Without adding your wife to the application and based on your background here, I believe you have a solid case but the moment you add your wife, it puts additional duty on you to prove that both of you would return to your home country after your program. Job tie is good but it is nothing compared with marriage tie.
I have a friends who submitted his full scholarship letter as his only means of sponsor because he really doesn't have money, and still, the embassy in Nigeria gave him 2 years VISA, so you should be OK with some good money. If your wife is staying back, let her do an affidavits stating she supports your quest for higher education abroad and how she would be taking care of herself in Nigeria. You would be able to clear lots of doubts in the minds of whoever is reviewing your document of issues such as the genuineness of your marriage, how you intend to support your family when you are away etc.You should also know that your wife would have to go through this painstaking process when finally she wants to join you and this is the only see-able drawback to leaving your wife behind.
Another option is to apply for your own study permit and include her as a dependent however, you would write an explanation letter stating that she isn't going with you now but you would want her to be able to visit you in Canada when ever occasion demands.
Whichever way you go, I believe you are good to go
