either be an ordeal or a magnificent experience, it all depends on your attitudes towards it and your end goals.

Your success isn’t impossible and isn’t unthinkable with your struggles. This is because it strengthens and prepares you to appreciate success when it finally comes. This means your success can also be based on how well you overcome your struggles in life.

It can also be seen as a destiny teacher, which grooms you on what to expect from life and how to handle certain situation that might come your way.  They can also be important lessons that will help you grow in every ramification of life.

Some people try to go pass their struggles, dodging the huddles that is meant to teach them lessons, and prepare them for the future. However, such people never reach their goals the right way, or better still the never make it there.

The reality of it is,  we all have to go through it our own way. However, how we handle it realizing that there is hope for the future determine our outcome, and how it shapes our sense of character.  Nonetheless, without the sense of character which you are meant to gain from your struggles, you might end up flowing through life with very little purpose or plans.

Struggles forces you to move forward, it leads you to eventually realize  that your success comes through it.  This is because nothing worthwhile in life will ever be achieved without experiencing some kind or form of struggle. The truth is, if success was so easy, then everyone would be successful without putting effort.

Life demands struggle. Some who have everything given to them become lazy, selfish, and insensitive to the real values of life.

It is okay and human to feel stressed by your struggles sometimes.  You will find that it is encouraging to know that your struggles are easier to cope with a good attitude. Having a good attitude is not about minimizing the size and the effects of your struggles – it is about focusing on the result, not on your circumstances.

Life is a struggle and the rewards you get from meeting your difficulties is success and achievements.  Be brave, your struggles are only here to prepare you for the best.

Career / MUST READ : 15 Things Successful People Do On Monday Mornings by casnido2: 7:10am On Aug 14, 2017
This post is in partnership with Inc., which offers useful advice, resources, and insights to entrepreneurs and business owners. The article below was originally published at Inc.com.

Monday mornings are the most critical time of the workweek, as they set the stage for the day and week ahead.

"Because you've stepped away for a couple days, these back-to-work mornings are the most memorable for the rest of the week," says Lynn Taylor, a national workplace expert and the author of Tame Your Terrible Office Tyrant: How to Manage Childish Boss Behavior and Thrive in Your Job. "They influence your mindset in a positive or negative way, depending on what actions you decide to take."

Most successful people are keenly aware of the typical Monday morning workplace dynamic of unanticipated events, overflow of communications, and general chaos. "But after weathering hundreds of them, they realize they must gain control and stay upbeat," Taylor explains. "They take extra steps to compensate for this busy time of the week, and apply their best management skills to ensure that the day unfolds as smoothly as possible."

Here are 15 things successful people do on Monday mornings:

They wake up early and exercise.

This gets your circulation going and helps you stay alert, putting you at an advantage for a productive week ahead. "You'll get your endorphin rush, which will help your mood, too," Taylor explains.

They eat a healthy breakfast.

On Monday morning, you want to handle everything you have control over. Eating breakfast is one of those things. "You don't want to be staring at the clock, awaiting lunchtime as your stomach growls at morning meetings," she says.

They arrive early.

Do not succumb to the snooze button. "Commutes are bad on Monday, so beat the odds," Taylor says. Plus, getting in earlier than others will help make Monday morning seem more like the afternoon, because you'll have had a chance to breathe before responding to the barrage of people and issues. "Being an early bird will give you some wiggle room for the unexpected at work, not to mention any important personal matters that may arise," she says.

They clear their desk and desktop.

"Hopefully you already did this before you left on Friday," Taylor says. "But if you didn't, get this out of the way, or you might add to Monday stresses in a sea of disorganization." Organize and prioritize your files. Put aside unimportant paperwork, and keep critical files easily accessible. You want to be prepared when you, your boss, or colleagues need something at the last minute.

They carve out time for unexpected projects and tasks.

Successful individuals expect the unexpected on Monday, she says. "Your boss, team members, or staff may have remembered some loose ends over the weekend," she says, "so you're wise to build in some extra downtime on Monday morning."

They greet their team and boss.

This is important to do first thing every morning to keep morale high, but on Monday it's particularly valuable, as your team needs a special boost. "Ideally, you'll spend an few extra minutes with your colleagues on Monday mornings," Taylor explains. "It reinforces a sense of purpose and community for everyone, including you."

They update their to-do list and goals.

