This guy named Jude from Ishieke, a Keke driver escaped being lynched after he was was caught at Spera Indio area of Ebonyi state where he stole his passengers phone. The "lucky" tricycle driver was almost mobbed by the angry residents in the area before he was handed over to the police for necessary actions.

Men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Cross River State Police Command shot five suspected armed robbers dead Monday in Calabar. It was gathered the robbers had carried out an operation along IBB Way, but while they were escaping, were intercepted by the SARS squad, who chased them and gunned them down along Barracks Road.

There was a gun battle before the suspected robbers were killed an eye witness said.

It was gathered that the vehicle the robbers used was razed by an angry mob after the robbers were killed.

Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Irene Ugbo, confirmed the incident.

“Yes five were gunned down after a gun battle and a chase from SARS at Barracks Road. They had robbed around that axis when our men were alerted and chased them. There was a shootout and five of them were gunned down,” Ugbo said.

She said some weapons and cash were recovered from the robbers.

A marijuana seller was made to roll a joint after he was nabbed by police operatives in Lagos. According to a report, the hoodlum identified as Kolade (24) felt barbing wasn't yielding enough dough for him. He enlisted in the sales of Indian hemp to criminals who rob at dawn and night at CMS under bridge.

Omoyele Sowore, publisher of Sahara Reporters - has been forced to declare his bank accounts public after being accused of having over one million US dollars ($1,000, 063.00). Sowore in a Facebook post on Monday, July 31, said reports that his account with the American bank frozen is allegedly being spread by the Senate President Bukola Saraki and his associates.

The publisher further posted screenshots of his accounts - local and international - to drive home his claims.

Folks: Let me just act goofy today by declaring all my private bank accounts publicly just so that so some of you can get some answers you need.

It is important to let you know that the Bank Of America (BOFA) bank account summary being bandied around by Bukola Saraki and his minions yesterday was manufactured since last week. I do not have a personal or investment account at BOFA.

However, after hitting them hard yesterday revealing their fraudulent legal judgements in Ilorin, they had to resort to something.

These screenshots of my accounts both in the US and Nigeria were taken today.

Please understand that my Nigerian accounts have been frozen via a kangaroo court order obtained from a Jankara judge in Ilorin, Kwara state.

My confirmed cash balance across two (US and Nigeria) continents as of this morning stands at $6,213 minus $6, 100 and debit card balance of $100 frozen in my GTB account. My account balance in Naira is less than N2,000.

My available bank cash today in the US is approximately $13! I also have close to £10 left from funds that I exchanged while in the UK this past weekend.Mind you I am not seeking anyone's sympathy, there is no need for it.

A manhunt has been launched for a fake travel agent identified as Grace Bale Oyeleye who operates in Lagos and sells fake online tickets to unsuspecting Nigerians. According to confirmed online reports, the woman who is known for fraudulent activities is now being hunted and wanted by the authorities after absconding with several passengers fares without issuing tickets.

An online user even shared the fake ticket issued to him by the fake travel agent.

Last week a lady living in the U.K. had planned to come home for a short holiday. She bought her ticket online but on getting to the airport she was told her ticket was fake! The police is on the case but she couldn't travel again. Now this evening another person has been sold a fake ticket meant for the U.K. - can it be a syndicate?

This woman: Grace Bale Oyeleye. Of TOURSAVENUE TRAVEL 6,SALAMI STREET, OFF PRINCE BODE OLUWO STREET, MENDE, MARYLAND, LAGOS......Has been selling tickets on all airlines to prospective passengers and issuing invalid tickets or in some cases no tickets at all.

She has since absconded with several passengers fares without issuing tickets.

The Lagos State government has commenced the demolition of illegal structure and shanties around the Obalende area of the state. A task force team that stormed the area in the early hours of Saturday said prior warnings including a 48-hour notice had been issued to the occupants.

Some occupants, however, claimed that the notice was too short.

Religious war is currently looming in Imo state as the Clergy of Anglican Diocese of Orlu has raised alarm over the planned acquisition of the former Orientation Camp which according to them originally belonged to Anglican Communion, otherwise known as old TTC, and Ama Nwanyi, some 100 years ago.

The power of social media can not be over-emphasized. A newly wed lady identified as Chinyelu has revealed how she met her heartthrob/husband Ifeanyi via social media in the United State. According to her, Ifeanyi was going through his social media account when he saw her lovely photos on one of his friend’s pages. He was mesmerized and decided to drop her a message. It was truly unexpected for me to meet Ifeanyi. I had just moved to Atlanta, GA and was at a point in my life where I wanted to focus on myself and get adjusted to my new city. All of my friends and family knew that I didn't care for blind dates. So, if they wanted me to meet someone, I told them to have them contact me via social media. That way, I can see his picture and decide if I wanted to respond or not. On August 4, 2014, I received a message from Ifeanyi who is a great friend of one of my bridesmaids. He saw a picture of me and my good friend, and thought I was beautiful.

