The best thing for Chukwueze is to go and play the U20 world cup, country football is different from club football, he has played only 45 minutes for the Super Eagles in a friendly match, if he goes to AFCON he would mostly play as an impact substitution, which may reduce his impact, he also just has a season of top flight football under his belt. Mbappe who he is being compared to,had two seasons of top flight football before taken to the world cup. Chukwueze is a very high quality player no doubt and am writing this as one of his biggest fans

Spanish La Liga side Villarreal has told rave of the moment Samuel Chukwueze to pick between representing Nigeria at the U20 World Youth Championship or the Africa Cup of Nations ‎as they will only allow him play in one of the two tournaments, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.

Chukwueze has played for the Nigeria senior national team and also the U23s but also submitted his credentials to be registered by Nigeria U20 ahead of their campaign at the World Youth Championship.

As expected Villarreal have categorically communicated to the representatives of the 19 year old that he can only play in one of the tournaments because of the closeness of the dates between both tournaments.

This same year he will likely be pushing to represent the Nigeria U23 team in November if they are able to scale through Sudan in the final round of qualifiers for the U23 Africa Cup of Nations.

The likelihood of all of this happening plus the fact that he is expected to resume early for pre season training has made Villarreal to stand their ground leaving the decision in the hands of the Nigerian coaches to determine the team that need him most.

Only Chukwueze go play for senior team, play for U23, still play for U20 again. Why are the just transferring him left and right like this? Is there anybody in that nonsense U20 team playing at Chukwueze's level? Or because they heard he is 19, they think they can use him as they please?

This is highly disrespectful, they should stop insulting this boy's experience anyhow, he isn't meant to slave around and help them achieve feats they can't achieve with their mediocre players. Abi, was the coach blind when he was selecting players?