"Get yourself current on priorities and tasks," Taylor suggests. Then set five to eight goals for the week.

"Accomplished professionals have several goals in mind for the day and week," she says. "They know that if all goals aren't achieved, they can take pride in accomplishing most of them, and there's next week to achieve additional objectives."

They visualize the week's successes.

By envisioning the positive outcomes of various projects at hand, you can work backwards and determine the necessary steps to get your desired results.

They screen emails for urgent requests.

You can sink into email oblivion if you don't scan your inbox for urgency, Taylor says. "Star emails that are priorities, and think quality, not quantity," she says.

They tackle the tough challenges first.

The least desirable but critical projects are easy to put off, but your energy is stronger in the morning, so that's the ideal time to confront the most difficult assignments.

They make an extra effort to smile.

"It might be the last thing on your mind, but overcompensating for the pressure-cooker morning will help you get through it," she says. You may well stand out in the crowd, but your smile will likely be contagious, helping both you and team members relax.

They add a "blanket of humanity" to their emails.

It's tempting to power through all your emails in the most efficient way on Monday mornings. But before you hit Send, read them over to ensure that they're friendly and clear. "Put yourself in the recipient's shoes," Taylor says. "It's relatively easy to appear curt when you're in a hurry, along with the impersonal nature of emails and texts. You want to mitigate false starts and misinterpretations." One way to do this: Start the email by saying "Hi" and "I hope you had a great weekend."

They're able to say no.

"On Monday mornings, there will be many distractions--from people to emails to calls, meetings, offers for meeting in the break room, and so forth," Taylor explains. "Successful people can diplomatically and politely say no to colleagues by offering to engage at a later time."

If your boss needs you, that is clearly an exception. However, if you have crucial calls to make or meetings to attend, give your boss the heads-up. "It's stressful to be a people pleaser, particularly on Monday mornings," she says. "Generally, no one ends up being pleased, as you can't do your best work with conflicting priorities."

They stay focused.

Successful people don't dwell on any challenging events that occurred over the weekend or other frivolous thoughts. "Compartmentalize by putting them in a separate box as you start your week," she says.

Celebrities / Must Read : Why I Had A Son Out Of Wedlock -eucharia Anunobi by casnido2: 9:07pm On Jun 26, 2016
Nollywood veteran actress turned evangelist,Eucharia Anunobi has opened up on being a single mother and how having a son out of wedlock was a mistake.Excerpts from her interview with the New Telegraph Newspaper

You once said that your intimidating profile tends to discourage men from asking your hand in marriage; what is happening to your love life?
I can’t remember ever saying such a thing. I don’t know about men being scared of me (chuckles). Well, I will take it that what you are saying is that I’m not in a relationship. Of course you know I would not want to discuss my private life. But I have to tell you what I am doing and what is not happening, I believe in things that are incubating; if it’s meant to come out, it will come out. A lot of people do not know of my commitment to my Christian life too.
How is your son doing? He must have really grown now.
Very well, we thank the God Almighty, the Lord has been faithful.
What is it like being a single parent?
It was not a deliberate choice that I have made, it came by chance, it came by mistake. God does not kill His children who have made mistakes. He would rather sustain them and tell them that He is the owner of all things. The Lord has been sustaining me as a single parent I don’t think about it, all I know is ‘God, you are the one that created me and the child that you gave to me’. So whatever that is needed of me, it was a wrong choice that I made.
Have you tried to reconcile with the father of your son?.....

Romance / My Story Of Addiction Episode 4 by casnido2: 6:31pm On Jun 26, 2016
We got to the party around 1:30pm. It seems the party was organised by
Kikelomo’s final year student (last party). They don’t want the event
to be too crowded that was why they insisted that you must come along
with your guy/babe and I guess it really makes the party more
interesting.
Lots of beautiful faces (guys/babes). Kikelomo was busy introducing me
to her friends but the girls that got my attention were Motunrayo and
Chioma. Their name sank in my head (like super glue) when Kikelomo
introduced us.
I was not with a wrist watch…. so I brought out my phone to check
the time (2:45pm). I now saw that I had 2 missed calls and a text
message (all from Bidemi)… the text reads “I’m sorry about my
behaviour today. just don’t know what came over me. I’m missing you…
don’t do things I wouldn’t do. ‘love you'”.
I put back the phone in my pocket as Kikelomo approaches, and she
proposed that we danced.
Me: I don’t know how to dance...