It wasn’t until he told me he was a University of Miami Hurricanes fan (my college’s rival) that I became intrigued. I ran track at Florida State University and love my alma mater, so why would anyone want to be a University of Miami fan? I clearly had to find out why. Since then, we continued to message each other back and forth and I was starting to like what I saw in his personality.

After a while, we decided to talk on the phone and our conversations then became even more heartfelt and meaningful. In November, while I was visiting family and friends in Houston, he arranged for us to meet at Fish and The Knife, a beautiful sushi restaurant and lounge.

Dinner was amazing and throughout the night I saw he had an amazing smile. After our first date, we traveled back and forth between Houston and Atlanta so that we could see each other at least twice a month. With every conversation and every visit, I saw myself falling more and more for this man. His words, his smile, his heart, and the way he looked at me, made me feel so special that I knew he was the one for me. That December, we had an amazing date at Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint in Atlanta, GA. With jazz music filling the air, he told me how special I was to him and how much I meant to him. He told me he has never met anyone like me before and could see himself spending the rest of his life with me. It was at that point that he truly touched my heart. I had this wonderful feeling within and right then, I knew I was in love.

A gang of robbers whose modus operandi is to attack, snatch and run and in some cases, maim their victims met their water loo today. This happened along Umezurike Hospital Road by Nworie River in Imo state. An unsuspecting young Lady was walking along the said road ,not knowing that he was being trailed by the hoodlums operating with a Tricycle(Keke).

Eye witness accounted that as they approached the Lady, they grabbed her handbag and hit the road.

The attack made the victim to raise alarm which attracted ever vigilant and conscious Imolites including operatives of Imo Civil Guards. The criminals were given a hot chase that made them to run.

Their trick to distract those pursuing them by throwing away the Handbag yielded no fruit as the charged pursuers sustained their pursuit.

In the melee that ensued, plain cloth Police officers patrolling around joined them.

Along the line, the criminals abandoned the Tricycle and ran to the Nworie River Bush.

Immediately, the area was cordoned and with spirited efforts, one of them was caught.

The police presence stopped the masses from executing jungle Justice immediately.

Investigating, people around quickly testified that the caught criminal is a known face who specializes in snatching of bags,phones etc.

The criminal has since been taking to State CID for further investigations.

A man who decided to show his wealth at an event by spraying cash on a lady who was dancing seriously for him. In a trending video footage posted online, the man who came back from abroad according to online reports, was seen dancing and spraying cash on the female dancer who was twerking for him with her head on the ground in front of stunned guests.

The video footage has gone viral with many online users blasting the man for his public show.

This happened at a ceremony in the eastern part of the country judging from the music played in the background.

A huge scene was caused following the failed arrest of a paramount ruler in Cross River state. The incident occured on Tuesday morning after men of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) from the Force Headquarters Abuja, decided to arrest the Obol Lopon of Ugep, Obol Ofem Ubana following the recent gang war in Ugep community.

According to CrossRiverWatch, it was reported that the Obol Ofem was arrested and was later released when the FSARS unit discovered that they could not contain or maneuver through the large crowd that had gathered to protest the attempted arrest of the monarch.

The youths had said that it has never been heard in the history of Ugep that the Obol Lopon has been arrested and therefore he will not go to Abuja with them.

An alarm has been raised following the killings of various animals by a "mysterious being/beast" in Agbarho community, Ughelli North area of Delta state. According to reports, a vigilante group which claimed to have had an encounter with the beast - shot at it but the bullets were impenetrable. Read a report as shared by Olanrewaju Adesina.

What seen to be a mere joke or out of reality is gradually becoming a serious issues and threat to life in Agbarho community, in Ughelli North area of Delta State.

The half- human and half- animal beast or spirit as claim by the Agbarho vigilante, who said they have encounter with the beast. They shot at her but no effect of bullet on the beast, while they have to take to their heels. According to different report the incident have being going on for the past SIX (6) DAYS, amount to SIX DOMESTIC ANIMALS KILLED.

According to eyewitness, the first case was reported to have taking place in OGUNAME VILLAGE, then two cases recorded in WATER-BOARD, two case at ABILOGUN street and one case at OSAH.

The mystery about the killing by the beast is the fact that the blood of it prey was drain that no blood traces can be seen on the ground, all the inner organs with the abdomen was eaten off as well. The case have be reported to the paramount ruler of the community.

What maybe the likely cause of the mysterious event see to be a riddles to all inhabitant of the community, some believe the beast comes from water and while other believe the gods are angry with the land because some group of chief summon the king to court.

May God heal the land of Agbarho before the beast still attacking humans.

Yesterday, the dreaded Boko Haram sect reportedly ambushed oil exploration workers and security operatives between Magumeri and Gubio local government areas of Borno State. Reports say 10 academic and technical staff from the geology department of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) were among those said to have been abducted on Tuesday.

Security operatives and some members of the civilian JTF, numbering up to 30, were also reported to have fallen into the trap of the terrorists.
