I am a young graduate. Just started work this year.

I have gone to entry level job interview, they bombarded me with practical questions. Asked me what can I offer?
Young man, telling them I am a young graduate without experience, you are on your own.

At least, you should have little experience and that is what they want not empty brain.

Shell recruitment, they asked us what is/are your achievement(s) in the past?
I'm just wondering oo,so before you got this your first job, you had no achievements in life so whenever an interviewer asked what you had to offer, you'd say nothing because you're a fresh graduatehuh I'm taking my reference from what you said o.
Anyway not everyone thinks just in a straight line like you, and stop thinking that cos of your how many months experience you automatically have a better chance that the freshers, the advert stated 0 years experience, trainee role, means they only need you to prove to them that you're trainable and offcos other employable traits, not that you should already know the technicalities of how to do their job.
Offcos they'll ask you about whatever you claim to know, on your cv.
I once attended a graduate trainee interview at a multinational and a guy rambled on trying to explain their job, the interviewers let him finish goofing then told him he should not bother trying to impress them that it's a trainee role. That was after asking him more technical questions to prove to him he had nothing to show off.

Hello Friend,
It’s my great pleasure to introduce to your humble-self a book titled “Secrete to Gainful Employment in Nigeria”.
What is this book all about: Secrete to Gainful Employment in Nigeria is a researched material that contained more than three thousand (N3, 000) valid E-mail addresses of Human Resources managers of various reputable companies across industries and sector in Nigeria. By virtue of profession I’m one of HR practitioners in Nigeria; who have assisted some fellow being in securing employment opportunities with this insightful researched work and I find it deem to inform you as well.
How does this book apply to me?
 If you have been harassed and threatened by your supervisor, line manager, unit head, team leader, Business manager, MD or CEO of your company towards sack and relief of employment contract; irrespective of your hard-work and daily stress to complete assigned task. But, he/she is not satisfied or recognize your contribution over the period with the company and still kept your under hostage, by paying you same salary without increment, reduced your salary, even employed new employee’s who is now earning higher than you. Then it’s time to say goodbye to such company, by securing a new offer that will pay you better, recognize your contribution and make you achieved your set goals this year 2017.
 Are you a Graduate looking for ample opportunity to work with a company to develop certain skills and acquire experience along the line and have been sending your CV to various emails on job advert all to no avail and what you have been receiving is invitation for Marketing/Sales rep position from either Insurance company or products sales companies i.e. GNLD. Don’t worry there is light at the end of the tunnel and brighter days ahead for you, because I was there before and I graduated year 2012. From 2012-2014 no job, all I got was insurance jobs which I rejected and depression kept me so low that I want to join Bus conducts; but God intervened . Since 2014 till date the story have changed and I bet you with this researched work within two (2) months you will come back to testify.
 Again are you a marketer, Sales Rep or Digital marketer of your company. This book will help you bring to the table of these HR’s companies the services or products your company offers through e-mail marketing and newsletter afterward as a reminder of your company services.
Have you been marginalized by your company in the way of laying you off services or terminated your employment due to Economy situation facing our Country today? And since your employment was terminated securing a new offer seem so difficult because of high level of unemployment in Nigeria.
Above all, you can get this researched book and send it to your relatives or friends who have been disturbing regarding employment opportunity in your current company, if you don’t need it; let it be a seed or blessing to them and some will remember you in due season. It also contained steps to send bulk mails and others interesting benefits.
Currently, this researched work is available in soft copy; which can be forwarded to you via E-mail or WhatsApp if you are interested.
The cost goes for one thousand (N 1,000) Nair only
For further inquiries about this researched book

Hi all. It's been really informative getting on this thread. Check out the attached clip or check out a Press Release made on 16th June on PTDF website. Some scholars (9 MSc and 8 PhD) departed for Brazil, University of Sao Paolo last week. On what basis was the selection made? Are they also 2017/2018 applicants?

"PIONEER SCHOLARS OF PTDF-UNIVERSITY OF SAO PAULO EDUCATION PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT LEAVE FOR BRAZIL

PRESS RELEASE

PIONEER SCHOLARS OF PTDF-UNIVERSITY OF SAO PAULO EDUCATION PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT LEAVE FOR BRAZIL

The first set of Nigerian scholars to benefit from the strategic partnership between the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) and the University of Sao Paulo Brazil, departed Nigeria last week to commence higher degree Studies and research in Petroleum Engineering and related courses in that university.