Romance / My Story Of Addiction Episode 3 by casnido2: 8:21am On Jun 26, 2016
I got home very happy. I went straight to the bathroom to shower. Got

The text read “I wish what happened today could happen every other
day. Just want to check if you are home. Missing you already. Bidemi
loves you. Hmwammm!”
My mind skips after reading the text: I know that I love her but with
those two military men around (the love no go grow). I dialled her
number and she picks….
Bidemi: Hello
Me: hello
Bidemi: it’s now that you have my time abi?
Me: no oooo! I had to take my bath and attend to some family chores
Bidemi: family chores that’s more important than me.

better still, let’s do night call
Bidemi: (giggling) okay… village boy…. maaaaaa
Me: you are not serious… later jo. love you
Bidemi: love you too (hangs off).
Rushed out to meet my mum. She said that she has already collected GCE
form for me, that I should go to the cafe with my elder brother to
fill it. I was happy and rushed towards her and hug her… thank you
mummy. It’s okay, just start reading your books. Ese gan ma. Peck her
on her cheek and left.
It’s 10pm now.. I dialled Bidemi’s number but she did not pick. Maybe
she went to bed early because of our proposed night call.
I’m now alone thinking of what might happen if our families got to
know about it. Lost in thought… I don’t know when I dozed off, only
for me to wake up around 5:45am with 22 missed calls on my phone. That
was when I remembered that my phone was on silent. Yeepa! This girl go
kill me today oooo. I Flashed her just for me to know if she’s
sleeping or not. She called me back immediately :
Me: Hello
Bidemi: you try oooo… I have been up all night because of you. Look

Me: I’m sorry…. my phone was on silent because I’m not used to night calling

Romance / My Story Of Addiction (love Story) Episode One by casnido2: 10:36am On Jun 25, 2016
I was sweating profusely after Iyabo’s mum barged into her room and
caught us doing the unexpected. I tried explaining to her that it was
not what she thinks, though they say seeing is believing but it can
also be deceiving (trying to calm her).
She just kept shouting ‘mo daran mo daran’ meaning “I’m in trouble”.
Still feeling guilty and trying to beg her to please lower her voice
(after all she’s over 18 and not a “V” sef). She just kept shouting
until her eldest daughter (Motunrayo) rushed in to confirm what the
noise was all about.
Immediately she saw us….. she passed out and that was when I knew
the gravity of what I had done. Iya Motunrayo and Iyabo were trying to
bring Motunrayo back to life while I looked at the women (family) that
I had slept with (even Iya Motunrayo sef) in a confused state. Which
made me to reminisce about my simple way of life then.
I was not brought up this wild(my thought).
I was raised in a family of Five. comprises of two boys, a girl and
our parent. one thing I noticed about our family is that people keeps
complimenting our parents that we are cute. But in reality, we truly
are.
My Dad is a disciplinarian, so growing up with him was tough. Actually
he’s a top ranked Custom officer but he would have passed for a MAJOR
GENERAL in the army because of his strictness and protocol.
He was very strict that he does not entertain children from our
neighbourhood. The only children allowed by my Dad into our big house
were the children of a custom officer like himself, Mr. Adeboye. They
lived next street to ours. People say ‘great men think alike’…. I
can say yes to that when it comes to the way these military men treat
their children.
All work without play is now a daily routine to us. From house to
school… school to house…. house to church… church to house,
that’s how we spend our week and the same routine goes for every week.
Little did I know that all this is about to change in a jiffy with
Bidemi Adeboye (daughter of the Adeboye’s)
Bidemi Adeboye changed my perspective to life. We were so closed that
our parents were beginning to suspect that we were dating. But they
couldn’t do anything, rather than hope that’s not true. We became fond
of each other that if we were of the same gender, she would have been
passing the night in our place and me at her place too.
I was 17years old then and Bidemi was 16 but She would have passed for
a 20 year old girl. She is tall and has all the right curves at the
right place.
One unfaithful day in my room, We started playing and I told her that
I always feel jealous when other guys look at her with lust.
Bidemi: really
Me: Yes….(my heart beating fast) I think……
Bidemi: what?
Me: (staring away) I think I like you. And I will like to….. never
mind, I don’t think it can work
Bidemi: I like you too… what do you mean about not working out?.....
