A lawyer identified as Barr. Gerald Eguaroje from Okpe in Edo state has been accused of maltreating and brutalizing his wife over trivial domestic issues. Read the below report as shared by Fejiro Oliver, an investigative journalist and Human Rights activists.

The man in this post is Barr. Gerald Eguaroje from Okpe in Akoko Edo local government Area of Edo state while the wife is a Benin woman but they live in Lagos.

They are blessed with two kids,a boy and a girl.

A lawyer who should be kicking against domestic violence is a dreaded monster in it. At the slightest provocation, he pounds the wife like a boxer, giving her bruises and serious injuries.

The picture of her here injured occurred when he wanted to bring a relative from the village and the wife simply asked why he never sought get opinion.

Rather than explaining, he pounced on her like a cat and pummeled her face, saying he owns the house and can do what he likes.

Passersby who saw him beating him on the street where they reside and sent this to me were shocked that a lawyer could act like this and use negative words on her unbecoming of a lawyer.

She's currently in danger and may lose her eyes.

A pastor's son identified as Silas Anidi, who allegedly beheaded an 11-year-old girl Aghogho Igbi for ritual purposes in 2015 - has reportedly escaped from a remand home where he was kept in Sapele area of Delta state. It was earlier reported that Anidi, who is the only son of the General Overseer of God Peculiar Evangelical Ministry in Sapele, was caught by neighbours when he also attempted to kill the deceased sister, Favour aged 13 after his friend in Ghana told him to bring a human head.

The suspect was said to be a family friend to the Igbi’s and in the course of a visit, beheaded the victim and was about to do same to Aghogho’s sister, Favour, when neighbours got him arrested.

According to Sapele Oghenek, the then 15-year-old boy who confessed to the crime was charged to court as he was ordered to be kept in a remand home under under the management of one Barrister Collins.

According to Oghenek, the management of the remand home and the family of the killer conspired to release him through the back door. Now the parents of the slain girl is seeking for justice and want the authorities to come to her aid.

The Ozubulu community in Ekwusigo local government area of Anambra State were this morning thrown into mourning as a gun man walked into St Philip's Catholic Church and started shooting sporadically, killing 11 and injuring 18 persons

On hearing the sad development, Governor Obiano stormed the scene to ascertain the level of damage and sympathize with the people.

Speaking at the Church premises, the governor revealed that preliminary security investigations show that the shooting was caused by a feud between two brothers from the community living outside Nigeria

"This is sacrilegious, totally unacceptable in Anambra State." - Gov Obiano

The deeply saddened governor asked the people to go about their businesses without fear or panic noting that this isolated case must be followed to the root and all perpetrators must be brought to book.

"We can't allow this happen in Anambra, we must get everyone involved to face the music" the governor declared

Gov Obiano also visited Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi where the injured are being treated.

Thanking over 50 doctors who were on ground looking after the injured, the governor assured their families that all medical bills will be taken care of by the State Government

According to an online report, this intelligent student who scored 306 in JAMB, got 6 A1s and 3 B3s In WAEC has been met with financial restraint as his parents can't afford to send him to university. According to a post shared on Facebook by Rariya, the young man identified as Shitu Abdullahi, might be unable to further his education in an institution of higher learning despite excelling in his JAMB and WAEC exams.

Abdullahi scored a total of 306 out of 400 in JAMB, while making a total of six A1s and three B3s in WAEC.

Shittu Abdullahi excelled in both JAMB and WAEC but is unable to further his education.

Abdullahi who hails from the Malam Maduri local government area in Jigawa state, might have to end his education at secondary school level, because his parents cannot afford to see him through a university.

Rariya shared this story which was entirely written in Hausa, soliciting for help on his behalf, so as not to let his brilliance go to waste.

A thief was got more than he bargained for after he was nabbed during an operation in Isiokolo area of Delta state on Tuesday. The criminal was beaten mercilessly by eagle-eyed villagers who apprehended him while trying to steal in the neighbourhood.

