Why are we even having this argument? We all wanted United to win and go through to the next round. In the end we won, even if we played badly and went through. In my opinion, end of story. Players have been cheating for ages to gain an advantage for their teams.I am sure there is no player who would not try to work a situation to his teams advantage in a world cup final including Ronaldo and Messi. It is the way of the game. Players tryto steal inches on free kicks and even corner kicks. Players who are not touched at all,go down clutching their faces and screaming as if pole axed in order to get an opponent sent off in order to gain advantage for their team. It is part of the technicalities of the game. I am one of the greatest critics of Van Gaals United team, but yesterday night we won the goddam game. Rooney may have cheated to win that penalty kick BUT he still had to pick himself up and put the ball into the back of the net. What if he had missed. These things even themselves out through the course of the season. Lets be happy we won. |
coogar:Lets get past Preston first. One game at a time oooo. |
With Van Persie injured, this is Falcaos chance to shine and prove he deserves all the money he is being paid. I reiterate that these are ties United should be winning comfortably, but becauseof Van Gaals mad scientist tinkering,we are all scared and unsure of what will happen. I repeat these bread and butter games are what we should be winning comfortably and easily. So why are we scared and worried. We are better than Preston 99.9% of the time. I am expecting a clear victory here. |
While I am not impressed with Van Gaals mad scientist coaching. We have to be beating teams like Preston,no matter what eleven don the jersey. I am 100% confident we have to be drubbing teams like Preston and I know Van Gaal knows this too. |
coogar:We should be able to defeat Preston,no matter who plays where. We are United for Godssakes and we are playing League one opponents here. If we lose this one, then the wheels could start to come off a bit. Got my fingers crossed and I am expecting a victory. |
As bad as we are playing right now,we certainly should be able to get past Preston Northend without a replay at Old Trafford? Fingers crossed. |
All those nonsensical threads by tpia/tpiah. Sometimes it is tpia1-tpiaonebillion. OR tpiaa-tpiaz. She breaks all the rules and nothing happens to her,and she keeps on opening irrelevant threads with her multi monikers. There is more than meets the eye concerning this character. |
That AIT documentary is a disgrace to documentaries the world over. It is full of lies and half truths in order to sway voters to vote against General Buhari. General Buhari is not a saint, neither is he a perfect human being but in a contest between him and President Jonathan,I would cast my vote for the General everytime because Nigeria needs a man who can fight and curb corruption in high and low places. Nigeria needs a man who is courageous enough to clean up the military and get our soldiers properly equiped and motivated to proactively fight and defeat Boko Haram and the insurgency raging in the North East of the country. Nigeria needs a man to get our refineries working again and to clean up the fuel subsidy scam going on in this country. Electric companies must be made to function and General Buhari gives me utmost confidence that these things van work. |
chrisley024:Is it not reason enough? In ordinary everyday life,if the director of a company/organisation sees his company going to ruin, would he 1.Sit on his fanny and continue to scribble in his red folder and expect a miracle OR 2.Get up from his seat, and start issuing some practical orders to reorganise and make adjustments to his organisation? |
Last night was horrible and disjointed, but at least we won and put three points in the bag. It isn't the fact that our play is disjointed and uninspiring but that the players appear not to understand the tactics or can not express the tactics on match days. And the most annoying thing is Van Gaal just sits there clutching his clipboard and scribbling heaven knows what, instead of going to the touch line to dish out instructions to his players. And by the way Falcao just has to go. How does he justify that 265 k with such limp performances? |
A mad scientist with a clipboard at work. Just hoping and praying we win with ease tonight. |
chrisley024:He can't continue to play Van Persie,Rooney and Falcao at once in the same team. He should get on his feet and bark out instructions to organise his team when things are going wrong and do less of his mad scientist scribblings in his note pad. |
