Itsrm:Over the course of the saga I did try this but then my madam would take the car out and forget to do this when she came back and by morning the battery would be drained. Like I said I loved that car but the stress was so much that I just felt the bother wasn't worth it and besides I had other cars so maybe that made the decision easier. I told this story to steel the OPs mind that battery drain is one of the most difficult problems to solve. At times it does not throw up any codes after scanning and from my experience most times the mech resort to trial by error. In my experience it could stop for some months then bang the next morning your car wouldn't start and you had to jump start the car. It was a harrowing experience . |
Battery draining issues is the worst thing that can happen to your car. I bought a 2010 Lexus 350 es from a dealer. The car was so neat, balanced and solid. I loved that car. The only issue was the fact that something was draining the battery. Initially I thought my battery was bad and bought a new 75 amp battery while gifting my mech the old one. Seven days later the new battery drained out. I woke up in the morning and the ignition just made a click click sound. I accused the mech of getting me a dud battery. The mech pleaded innocence,so we took the vehicle to a rewire who suggested we should remove the car tracker I installed after buying the car, according to the rewire the tracker was the culprit. So we removed the car tracker. We recharged the car battery and everything was okey dokey for a week. Monday morning. Work day. Took my bath. Dressed up. Entered my car. Hit the keyless button. Click, click, click!!! I was mad. This was a car I used last night. Decided to ditch my mech, and sought a new one who suggested we run a scan on the vehicle while doing his best to run down the previous mech as an incompetent oaf. Scan was run on the vehicle severally but it did not give any concrete codes. Mr Mech then suggested we buy a new battery. He gave the impression that the battery bought was not original. I agreed to buy a new battery but this time I didn’t give it out but tried it in one of my alternate cars and it worked quite well once it was charged very well. So I moved on to mech number 3, an elderly and wise middle aged man who warned me that the vehicle needed to be driven over a certain range of miles daily or else the charging system would not be adequately charged and the battery would run down. He even advised me to pay a visit to Lexus forum's. I drove that car from that moment. I would fire the vehicle on long routes in order to work out the battery. One month later when I thought the solution had been found,I got to my car one morning, pressed the starter button and the click, click sound again. I was mad. Called the old mech and he brought a young rewire who after running 🏃♀️ scans told me the door locks were faulty and because of this were draining the battery. By this time I was so fed up I asked him to change the locks. The locks were changed but after a week, the battery ran down again. By this time I was completely exasperated with the car,the mechs and rewires. I just put the car up for sale. As much as I loved that car I just sold it at a loss just to get it out of my garage. Let the guy that bought it solve the battery drain issues. Phew!!! I wouldn't wish the experience on my worst enemy. OP, all the best solving your issues! |
Casemiro was lucky there. Carol could have broken his leg and was rightly sent off. |
Casemiro!! |
Great100000:Go back and read what I wrote, and this time SLOWLY. |
MightySparrow:Leave that matter. Frank Lampard is a specialist in taking teams into relegation zone. Count the teams where he worked. It always ended in premium tears: RELEGATION ZONE! |
Specialist in taking teams to relegation. If this guy wasn't English no team would employ him,but just watch in a few seasons another team will employ him and viola, they will find themselves sliding into the relegation zone. ![]() Final thought: As good as Manchester City and Arsenal are this season they should not tempt fate and employ Frank because naa relegation zone straight. No brake. In fact give Frank, Haaland as his main striker and Messi as supplier, naa RELEGATION straight! ![]() |
prinsam30:Naa temporary thing make Erik sign Worghost. Give him time next season he will definitely sign a proven goal scorer. Martial has refused to take charge and step up while Mason Greenwood succeeded in destroying his career over a woman. |
Martinez!!! |
Rashford!!! |
KabirHakeem:Please get rid of this mechanic . The Lexus is a luxury upgrade on the Camry. It is more solid, heavier and more balanced on the road. |
This kind of thing is rampant among people who work in establishments where a lot of transfers occur. I worked at Bakassi peninsula in the late 1990s and was surprised at the number of single mothers ,who were knocked up by soldiers serving in that area during the Nigeria/Cameron battle for supremacy in that axis. Most of these children relocated to Ikang in Cross River state after the world Court ceded Bakassi to Cameron. A ticking time bomb of a mass of young men who never asked to be born. |
Spurs bottling things as usual! |
Yes!!! |
Rashford!!! |
Chikalue:I really pity anyone who falls for this blatant scam. |
When something is cooked alla Bolognese What is the main ingredient? Meat: Beef or veal is typically the main ingredient in a Bolognese sauce, whether ground or diced. Pork, in the form of pancetta, bacon, or even ground pork, adds fat and salt. 3. Tomatoes: Tomatoes are a more modern addition to Bolognese. |
It is so sad what Buhari and APC government have reduced Nigerian citizens into. Having arguments over how much petrol/ fuel is being dispensed in areas of the country. Having arguments over whether petrol stations are filling Stations or fueling stations? This fuel crisis has been on for close to three months now and we are all so docile and submissive over the issue as if it is a freaking normal thing? It is so saddening what Buhari and APC have reduced this country to. A country of docile Imbeciles, ready to accept whatever Buhari and APC gives us as policy. |
First of all RIP to Bonlanle Raheem. However what kind of wishy washy report is this. No name of the killer. No names of the two members of his team. Or is ASP his name? This is how this Hundeyin guy goes around defending and justifying all kinds of injustice. As a police PRO you are supposed to give us the full names of all the members of that patrol team and their proper ranks. |
makeitijn:Then you have a good basis to go to court. |
obalola007:This is a very crucial point. The specification on the carton. |
I am not a Wike fan but that Elimgbu/Tank/Rumukurushi flyover is a welcome development as it will free that area from the excruciating traffic jam that residents of that area have suffered for years. Unfortunately this good gesture got lost in Governor Wike playing politics and giving out his designer jacket. |
nony43:Yes. |
nony43:1500-5000 Naira depending on the size of the luggage. I have always done this while travelling to Heathrow and not once has my luggage been broached. I might have been lucky but it is better to be safe than sorry. |
nony43:Before checking in tell the FAAN officials at the counter that you want to wrap your bags that are going into the plane's haul. They will direct you. The wrapping machines are in the departure halls. It may not be completely fool proof but it can be a deterrent to criminals who need to breach luggage fast. |
Always nylon wrap your bags before travelling out or returning to Nigeria. It costs between 2,000 Naira to 5000 Naira. When your zipper on your bag is completely exposed they only need a bic pen to breach your bag. Nylon wrapping scares the criminals away because it will take them time to cut through the nylon and time is something they don't have. |
grandstar:There is a rich history of people who were very old members of this forum and suddenly decided to go rogue. Inspiredm was an old member in the auto section who decided to go rogue and take off with people's money. Wunmi Allen was another one who was an old member and suddenly decided to scam lots of members. In my opinion the only sure way is a face to face transaction and even that is not fool proof. |
Napata77:He said it. Watch the video. |
However I bought petrol/fuel for 285 Naira a litre in my car after an exasperating queue. Bought 5000 in my car and 5000 in my keg/gallon.. I will be injecting 5 litres from the keg into my car when the 5000 Naira petrol goes down. The situation under this APC government is terrible. I am just waiting till February to do the needful. |
