So i got an email from university of manitoba,they didn't offer me admission and they didn't give me any reason either, they just said they "regret", ,well i regret as well,i just wasted my hard earned money!and i don buy winter coat down o(yes, am that optimistic).And my friend wanted us to use an agent i declined, now I look like someone who has fallen victim of their own ITK

Getting a supervisor might not be that easy, cos it is one of the Universities in Canada that gets a lot of grant for one studies or another, but nothing is impossible, so i will advice you go ahead and apply to get a supervisor then take it from there

Thank you for your interest in doctoral studies with the School of Public Health and Health Systems at the University of Waterloo. I will do my best to answer your questions.

It is not necessary that you complete your Master’s studies before applying to our PhD program. It is however important that you successfully complete that program before you start studying in ours. The application deadline to apply is February 1, 2014. When you apply, you will be required to submit transcripts showing all coursework completed to date for all post-secondary institutions attended. We can make our admission decisions based on this information. Any offers of admission would then be conditional upon proof of successful Master’s completion.

Although it is not a requirement that prospective students have a supervisor lined up before they apply, it certainly does greatly improve your chances of admission. I am providing a link to our list of faculty members. I would encourage you to reach out to those who share your research interests. Include a brief (no more than 250 word) explanation of your own research interests and indicate how you might work together. Contact as many as you’d like. If you’re planning to continue your the field , you may want to consider XXXX or XXXX as possible supervisors.

Applicants from Nigeria are not required to provide proof of English Language proficiency.

We do not consider GRE scores in the admission process for programs in the School of Public Health and Health Systems. For this reason, there is no place for you to upload these documents into the application.
