It is obvious that the OP had her hidden agenda for opening this thread, which was to revive and invigorate the feminists versus the anti feminists internet warfare. It is good to see that the moderators have seen through her and refused to yeild to her appeal for the thread to be closed. |
23 Quotes From Feminists That Will Make You Rethink Feminism By Jake Fillis • Shutterstock I feel that ‘man-hating’ is an honorable and viable political act, that the oppressed have a right to class-hatred against the class that is oppressing them. Robin Morgan, Ms. Magazine Editor The nuclear family must be destroyed… Whatever its ultimate meaning, the break-up of families now is an objectively revolutionary process. Linda Gordon I want to see a man beaten to a bloody pulp with a high-heel shoved in his mouth, like an apple in the mouth of a pig. Andrea Dworkin Since marriage constitutes slavery for women, it is clear that the women’s movement must concentrate on attacking this institution. Freedom for women cannot be won without the abolition of marriage. Sheila Cronin, the leader of the feminist organization NOW Marriage as an institution developed from rape as a practice. Andrea Dworkin The institution of sexual intercourse is anti-feminist. Ti-Grace Atkinson Rape is nothing more or less than a conscious process of intimidation by which all men keep all women in a state of fear. Susan Brownmiller, Against Our Will p.6 When a woman reaches ****** with a man she is only collaborating with the patriarchal system, eroticizing her own oppression. Sheila Jeffrys Politically, I call it rape whenever a woman has sex and feels violated. Catherine MacKinnon The more famous and powerful I get the more power I have to hurt men. Sharon Stone Ninety-five percent of women’s experiences are about being a victim. Or about being an underdog, or having to survive… women didn’t go to Vietnam and blow things up. They are not Rambo. Jodie Foster, quoted in The New York Times Magazine The proportion of men must be reduced to and maintained at approximately 10% of the human race. Sally Miller Gearhart, in The Future – If There Is One – Is Female And if the professional rapist is to be separated from the average dominant heterosexual (male), it may be mainly a quantitative difference. Susan Griffin, Rape: The All-American Crime If life is to survive on this planet, there must be a decontamination of the Earth. I think this will be accompanied by an evolutionary process that will result in a drastic reduction of the population of males. Mary Daly If anyone is prosecuted for filing a false report, then victims of real attacks will be less likely to report them. David Angier Men who are unjustly accused of rape can sometimes gain from the experience. Catherine Comins As long as some men use physical force to subjugate females, all men need not. The knowledge that some men do suffices to threaten all women. He can beat or kill the woman he claims to love; he can rape women…he can sexually molest his daughters… THE VAST MAJORITY OF MEN IN THE WORLD DO ONE OR MORE OFTHE ABOVE. Marilyn French I believe that women have a capacity for understanding and compassion which man structurally does not have, does not have it because he cannot have it. He’s just incapable of it. Barbara Jordan, former Congresswoman Probably the only place where a man can feel really secure is in a maximum security prison, except for the imminent threat of release. Germaine Greer Man-hating is everywhere, but everywhere it is twisted and transformed, disguised, tranquilized, and qualified. It coexists, never peacefully, with the love, desire, respect, and need women also feel for men. Always man-hating is shadowed by its milder, more diplomatic and doubtful twin, ambivalence. Judith Levine Women have their faults / men have only two: / everything they say / everything they do. Popular Feminist Graffiti We are taught, encouraged, moulded by and lulled into accepting a range of false notions about the family. As a source of some of our most profound experiences, it continues to be such an integral part of our emotional lives that it appears beyond criticism. Yet hiding from the truth of family life leaves women and children vulnerable. As far as I am concerned, there are no real feminists on this forum in any form. All we have are fake feminists masquerading as internet warriors, who want to have their cake and eat it too. |
tess1:Hmm. How has he contributed seven goals? How many games has he played for United and how many hoals has he scored? And gor goodness sake stop quotong figures ftom that mickey mouse Ligue one. You may love Radamel Falcao, but I love Manchester United. I have no other club so I will say what I frel benefits the club and not the player. Right now Falcao is a passenger amd should take his rightful place on the bench while young James Wilson starts. |
Purist:NO! |
Give him a man to boy talk and warn him of the danger of taking what does not belong to you. Explain the implication of stealing. Teach him to ask is better than to steal. DO NOT TELL THE MOTHER. Give him a second chance. |
tess1:It appears you conveniently forgot a certain biting incident at the World cup that led to the suspension of a ceryain Mr Suarez. And by the way,how has a thread about Manchester United suddenly delved to become about Suarez, who is not and jas never beem a United player. Falcao is living on past glory and that is why Momaco got rid of him as soon as they could and United picked up a dud cheque. By the way this is a player that no one is sure of his real agr. |
tess1:Stop this your clutching at straws argument. Can you compare the performance of Suarez at Barcelona with the performance of Falcao at United? Look at the body language of the two players. Suarez is performing while Falcao looks lost. Any way lets watch Falcao against Stoke in a few days then we can come back to argue if he is worthy of being paid 265,000 pounds a week. |
dopeJemi:Okay ooo. Lets see what he does against Shawcross and Stoke. |
dopeJemi:At 265k a week,he needs to hit the ground running. His body language on the pitch does not imply he can do this. He might score the odd one or two goals here or there, but in the end he is not what United need now to teturn to dominance. I cant see him being at OT next seadon. This loan deal has fiasco written all over iy from day one. |
