Help has come the way of a young man with a unusual medical condition who was recently spotted by Barry Idakwo in a village near Ugbamaka, Olomaboro local government of Kogi State. According to Ahmed Attah, the special assistant on Health to Governor Bello - who also works at Specialist Hospital Lokoja, the young man is being expected in Lokoja today for treatment under the auspices of the Kogi State Health Funds for Indigent Citizens established by Governor Yahya Bello...

Arrangements have already been concluded with the Orthopedic Surgeon who will attend to him once he gets here.

This young man from Inele is reportedly going to be given a new lease on life.

A fatal accident occurred earlier today -leaving two people dead and scores reportedly injured after a truck rammed into a commercial Keke operator at the ever busy Imo State University roundabout in Owerri. The truck, believed to have lost control veered off its track while negotiating the roundabout , crushing on motion commercial Keke full with passengers before finally falling over.

The incident, which occurred a few meters from the gate of the Imo State University, resulted in a heavy traffic jam.

A teenage boy almost met his end after stabbing another boy with a bottle on Sunday morning in Calabar, Cross River State. The teenage boy almost got burnt to death by an angry crowd after the horrific act. According to reports, the boys got into an argument before the gruesome attack..

They were reportedly quarrelling over an incident, as one of them allegedly threw a stone at the other. The other boy (perpetrator), then picked up a bottle of beer, struck it on the ground and allegedly stabbed his friend at the rib region.

According to reports, the stabbed boy started shouting as he bled and collapsed. Then people came out and began to clamp on the attacker - beating him mercilessly before he started pleading for his life.

Luckily for the boy , the security men of the Response Patrol 13 arrived and immediately snatched the boy from the mob who wanted to lynch him. The crowd also pleaded with the police to carry alongside the injured victim to the hospital for treatment.

A Nigerian guy identified as Dan Ladi is the rave of the moment after gifting his mother a brand new Venza Car. The young man who shared the good news on his Facebook page revealed how he sold his mother's car years back out of desperation to travel abroad in search for greener pastures.

Today, Dan Ladi is not only the "star" of his family, but is also providing for his people. To climax it, he has surprisingly replaced his mum's car with a brand new car.

A ghastly motor accident occurred in Egbeda, Lagos on Thursday, July 20, involving 8 passengers and a little baby. According to reports, most of the victims sustained serious different degrees of injuries. A young man (pictured below) who identified himself as a pilot - reportedly rescued the little baby called Abdullahi under the crashed 14-seater commercial bus and rushed him to the hospital.

The young man was also said to have paid for the hospital bills before the father of the little babe arrived.

After hours of rainfall that occurred overnight and early hours of yesterday in Akwa Ibom state, some residents are lamenting their losses as most roads and buildings in Ibeno area of the state have become flooded. One of the affected victims, said that his properties and those of other residents were carried away by the massive flood in Iwuo-Achang community in Ibeno Local Government area of Akwa Ibom.

He blamed poor drainage system for the cause of the floods and begged Government to come to their aid.

This is very shameful. A young lady was descended upon by a woman and her friend who accused her of having an affair with her husband. In a trending video footage which was posed online, the scorned wife and her friend stormed the residence of the lady in question, as they stripped her totally unclad while punching and beating her in the process.

She was finally dragged outside her apartment in such embarrassing condition.

Mr Godwin Oga, a 46 year old staff of Benue State Environmental Sanitation Agency (BENSESA) has resorted to hawking groundnuts on the streets of the state capital, Makurdi because to survive. The father of three revealed that he started the business last month after he was unable to provide food for his family following governments in ability to pay salaries for several months.

Speaking to Benue News, he said;

“I have so far spent 15 years in service with BENSESA and have also been screened in the ongoing state government screening exercise. “I started this groundnut business earlier in June this year to prevent hunger and starvation of my family and to buy medications” he explained.

Mr Oga added that despite being a laughing stock, he preferred the business to stealing, urging other civil servants in the same situation as his, to also seek alternative means of survival.

Recall that that state government owes upwards of five months unpaid salaries to state governments workers and eight months for local government workers and teachers; pensioners are also owed over a year’s wages.

Pictured is Serah John (Awa) who's among the women abducted by Boko Haram. Fourteen women were kidnapped in a raid by the militant group on a military/police convoy in Borno State some weeks ago. The incident took place a few kilometres outside Maiduguri, on Damboa Road.

It could be recalled that a large convoy travelling from Maiduguri to Damboa under a military escort was ambushed on June 20 by Boko Haram gunmen some 31 kilometres from Maiduguri.

Some of the travellers, including a police officer and a soldier were killed in the ambush.

The Founder of Malala Fund and Girls' Education Activist, Ms. Malala Yousafzai earlier yesterday paid Governor Kashim Shettima a courtesy visit at the Government House Maiduguri. She was accompanied by her father, Ziauddin Yousafzai Shangla and officials of the UN.

Malala advocated for a better future to the children in Borno State by supporting teachers in terms of better salary and other incentives, and urged the State Government to ensure the safety of children and their education by implementing the child’s right act and promoting transparency in the educational sector to allow other donor agencies to come in, as they thanked the State Government for its efforts in providing quality education to the children.

Governor Kashim Shettima while receiving them assured to provide intellectual skills to the children for a better future, and coming to expenditure on education, he is about to spend over 40% of the budget.

He said towards this end, mothers in the Northern Borno which is left behind in terms of Western education will be given a stipend of N2000 per month to send their children to school, adopting Brazil's 'Bolsa Familia' model of social welfare and education programme on improving the lives of the populace.

The Governor later took them to one of the Mega Schools being constructed, for them to have a feel of his passion for girl child education, and education in general.

A Youth advocate and political strategist identified as Oladimeji Omo Balogun has narrated how he survived after the vehicle he was in while coming from a wedding and traveling to a birthday in Ogun state - was bashed by a speeding train. The man who claimed he passed out for some minutes after the collision - revealed that he came out unscathed from the accident. Read his story below;

About this time yesterday (1. 30pm.. Saturday, 15th of July, 2017), I was coming from Elder Dapo Adeyemi son's wedding ceremony in Alakuko, Lagos, to attend Chief Olusegun Osoba's 78th birthday in Abeokuta.

As we were trying to cross the rail track between Obada Oko and Adigbe in our vehicle, out of nowhere, all of a sudden, without any notice, we found a train 50metres away from our vehicle. HEAD ON, we were hit by this train that is probably running at 500kpm/hour.

I passed out, but to the glory of God, I woke up less than 5min after the collision and walked out of the CONDEMNED car unscathed except for a minor pain in my neck.

What else can I say than to thank Him!