What I can't understand about this dominating possession and no end result from the strikers. Falcao keeps falling all over the place. The goal he missed is suposed to be bread and butter to a striker of his "class". And he has to hit the damn target and at least make the keeper Adrian work. Van Persie too missed a sitter he should be putting away but at least he forced a save from the keeper. And why doesn't Louis Van Gaal ever get off his fat arze and come to the touch line to organise or reorganise his team? All coaches do it except him and it reeks of arrogance. He just sits there scibbling his mad scientist theories in his note pad before deciding to play more playerdout of position in the next match. |
I think the real problem with this team is that we've got an arrogant mad hatter scientist in charge, tinkering with the team. Wtf is the point of having 65-70% of possession if your strikers are not putting the ball in the back of the net. What is the point of dominatong possession if at the end you are gonna go Stoke-esque and hoff the ball to bean pole Felliani ala Peter Crouch? Why not start Felliani from the get go and lets huff the ball to him if thats the only way to get goals. Van Gaal should realise there is no way he can keep on playing Van Persie,Falcao and Rooney at the same time. One or two of them have to drop out for the team to function. Valencia is played out of podition ditto di Maria and Rooney. These experiments are gonna end badly if we miss ouy on Champions league football again. |
thewarrior72:My brother this is unfair. Let us learn to debate/argue,without personal insults. |
chocolateme:Why have you found it difficult to mention the name of the bank and the name of the branch where this atrocity took place? |
Tpiah obsession, Stop breaking rule 19. I am gonna be reporting you to a mod henceforth. Using your uncountable monikers to post and spam the threads. Hope you ain't a troll ![]() 19. Don't create a new account when banned for breaking a rule. If you do, make sure we don't find out. |

This is how the June 1993 Abiola/Tofa election was annulled. We have been along this road before. I feel a total sense of deja vu. Juxtapose Edwin Clark and his group with Arthur Nzeribe/Daniel Kanu with their group ABN. In the next few days, expect more sponsored court cases against INEC and Jega in order to scuttle the out come of the elections in order to work towards the predetermined result of an interim government arrangement ala Shonekan. Jega might even be arrested ala Prof Humphrey Nwosu. Like I said this is history repeating itself, because we have refused to learn from our past. Many of these fat cats are scared for the fate of their corrupt investment under a Buhari presidency. |
All young footballers who join an academy usually pay a registration fee. This usually covers the cost of jerseys and coaching and mentoring. Some academies even charge fees to link players with foreign clubs. |
Naa waa ooo. This is highly unacceptable. Where are all his colleagues? Couldn't they take a day off from following politicians and pay respect to their fallen colleague and a fine actor? Are Bob Manuel and Zulu Adigwe his only colleagues? Where are the actors and directors guilds? Do they still have their heads up the politicians backsides chasing Naira and Dollars? This is a sad representation of Nollywood and a shame full disgrace. RIP Muna. Sleep well. |
Elections must hold on the 14th of February 2015. General Buhari will win quite convincingly and will be sworn in accordingly on May 29th 2015. Any attempt by Mr Jonathan to scuttle the polls and not accept the will of the people of Nigeria is a recipe for chaos, that will equally consume all of us. Mr Jonathan should do the right thing and honourably accept the glaring defeat staring him in the eye and hand over to his successor. |
General Buhari will restore pride, honour, dignity and glory to our nation, after years of the locusts under Mr Jonathan. The people's General,it would be a great honour to allow me to call you My President from February 14th 2015. |
tpiah1billion to tpiah99 to tpiah01,all on one thread. Breaking all the rules repeatedly without ban. Yet those protesting against fraud in the auto section are issued bans of up to a year plus. Hmmm. All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others abi? |
General Buhari should face off with Mr Jonathan. We want to hear him push across his programme/points. However if he in his wisdom decides not to debate Mr Jonathan,I am still going to vote for General Buhari. Anything is better than the current clueless/corrupt government, which has allowed Boko Haram terrorists annex large parts of the country. My fear is that four mpre years of Mr Jonathan means Boko Haram could/would annex half of Nigeria before his second term is up. |

Touching story. The movement for change continues to sweep across this country like a raging wild fire. No one can stop a movement whose time has come. |
On February 14th 2015,we the people will get our PVC's and troop out to massively vote for a decorated General of the people as the new President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. From May. 29th 2015,corrupt squealers and Goebels like Okupe and Omokri will be sent to where they truely belong-JAIL. |
