I just love seeing Liverpool lose games. It's just so extra special when they lose to United. Looking forward to a good week at the office. On the other hand, long may this winning run last.Hope we just keep grinding out the results as we take each game at a time. As long as we keep winning anything can happen in this race and I am sure Citeh and Chelsea are still gonna drop a couple of points along the way. |
^^ The fact is that Olanrewaju was carrying out the orders from above, but when the sh1t hit the fan he was left carrying the problem on his own. The Comptroller general was not ready to lose his seat so he pushed Olanrewaju in front of the moving train. This is a lesson to everybody in positions of authority. When sentt on a sucide mission, try and execute the mission with your number six. Always count your teeth with your tongue. So pleasee let us be careful to allow the new Comptroller Adegoke to clear all the goods out of the sheds by cooperating with hiim. Thank you. Am out from this thread. |
Please people should take things easy. There is a serious congestion at the airport with goods strewn all over the tarmac. The Comptroller generalbwas mad at Comptroller Olanrewaju when he saw the extent of the congestion on that tarmac. So we need to give the new man Adegoke a lot of time to see how he can unravel the puzzle. Entries must be passed before all those goods on the tarmac can be removed from the airport. Please patience is needed seriously so that the new man can serve us better. I am sure once the sheds. are open the vustoms will work through out the weekend to try and clear this mess. peace. |
^^ Who knows why anything happens in Nigeria? The Comptroller general of customs Dikko Inde rules the place like his personal fiefdom. Maybe he grew tired of Olanrewajus excesses. Maybe he felt he couldn't work with the agents after the current shut down. Maybe he used and dumped him? I have no pity for Olanrewaju. He stabbed his colleague in the back to get that job. He was sent on a slaves mission and could have carried.it out like free born but choose to carru it out like a slave and totally alienated everybody. |
The rumoured new Comptroller is one Comptroller Adewole. Before anyone rejoices,he is rumoured to be tougher, more difficult and stricter than the out going Olanrewaju. More details will emerge after the Customs officers parade scheduled to take place tomorrow at 0700 hours. That is where it is rumoured that Olanrewaju will hand over to Adewole. Fingers crossed. |
^^ Honestly that MAITEMA,guy illiteracy no get equal on this thread. The ignorance makes you wonder how some of them became importers self. Imagine leaving your house to go to another house to gather information from a house boy in the other house about the activities of the owner of the house where you are living. Finally stop deluding yourselves. There is no way that airport can be opened tomorrow. Expect it to open by Tuesday or wwednesday hopefully. |
Those who want to import cargo through the airport can route the cargo through the International airport arrival hall as an alternative. As I speak cargo can come in through the International airport arrival hall. The agents there are not affected by the closure of the cargo sheds. My tuppence for those intending to bring in cargo. |
^^ Congratulations,Mr Millionaire. How can I be in competition with you?Arewe doing the same job? My grouse with you is that you are sitting on your arze in the UK,misleading importers on this thread with categorical statements about opening of the airport. In one of your posts you said NAGAFF,would declare a customs airport open. Immediately you made that post I knew you were ignorant and I had to set you right to stop misleading people here. You have flip flopped about the reopening of the airport from friday to Saturday and now to monday making categorical statements as if you are Commpt Oolanrewaju himself. Monday will soon be here and you will flip flop again. So you are now relying on your NAGAFF agent for information. I laugh again. Is it agents that can not even cross the gate of the airport that you are relying on for information? Finally I will have you know that 90%of the so called agents in that airport are touts. Those that have licenses approved by.the customs are. not up to 10% of those operating in the airports. This is one of the things Olanrewaju is trying to stamp out. Getting rid of touts claiming to be agents. |
^^ Read my reply on page 4. That. is my honest opinion as an insider. With Olanrewaju, what you see is NOT what you get. The agents may meet his demands on monday and on Tuesday he may shift the goal posts or make extra demands. We need to understand that this man is an egotistical personality. You can never know where you stand with him. This is a battle for supremacy between him and almost all the agencies in the airport. He is determined to prove he is in charge. May God help us. When I left the airport today Two Customs Armoured personal carriers were still parked in front of Nahcco warehouse gates. Do the math. |
^^ I am sorry, but with me you only get facts and the truth. I work at the airport and I am also feeling the adverse effects of the closure of the airport, but I can not tell lies. Majority of genuine workers at the airport including customs officers are not in support of Olanrewaju but take it from me he is the only one with the authority to open the airport except his superiors in Abuja over rule him. He came to his office at three in the afternoon today and he did not meet with the agents nor the management of any of the warehouses. So. even expectting the airport to be opened by monday is a serious long shot. People are suffering. Goods have beenn depposited by planes in the oppen on the tarmac to the extent that goods now lay strewn across the tarmac to thee fire stationn. If you know the airport well you can understand the picture I am painting. We are looking at serious congestion whenever the airpport is opened. By that ttime importers will pay anything Olanrewaju wants to get their cargo out of the airport. Are Nahco and Sahcol management going to be able to handle this congestion? I personally feel tuesday/Wednesday next week is the most realistic day we can expect the airport to open. Caveatemptor:^^ I am sorry, but with me you only get facts and the truth. Thank you @ ZACHIE, you are truly on ground as per airport matters. Let them continue listening to someone in the UK while we. that are on. ground in the airport are being called harbingers of bad news because we are tellinng the truth. As I am posting Olarenwaju who will open the airport is. not even in the office. The current bennch mark is 50 thousand but Olanrewaju is trying to jerk it up to 100 thousand. NAGAFF to open customms airport. I laugh. in clearing agent language. . |