After he was beaten, he was also disgraced as he was paraded in his underwear before the arrival of security operatives who took him into custody.

The Nigerian Army has made a shock discovery about how Boko Haram has been getting the supply of female suicide bombers.Army spokesman, Brigadier Gen. Sani Usman said the girls were donated by their parents, according to some of the would-be-bombers apprehended and who made revealing statements during interrogations. APPEAL TO RELIGIOUS TRADITIONAL AND COMMUNITY LEADERS

The Nigerian Army wishes to appeal to religious, traditional and community leaders, as well as all well-meaning Nigerians especially in the North East of our country, to help dissuade people from donating their daughters or wards, to Boko Haram terrorists for indoctrination and suicide bombing missions.

This appeal became expedient in view of recent revelations by some intercepted female suicide bombers during interrogations.

It was discovered that most of these hapless minors were "donated" to the terrorists sect by their heartless and misguided parents and guardians, as part of their contribution to the perpetuation of the Boko Haram terrorists' dastardly acts against the Nigerian society and humanity.

The acts of these parents and guardians are not only barbaric, but condemnable and unacceptable.

Nigerians have a responsibility and obligation to collectively mould our children and wards and define a better future for them rather than condemning them to death by the criminal Boko Haram terrorists and their sympathizers through suicide bombings.

Consequently, the public are kindly requested to be more vigilant, security conscious and report any suspicious persons or those whose daughters or female wards are missing or have not been seen recently.

Mr. Patrick Edet who resigned as a Reverend Father few days ago has said he stood as a man in the gap in his family and prophesied that his brother would become the first General in the Nigerian Army from Oro Nation. He made this known in his live radio program on Planet 101.1FM.

A woman, mother of 3, was rescued alive, but with minor burns, as a result of fire outbreak in a bungalow building at 11 Morounfolu Street, Otubu busstop, Agege, Lagos, today. The woman had been trapped in the inferno with nobody indicating that she was inside, until a relation from different community rushed in and raised alarm on her whereabouts before search and rescue efforts were focused on her room and this led to her being rescued alive.

.She had, since, been taken to an undisclosed hospital by her relation. The cause of the fire was unknown. NEMA, Manufacturer Association of Nigeria (MAN) Fire Service, State Fire Service, Police and LASEMA Fire Service Unit responded to the distress alert.

Boko Haram terror group has released a propaganda video where it showed its operation in the vast Sambisa forest. Sambisa used to be the operational headquarters of Boko Haram. The propaganda video sent to SaharaReporters shows that the group has reportedly returned to its former base with its fighters carrying out their normal activities.

In the 29-minute video, the terrorist group showed its men going about their normal businesses. Some of them were shown in a local bakery, baking bread, moving on motorcycles and engaging in trading activities in a location purported to be Sambisa.

Others were shown in farmlands, growing different crops.

The terrorists were also shown in the propaganda video buying and selling goods including foodstuff, books, clothing, cement, automobile spare parts and other goods in small shops.

Boko Haram also showed its men operating laptop and computers in the video.

The terrorist group also showed some of its men on a training session.

Oyintari Michael whose genital was chopped off by his step grandfather during a traditional circumcision at Ondewari Community in Southern Ijaw LGA, Bayelsa State is flown to India this afternoon 02/08/2017 for a reconstructive surgery.

Recall that the Bayelsa State government through the wife of the governor, Rachael Dickson took the financial burden of baby Oyintari's healthcare and issued N6m cheque and other traveling documents to his parents to perform the surgery on him.

Oyintari who was 8months old at the time of the ugly incident this year February has been in the protective custody of the Bayelsa First Lady and is now 1year and 2months old.

An investigative journalist has rejected 700,000 cash which was given to him as a bribe to kill a story in Kano state. Nasiru Salisu Zango who describes himself as a whistle-blower and Human Rights fighter - currently works with Freedom Radio Kano, was presented with the "incentive" to cover up a scandal relating to new shops at Wambai Market in Kano.

According to reports, investigation is still underway as relating to the matter.
