The GTB figure is correct.

My entry level pay when I joined one downstream oil company more than 6 years ago was 163k net per month. It should be above 200k in that company today.

My friend that joined Shell around same time was earning circa 500k net per month.

Today, in the oil and gas industry, here is a rough idea about net monthly pay at entry level.

IOCS E&P (upstream) - 600k-1m

Independents E&P (upstream) - 300k - 600k

Multinational oil servicing - 300k - 500k

Tier 2/Indigenous Oil Servicing - 200k - 400k

Tier 1 Downstream - 200k - 300k

Tier 2 Downstream - 150k - 200k

Bros, my elder brother is a Senior Manager in Halliburton. I know how many people they have pulled from SLB on a particular level, and I also know the people that moved from Halliburton to SLB. On both sides they agreed Halliburton pays higher. Make ur research well. As pple that will be truthful to you.

Why are people shouting for 200k monthly pay? Do you know about Total, NLNG, Mobil, Chevron, Agip, and Shell? Among the big players in the oil and gas, Shell/Agip pays the least. Halliburton pays more than Schlumberger, but not 800k as stated above unless you are a field engineer.

The 14 million gross I quoted is for fresh graduate with 0 year experience.

I am referring to a staff employee working for one of Shell, Chevron, Exxon, Total, ENI and Addax. Contract staff can earn more or less depending on negotiation.

Graduate Doctors earn little bit above 20k/month... May be more higher when the most fortunate one gets job in oil coy.

Investment banks/stockbroking firms pay well.. heard FBN capital pays over 5m per annum for entry level ... I'm sure meristem pays over 100k ... some pay 13th month salary and there's always profit sharing..

Shell - approx. 650k monthly
ExxonMobil and Total - approx 16m-17m per annum
Schlumberger - approx. 800k monthly

The gist is, exploration and production companies pays at least 500k monthly with other benefits while servicing companies starts from 200k.

But you MUST have your masters before you can get in!

I smell that, no wonder this test is just a continuous process for the past one month now.
Chaiiiiiiii, see how these people are mocking unemployed graduate and risking their life, also wasting their limited reserved resources.
There is god ooooo... I just thank God I was unable to attend the test after they invited me as well.
