I'm Glad I Could Get You To Write You're Properly Raised. My Point Is This, Whether You're Right About Your Submissions Or Not Doesn't Negate The Fact That Magu Has Been Rejected Twice By A Constitutionally Constituted Senate. Your Submissions Doesn't Also Belly The Fact That DSS Indicted Magu. Onus Is On Magu And DSS To Prove That The Reports Were (maybe to paraphrase you), Hogwash. Until That Is Done, Buhari Is Disobeying Constituted Authorities And You Know For A Fact That Democracy Isn't Dictorship Or Autocracy. Doyin2: This is a social forum.Responding to your comments is to inform the public, not necessarily because of you.
The so called DSS report is a hog wash!
The same presidency had investigated all the allegations contained therein and found them to be non-issue.I am taking you on an intellectual sojourn:
If you were Buhari, which of those allegations that had been debunked by documentary evidence would make you sack some one you trust to deliver on your mandate.
I personally, had digested the hog wash DSS report, the same being recycled many times, and I can authoritatively conclude that the agency should be overhauled and staffed with more professionally minded people.
1.How does Magu fail integrity test by living in a house rented by an agency of his employer(the cost is very irrelevant)
2.How would Magu become a liability ,by keeping official documents containing very sensitive investigative documents,at home,if he felt they could be stolen in the office?
3.How does flying a first class ticket in a personal capacity constitute a fail of integrity test, when no evidence was indicated that the monies so spent was a proceed of corruption.
Does flying a first class imply living beyond his means? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO......
For God's sake ,read the biography of MAGU. A chartered accountant and ACP,can not afford first class ticket? The DSS must be full of clowns!
4.How does flying in a volunteered Jet ,to save cost, constitute a fail of integrity test? More so when the donor as at then was not under any criminal investigation?
Sometimes I ponder, was this really a security or vendetta report? No evidence of any criminal record,a major issue in any serious security report?
I pause..

I Am Taking This Moment To Respond And Encourage You To Desist From Quoting Me Going Forward. Keep Your Facts To Yourself And Family. In Your Screwed And Myopic Mind, The Senate Wrote The Damning Letter From The DSS Office? Even If The DSS Were Paid To Indict Magu, Aren't They An Appendage Of The Presidency? Why Then Should Buhari Not Sack Magu Given That The Senate Acted On A Security Report That Also Originated From The Presidency And Twice Rejected Magu? Please Keep Your Facts To Yourself o. The World Can Bear Witness Because The Next Time You'll Get On Me, You'll Have Me Banned, Trust Me. Doyin2: People like you just talk with leaking mouths,no supporting evidence or authority to back up your senseless comments.
Is forcing a president to sack an executive part of Senate independence? Is that not actually a breach of executive independence ?Which law has Buhari not obeyed concerning this matter?
There is no case of rubber stamping here. The senate had exercised its right not to confirm MAGU. President Buhari is exercising his own right to retain MAGU as the acting EFCC chairman,in accordance with section 171 of the constitution.
Legal illiterate like you should note that the constitution is superior to any senate rules or resolution. The senate is not the law,the law comprises of the Constitution and an Act of parliament!!!
Now Who is bulling who?:
1.A senate that wants to blackmail the president to sack acting EFCC chairman, contrary to section 171 of the constitution ? 2.or a president that is exercising his powers under section 171 of the constitution.
171. (1) Power to appoint persons to hold or act in the offices to which this section applies and to remove persons so appointed from any such office shall vest in the President. (2) The offices to which this section applies are, namely - (a) Secretary to the Government of the Federation; (b) Head of the Civil Service of the Federation; (c) Ambassador, High Commissioner or other Principal Representative of Nigeria abroad; (d) Permanent Secretary in any Ministry or Head of any Extra-Ministerial Department of the Government of the Federation howsoever designated; and (e) any office on the personal staff of the President. (3) An appointment to the office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation shall not be made except from among Permanent Secretaries or equivalent rank in the civil service of the Federation or of a State. (4) An appointment to the office of Ambassador, High Commissioner or other Principal Representative of Nigeria abroad shall not have effect unless the appointment is confirmed by the Senate. (5) In exercising his powers of appointment under this section, the President shall have regard to the federal character of Nigeria and the need to promote national unity. (6) Any appointment made pursuant to paragraphs (a) and (e) of subsection (2) of this section shall be at the pleasure of the President and shall cease when the President ceases to hold office; Provided that where a person has been appointed from a public service of the Federation or a State, he shall be entitled to return to the public service of the Federation or of the State when the President ceases to hold office.

I Don't Understand This Cabal In The Presidency. Has Anyone Taken A Moment To Remind Sagay That The National Assembly Is Independent Of The Presidency And Not The Latter's Appendage? Nairaland General › Akwa Ibom Government Signs N371 2017 Appropriation Bill Into Law by castrokins(op): 10:40am On Mar 29, 2017 |
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Deacon Udom Emmanuel yesterday signed the 2017 Appropriation Bill of N371 billion into law. Assenting to the bill at executive council chamber, Government House, Uyo, the governor expressed appreciation to the leadership of the Akwa Ibom House of Assembly for its painstaking effort in scrutinizing the bill and subsequent passage, culminating in the presentation for assent. He commended the State House of Assembly for its unity of purpose saying they have worked for unity and good of the people of state. In his words, Deacon Emmanuel said; “Let me use this opportunity to thank the Leadership of the 6th Assembly for the great work of unity and fairness which they have done for the people of the state. They have placed the interest of the state above self and the public expect nothing more than this show of unity and togetherness in moving the state forward,’’ The Governor expressed the hope, that the Budget of Consolidation (as is so tagged) would facilitate the implementation of the state’ s economic and development blueprint. “I have before me a bill which has been deliberated and passed by the state House of Assembly which we need to give assent to become a law. I hereby assent to 2017 Appropriation Bill in line with the extent of work done by the Legislators and duly authenticated by the Clerk of the House. This Budget has been tagged Budget of Consolidation and together in unity and one accord we ‘ll work to consolidate the gains of previous years and expand opportunity for our people in the year 2017” In an interview, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Onofiok Luke, said that the House through its Appropriation Committee thoroughly scrutinized the Budget in accordance with the provisions of the law. He expressed optimism that the assent of the bill will enable the Executive to deliver on it development programmes. The permanent secretary budget office, Nicholas Ekarika, thanked the state House of Assembly for the speedy consideration and passage of the bill for assent by the state governor. source: https://uyotoday.com/2017/03/29/akwa-ibom-signs-n371-2017-appropriation-bill-into-law/ |
