Tell me one Nigerian born player I have compared to Mbappe, Ramos, Neymar and other great footballers.

komekn:
Stick to objective deductions and measured proven established facts.

Tell me one Nigerian origin player from England that has played one season of first team football that I have praised to high heavens and compared to Mbappe, Ramos, Neymar, etc. Just one player not two please.

If you can not then irrational negative bias and prejudice against Nigeria origin players in the UK including myself has TOTALLY BLINDED YOU.

And you can be called a HATER.

At 16 what great attribute of a striker did Ighalo have? Even at 20

komekn:
When we talk about potential it is the clear and apparent ATTRIBUTES required for ascendancy in the game that make us say GREAT POTENTIAL.

At 16 the attributes of a striker were apparent in Balotelli, Lukaku, Zaha, Rooney, etc

I don't see them clearly and unquestionably in Osimhen. He lacks physicality, presence to replace Ighalo. He may develop but for now l don't see them and get showed NOTHING yesterday to say he has.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by cc12(m): 7:55am On Jul 18, 2019
All these people saying Osimhen is not good, this one that one, give him time and more playing time in the Super Eagles and he would come good, Ighalo flopped for over 2years in the GWG before coming good against Cameroon in the world cup qualifiers,if Rohr hadn't continued playing Ighalo he wouldn't have started scoring for Nigeria.
Ighalo was even flopping in the Super Eagles when he was scoring for Watford in the EPL, you guys should stop sounding like Ighalo is the best striker since Yekini,Osimhen isn't yet a complete package but give him time and he would come good.

'' One season doesn't make a player'', you are very biased, but when it comes to Chukwueze and Osimhen you would never say that because they weren't born or groomed in England, always downplaying the abilities of Nigerian born players

komekn:
That's not a problem at all.

One season doesn't make a player and l have watched him since he was 16 at Tottenham up close and personal. If he goes to Germany he will clean up less physical mire team technical and not as fast as the EPL.

He had some Injury issues and had to adapt his game to suit the Manager but waa outstanding to the end of the season. Nonetheless, it's early days his Manager has gone to Newcastle do watch this space he may end up in the EPL.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/9523325/josh-onomah-mauricio-pochettino-spurs-transfer/

The same way Dominic Iorfa was with him Sheffield Wednesday.

But the player l am looking forward to seeing is Chuks Aneke.

If Rohr handled Tanzania he wouldn't have done better

Earthquake2:
How did his tactics fare him to ship in goals in the group stages and lose to Kenya despite being two goals up

If you are criticizing Rohr based on Afcon performance, you dare not mention Amunike
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by cc12(m): 2:59pm On Jul 15, 2019
I am not complaining, am just saying that I would have preferred to have a natural RB Aina in that position than a makeshift RB, am a big fan of Awaziem and also the person who posted when he made Sofascore team of the week twice in the Turkish Super Lig

Earthquake2:
Awaziem played so well against Cameroon that Rohr persisted with him against South Africa

Na everything una dey complain sef
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by cc12(m): 11:32am On Jul 15, 2019
Yeah, I was expecting Rohr to play Aina as a rightback even against South Africa

forgiveness:
I expected Rohr to bring in Aina for Awaziem instead of substituting Chukwueze.

Awaziem is good as a defender but not good as a RB. It was very glaring.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by cc12(m): 8:21am On Jul 15, 2019
How many accurate passes did Chukwueze receive in the last match?

komekn:
You use the term array of top young top quality players implied.

Outside of Chukwueze who are you talking about are you comparing them to the players in the NPFL.

Or is it in comparison to the top young talents in Europe what's your unit of measurement for top talent.

Even Chukwueze l have always said we should be very cautious with him and not put too much expectation on him. He has played one season of professional football that's all. Give him time to develop he has long way to go. Because in this match his blistering pace did not work his skills did not work and his end product and service piece delivery was non existent. The Algerians studied him in depth and completely neutralised him.

Now some will say to ask that question means Hate and negative prejudice. No not all you must compare them to too the top young talent in Europe. And add the question from that perspective.

So apart from him who are our top talented exciting young players.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by cc12(m): 8:19am On Jul 15, 2019
It's not his main wing, his main wing is the centreback wing, he play as a makeshift right back, how many centrebacks have the pace to challenge wingers? Even the goals that Algeria scored weren't from his wing, you are just downplaying his ability because he isn't an innit boy

komekn:
When l called Awaziem the weakest link some described me as being biased and negatively prejudiced towards Nigerian born players.

How can you play wing back and have no pace, that's why he plays in Turkey.

The winner of the Belgian league is not determined by only the regular season, the playoffs determines who finally wins the Belgian league

komekn:
You jumped in without looking at the context in which l looked at his goal tally. Which is only goals scored in the league competition not play offs or cup games.

In that respect Osimhen scored 11 goals in the Belguim league 2018 /19.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by cc12(m): 10:58am On Jul 04, 2019

SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by cc12(m): 9:43am On Jul 04, 2019
He scored 19 league goals

.
komekn:
How many goals did he score in the Belguim league a total of 11. He wasn't the best on that league and he is not in the top 5. He is not the best young striker in that league, he is still a very goo top player. But keep matters in context.

Cup games against mediocre opposition give the impression that you are a lot better than you are. So I take cognisance of league games not cup games.

This was a guy that was completely dead in the Bundesliga and now in his first competitive season in football you have turned him to Drogba.

He is not physically imposing he does not have anywhere near the strength of Ighalo or Onuachu. You are over exaggerating and taking players on is not his main strength. But his finishing is good. positioning and he has a good eye for goal.

Finally you can not rely on past youthful glories to decide a player is good enough for the SE.

forgiveness:
There are five CBs on the list. Balogun, Ekong, Omeruo, Awaziem and Ajayi.

One of them have to be dropped and I think it is between Awaziem and Ajayi.

Moreover, I think Rohr prefers the one who can deputise for Shehu and at the same time play the other roles.
Yeah but Awaziem is ahead of Ajayi in the pecking order of the centre backs, Rohr sees Ajayi more as a defensive midfielder
