Taich: Thank God for the Judge. Madam your generation will be blessed beyond words. If not for you this governor will keep on dribbling his people like Messi. And some people here will be taking sides even when faced with the obvious truth. All the states governors that are owing their workers should pay up because we have freedom of information now. Use it, u can verify how much your state governor collected last month and make demands through your state assembly and besides salaries must not be paid using federal allocation. This is just a case of misplaced priority. He already promised to pay in this Month before the judge petitioned him |

For all the modern tools and heavy machinery found on construction sites these days, one aspect has remained a decidedly manual labor: bricklaying. Just as they did 6000 years ago when masonry was first developed, today's bricklayers still perform their backbreaking work almost exclusively by hand. But thanks to Australian engineer, Mark Pivac, that could soon change. Pivac has developed what he claims is the world's first fully automated bricklaying robot, dubbed Hadrian (yes, like the wall). "We're at a technological nexus where a few different technologies have got to the level where it's now possible to do it," Pivac told PerthNow. "And that's what we've done." The system will first determine the location of every brick to be laid based on a 3D CAD design, then individually cuts and lays the bricks in sequence. Hadrian doesn't even need to move during the laying process as its 28-foot long boom manipulator is dextrous enough to both set the brick and slather on mortar as well. It even leaves space for pipes and wiring. The machine is reportedly capable of setting 1000 bricks an hour -- roughly a home's exterior frame every two days or about 150 homes a year -- 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Pivac hopes to further develop and then market Hadrian in Western Australia before expanding to the entire country and then the rest of the world. source : http://www.naitalk.com/ncomment.php?id=153

Jobs/Vacancies › 3 Questions A CEO Wants To Hear After An Interview by cbrass(op): 11:53pm On Jun 16, 2015 |
At the end of most job interviews, the hiring manager will turn the tables and ask, "So, do you have any questions for me?"
Most candidates use this time to learn more about salary and job requirements — but David Melancon, CEO of btr., a corporate rankings platform that focuses on holistic performance, says these are three questions that are far more important, and most people fail to ask them.
Here are the questions:
1. What qualities will a person in this role need to be successful in your company culture — as an individual and as a worker?
"This company's culture is what it is — and it's easy for a company to use their own buzz words to talk about their culture: 'hard charging,' 'hands-on,' 'mission-driven,' 'entrepreneurial,'" Melancon explains. "Often, these words describe the company leaders or refer to aspirations of the company, but they're not always easy to translate directly to every role."
Let's say you're applying to be a administrative assistant — how does "entrepreneurial" apply? Maybe you're going to be an intern in the Human Resources department and an accounting clerk — what does "mission driven" mean to your role?
"By asking about the qualities needed for success, you enable the interviewer to give you specifics that apply to yourself and your role within that culture, rather than the company line about itself," he says.
2. What's the company's position on education and development, including student loan reimbursement and tuition assistance?
You've put a lot of effort and investment into your education and it's possible — especially if this is an entry-level job — that you may not yet be making a salary commensurate with that, says Melancon.
"Some companies realize that and offer assistance in paying off student loans or assist in furthering your education," he says. "Do they have programs that allow you to continue your education? Understanding the company's point of view on education — past and future — as well as how it implements that POV in benefits is important."
3. How does the company keep employees excited, innovative, and motivated?
Companies have a vested interest in keeping their employees "on top of their game." How does this company do it? "Financial benefits such as profit sharing, merit raises, and spot bonuses can be powerful motivators," says Melancon. "But non-financial benefits such as extra days off, Summer Fridays, free meals, happy hours, and company outings are all culture-driven ways that companies keep employees feeling motivated and excited." Health › Babies Born Through C-section May Not Be Healthy (opinion ) by cbrass(op): 1:19am On Jun 12, 2015 |
How does a c-section set a baby up for health issues down the line? It may have less to do with the surgery itself and more about the benefit of vaginal delivery. Its thought that by traveling through the vagina to be born, babies are exposed to all the healthy bacteria in their mothers vagina, and that has immune-system benefits, Dr. Mary Jane Minkin, clinical professor of ob-gyn at Yale School of Medicine, tells Yahoo Parenting. Cesearean babies dont get this exposure, so they may be less protected against illness. Its important to note that Bluesteins paper only looked at studies that show correlation; it doesnt prove that being born via a cesarean is the cause of the health problems which may be because less healthy women are more likely to have cesareans in the first place. The paper calls for more research, so doctors and midwives can inform expectant moms who are considering having an elective C-section about any risks. But that begs the question: why are so many women having elective C-sections in the first place? In the United States, 2.5 percent of all cesareans are thought to be purely elective, according to Blustein. The rates are much higher in other countries around the world. In China, about 20 percent of C-sections are elective, as are 50 percent in Brazil. Meanwhile, the World Health Organization recommends that 15 percent of deliveries should be via the surgeons scalpel, reports the paper. Thats because of side effects, such as an increased risk of placenta problems during a womans next pregnancy. Also, after a C-section, 90 percent of women have a cesarean for their next deliveries, Repeat C-sections pose much more of a health risk than the initial one, says Minkin. If a baby or mother is in jeopardy, of course a C-section is warranted, says Minkin. But only an idiot would have a purely elective C-section when she and her baby are in no danger.