elampiro:This is rich, coming from someone who believed and insisted United should keep faith with calamity David Moyes last season. |
elampiro:Calculate the goals this guy has scored and tell me he is worth that ton of dough. |
^^^ 265k a week for what? |
Man Utd sign Falcao on loan for £6m 2 September 2014 Updated 00:31 GMT By Simon Stone - BBC Sport Manchester United have signed Colombia striker Radamel Falcao in a £6m season-long loan deal from Monaco. Falcao had been linked during the summer with a move away from the French Ligue 1 side, whom he joined for £50m in May 2013. The 28-year-old scored 11 goals in 20 league appearances for Monaco, and two in three games this season. Falcao was United's second deadline-day arrival after the £13.8m signing of Daley Blind from Ajax. The versatile Netherlands international, 24, has signed a four-year deal with United. Falcao's move, meanwhile, includes an option for United to buy him for £43.5m at the end of the loan spell. The player will earn approximately £265,000-a-week, while it is not thought Monaco are paying part of his wages. The striker told his new club's website: "Manchester United is the biggest club in the world and is clearly determined to get back to the top. "I am looking forward to working with Louis van Gaal and contributing to the team's success at this very exciting period in the club's history." United, like most of Europe's top clubs, had been made aware of Falcao's availability over the past 48 hours. Premier League champions Manchester City opted against pursuing a deal as they could not make space in their squad for the Colombian. |
coogar:We loaned out Chicharito to make way for this has been called Falcao. Thats the plain truth. |
coogar:You guys are funny and living on hope. The hope that the Falcao deal will not end as a fiasco. If Falcao was as lethal as he ised to be would Monaco loan him out to United? This guy has been living on past glory and past reputation. He has used that past reputation to engineer this loan move to United. I bet Van Gaal jas seen through him but just has to playhim because of the money involved, quite similar to the Brown Ideye situation at WBA. |
elampiro:The brutal truth is that Falcao is NOT the player he once was. He is slow, finds it difficult to control the first ball, and constantly gives the ball away to opponents. He constantly falls to the ground and is apparently lacking in fitness and confidence. I just can't see Van Gaal approving a permanent deal if he continues with such poor goal scoring results. Falcao as he presently is can NOT scare any defender in the EPL. Lets be honest with ourselves. |
tess1:The rate at which Falcao falls to the turf shows a player lacking fitness and confidence on his own ability. He is just not the player he once was because his body has been ravaged by injuries. The amount of money being paid for this guys loan deal is ridiculous considering he has done practically zilch sine he arrived OT. The loan is even more annoying considering the fact that we released Welbeck and loaned out Chicharito,Nani and Zaha. Is Falcao better than what we've got on current form? I say a big fat NO. |
coogar:I do not think Falcao should start against Stoke. In his present form Ryan Shawcross will have him for breakfast, lunch and supper. |
Odunharry:That is why our draws with Villa and Spurs are annoying. We should have cut down the gap a lot more. Now we got a tough, tough visit to Stoke where we NEED to pick up three points. Does Van Gaal persist with the ineffective Falcao or turn to rookie James Wilson? |
coogar:Coogar, What I am simply saying is that for the amount of dough this Falcao loan deal is costing Manchester United this guy should be sticking the ball in the back of of the net more regularly. If I was A defender of a vlub facing Falcao in his current form I would be pretty confident I could keep him quiet for 90 minutes. |
SailorXY:My friend, Falcao was signed on loan to score goals. Has he done his job? Please can I know how many goals Falcao has scored since he arrived? So where is the fear factor?I don't sre any. |
MrTA:Signing Falcao would be a bloody waste of money. Chicharito would put away all the chances Falcao is squandering. We need to bring him back when his loan expires. Falcao was once one of the most feared strikers in the world but right now he is a liability and a passenger on the field. |
coogar:I don't think Falcao gives any fear factor when he is falling on the turf half the time and kicking the turf instead of the ball the other half. If Falcao wants to be signed,he needs to start doing his job and sticking the damn ball in the back of the net. Right now Falcao is a shortage and when he plays its like we have a shortage of one man. |
I think we dropped another two points today. We should have put this game to bed in the first half. Rooney,Van Persie and Mata should have scored. And why os Falcao always on the turf? Appears he is not fit. I wouldn't recommend him being signed at the end of the season. De Gea,Carrick,Mata,Young and Valencia were solid as usual, but in all honesty we got to be putting games like this to bed especially as I feel Chelsea may slip up today |
I think Manchester United and Van Gaal are begining to get it right. Now if we could just get the tight result at White Hart Lane it could be the catalyst to jump start our season and blast us into the new year. As good as Chelsea and Mourinho are,I still believe they will slip up somewhere along the line and will be caught. But first things first. Spurs.. |
TheMadame:Wishing you the same ma. Hope to vote wisely. Voting for change 2015. |
TheMadame:The madame, Tpia is a terror on these threads. She needs an iron hand. However because of your appeal,I will let it rest. However warn her please. |
zeb04:Love is indeed blind. I have been chasing Tpia for ages, but she ignores me and is chasing after Mr Coogar, who wouldn't give her the time of the day. Actually I find middle aged, overweight ladies quite sexy and appealing. Tpia, please give me a chance. I've got a big fat Anaconda waiting for you, just holla and I'll be there on the double. |
MMotimo:A reasonable approach to marriage. Kudos. |
TheMadame:Themadame, Lovely contribution. Marriage is certainly not a competition between two people. It os a loint venture. Impressive. |
