RedReact: Long time brother.
Which schools are you looking at? The research capability of a school matters so much too. Have you checked ANU, UNSW, and Melbourne? Intensify on your search more.
I wouldn't know if it is my field that is making it difficult. My research field is ehealth.

Monjay: I wrote to the professor to confirm my eligibility for PhD programme. He asked me to forward my CV and transcripts, before confirming my eligibility.

Your research topic must fall under the interest of the supervisor. Search for the area of interest of your proposed supervisor. A general overview of what you intend doing (research proposal) should be enough - the topic, the research question and the intended methodology. Your supervisor will assist you in reshaping the research proposal before you submit your application.
ok,lets keep in touch

Monjay: @Cconcept,

I have not finalized with the supervisor. We are still on the process. I started by writing to the professor in charge of research programmes. He assessed my eligibility and asked me to contact some supervisors. One issue that I discovered was that our research proposal topics are always different with the research interest of the school/department. We have to align our topic to the interest of the department, and particularly to the supervisor.

Thanks
what do you mean by assessment of eligibility?
Any special style of presenting research proposal?
I am in the field of ehealth

working on it. The challenge is you have to secure a supervisor first before you can lodge an application and also trying to get my babe for a TAFE prog.

jennykadry: At a very early age I entered into a covenant for life with God and each time I would put something (in an envelop) towards it , asking God to remember my covenant with him. When i was young my parents used to give me the money for my covenant seed and when i finished school and started working, i started using my own money. I had actually just paid my covenant seed a few hours before the accident happened. God remembered my covenant with him and he kept his side of the covenant as I did mine. It's not the first time God saved me from death and it won't be the last time

Thanking you all for rejoicing with me.
hello, i have actually read one of your questions regarding the process. well, the issue with phd studies is supervison, and the reality is some professors are lazy to take on other/more students for supervision, my MBA is from an Australian university, University of SOuthern Queensland, but after studies and i wanted to do my DBA, they said no supervisor in my AOC. so i looked for a school that combined coursework + Thesis, these schools do not have a choice than to make a supervisor available to you, check University of Ballarat if they offer what you want, school is a bit pricey though lipsrsealed . my tuition is 20k per year and i have 2 and half years to go (do the math tongue )

The process is easy, some school require that you write a research proposal, but i didn't for ballarat, then all documents + transcripts sent to the Uni, in my case they all had to be notorised. thats pretty much it. offer letter-----> accept------> pay------> Coe-------> apply for visa + supporting documents.

hope this helps
thanks doctor
I wouldn't call myself an expert on these things, but having travelled alot with countless visa applications, I will say go for it. It took 4 weeks to process my application exactly.
Good luck, I really don't think $760 is a deal breaker. All the best
why dont you just get the $1000 to be on the safe side? You may not know......

As per your course, what does it entail you doing after studies? work in the lab? as what?