^^ You could have cooled down and read my complete post. Go back and read it again slowly then let it sink in. I am one of the greatest critics of Olanrewaju. Go and read my posts from the begining of this thread. 1 . Olanrewaju does not want agents in the bulk breaking area where he accuses them of stuffing extra unmanifested cargo into pallets and as such short charging the government(and himself.) 2.Agents claim Nahco and Sahcol do not have enough equipment/forklifts and manual labourers to clear cargo from the bulk breaking area hence their agents/acolytes have yo be in the bulk breaking arra. 3.Neither NAGAFF or ANCLA has ANY power to open a customs cargo area. They are mere agents bodies. 4.As I am typing this I am in the airport and everywhere is still sealed. Olanrewaju hiimself has not even arrived the office. |
^^ This is a funny post.. My friend I work at the airport too and my daily bread is affected. Why blame me for telling you the true situation on the ground? You wanna hear feel good stories and not the true situation go ahead and decieve yourself. So NAGAFF is giving orders for the customs airport to be opened? Who is NAGAFF in the scheme of clearing in Nigeria? They are far behind ANCLA. Olanrewaju has stated that the airport will not be opened except the agents sign an agreement that they will not go near the bulk breaking area. Nahco and Sahcol are also to show him they have enough equipment/forklifts and labourers to clear the tarmac of cargo. That is the true situation as at this morning. You can take it or leave it but I will speak the truth. |
MAITEMA: |
While this war between the clearing agents and Olanrewaju goes on the poor importers are gonna suffer because- 1. All the sheds are shut. So if your cargo is consigned to Sahcol,Nahco or Nahco courier the goods will remain on the airport TARMAC where rain and sun will continue to bear down on them. Goods on yhe TARMAC are under the care of the gods any thing could happen to them in the night. 2.Those whose goods were already inside the sheds before the shut down of the airport will incur and MUST pay demurrage to the handlers. Either way the importers are the losers in this battle to masturb@te the egos of Olanrewaju and the agents. |
bigtt76:Customs is under the finance ministry and not internal affairs. Like I said most of the airport correspondents/journalists rely on Olanrewaju for hand outs. They will write what he wants. |
@ZACHIE, You are well informed of goings on at the Airport. At the International Wing of the Airport, this same comptroller Olarewaju set up an operation seat made up of his boys to collect both revenue for government and for himself. No cargo leaves the International wing arrival hall except sanctioned by his operation seat which in the end slows down trade facilitation. |
bigtt76:Depends on the story Olarewaju has fed Abuja customs HQ. The Sahcol and NAHCO courier sheds might be opened next week but NAHCO where the riots took place might be closed for a long time. It is up to the agents to take their case against Olarewaju to Abuja or else they are on a long thing. |
Nigeria has no culture of pipe smoking,so what these local traders do is open a tin of tobacco and skillfully wrap it in Rizzla paper as cigarettes for smoking. The local mallam that sells cigarettes in the kiosk has the complete paraphernalia. So OP,that thing in the picture is NOT Marijuana/Indian Hemp/weed but a tobacco called Erinmore or Captain Black. In local parlance it is also called Jedi. |
I think tpia suffers from persistent sexual depression. She is in her middle age,she is overweight, and she is lonely. Nothing that a big fat anaconda couldn't solve. She needs to release all that frustration. |
The problem at the Murtala Muhammed International airport is that the clearing agents do not feel that Comptroller Taju Olarewaju is honest with his so called reforms that are actually being tailored by him to line and fatten his pockets. Reforms should be genuine and promulgated with a sincere heart. However where reforms are tailored and streamlined in such a draconian and selfish way such that everything ends in your pocket will lead to resentment and the kind of riots witnessed last week. Comptroller Olarewaju wants to boost Government revenue and at the same time boost his personal pocket resulting in double taxation for clearing agents at the airport.. This is clearly unfair. The riot was quelled by the Federal operations unit but. the deep. seated anger and pent up frustration remains in the minds of the agents. |
Na waaa oooo. |
Haaa! See advice ooo. |
Still digging in the crates. This section used to be fun. |
By the way Tpia,I wanna cheat on my future wife with you, then we can come on Nairaland and share our experience for all and sundry. |
Yomieluv:What if your wife cheats on you first? |
Tpia, darling, Would you please cheat with me? Middle aged broads like you are my fetishism. |
Digging in the crates. Interesting thread. |
Lets give the old broad a standing ovation, for doing what no one has ever done before. Very unique achievement.... Now what else does she want? An olympic gold medal? |
In the case I referenced above. The man attempted a temporary separation by moving out to an hotel, but the she devil located the hotel and chased the poor man to the place and attacked him in his hotel room and violently smashed up the place while screaming at the top of her voice like a banshee. May we not be unfortunate as to marry a violent woman oooo. Can I hear an amen. @OP,I suggest you find a way to temporarily seperate from your"wife", till she purges herself of her violent tongue and probably comes to her senses. |
shizzleStar:Very true. She might even grab his shirt and try to throttle him in order to elicit a violent reaction from him. She might even smash his car windscreen. I've seen such crude, violent and uncouth women in action before and it isn't a pleasant sight. |
Get yourself a lawyer and sue. This is what happens when the authorities arrest innocent people while the criminals roam theland. scott free. |