The scholars numbering 17 are made up of eight (cool PhD’ sand (nine) 9 Msc students. They constitute the pilot batch of the PTDF/ University of Sao Paulo strategic collaboration developed to harness the opportunities offered by the Brazilian academic system and their leadership in global oil and gas knowledge and research.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PTDF and USP was signed last year proposing to establish mutual co-operation in the conduct of academic projects in teaching, research and community service.

The historic agreement specifically provides that there will be no tuition fees applied to PTDF Scholars for the duration of their studies in the University of Sao Paulo, and this is regarded as amilestone achievement by PTDF.

At a brief induction ceremony, prior to their departure, the Executive Secretary, PTDF Dr Bello Aliyu Gusau said that, forging global partnerships in the training of PTDF Scholars will enable the Fund to continue to deliver world class education and achieve better value for money in the conduct of its programmes.

He described the pioneer set of scholars as exceptionally lucky to have the first opportunity of being exposed to one of the leading universities in the world with cutting edge technology in the oil and gas sector.

Dr. Gusau urged them to be conscious of their mission to Brazil as pioneering students of the PTDF-University of Sao Paulo strategic partnership, and should therefore be good ambassadors of Nigeria and PTDF intheir conduct.

“You must at all times be conscious of why you are there, not only are you going to represent Nigeria as a country, but you are also going to represent PTDF as pioneering studentsof an education partnership agreement. How you behave, how you conduct yourself in that country will determine the fate of this programme”.

The University of Sao Paulo is ranked among the best fifty (50) Petroleum and Sub-sea engineering institutions in the world.

The commencement of studies by PTDF scholars in the university is a major step at implementing one of the priorities of the new strategic direction agenda guiding the Fund’s capacity building interventions, which emphasizes the development of more partnerships between PTDF and foreign universities offering reduced or tuition free post graduate academic programmes.

hmmmm
Answer=
15+(5)+(1)+(0.67)+(0.33)+(0.33)
=22.33 Chocolates!!

OR

$15 = 15 chocolates
15 wraps = 5 chocolates
5wraps= 1chocolate 2 wraps
Finally wraps = 1 chocolate
The wrap from the final chocolate, will give .33 chocolate
Total no of chocolates = 15+5+1+1+0.33= 22.33 chocolates
Omo labi, iwe lari!
I didn't go through your solution but I'm sure it can't be less than correct.

Remove "almost" and you will be right.
The fact that you don't know about or get involved in tourism in Nigeria doesn't erase it's existence.
At least he was right to say almost. I know 3 very active tourism coys that organise tours every month to different amazing places you never knew existed in Nigeria and I'm an ardent lover of Nigerian tourism myself so get informed.
The industry may be upcoming but it isn't non existent.

Hello, while I respect your opinion, I am however surprised at your view.
One would have expected a better comprehension from an applicant at this stage. (no pun intended)

I have friends who turned the offer down, you could do same. No need to rebel, it is an offer and you were asked to accept Or decline hence your feedback was requested (perhaps the 'observation' word used in the letter confused you. It's just an official way of asking for acceptance / declination to progress on this occasion so someone else can be filled in or otherwise

P.S . I am not in this recruitment process and forgive any typo, I am not a n English girl.

I hope you scale through completely.
Goodluck and warm regards.

For other hopefuls, please eat well, sleep well, read more books, listen to good music, relax enough and put energy into other things. What will be would be. Cheers

For those complaining about the age.....read up! I finished my OND around 21 years old and was fortunate to get a job in a multinational company. I combined with schooling and got my B.SC from UI. By the time I finished school and was looking for another job at around 27years old, I already had OND, B.SC and five years working experience. Before you start with the 'you must have had connections' story.....let me quickly chip in that it was God and God alone. My point is this....while you sit and complain all day about how it's hard for you to make it, someone else gas already applied and gotten the next step forward. Y'all will be complaining and making it hard for God to open doors for you.

When you see a door of opportunity open before you, don't start analyzing how it's impossible for you to be a part of it. Youths of nowadays can like to complain ehn...before finishing school sef, most people have used their mouths to shut all opportunities God wants to bring their way....with their shouts of economic hardship, joblessness after graduation, lack of connections etc.
Nobody asked you!
My point is why didn't other ppl that met the requirements come here and tell us their history, carry your shoulder pad out of here.
