A quick question;

If one is to resume in Saskatchewan, Is it possible to book a flight to Toronto first to spend few days before sorting out accommodation in Saskatchewan.

Won't this be an issue at POE?
They won’t even ask you, at the border they may ask you your final destination which is the university/ college at Saskatchewan. Honestly less is more. If they ask you to show your ticket, then you show them (which honestly is unlikely especially because of Covid now) it’s not as if you are not going to school eventually right? My advice is always allow them to ask you before you respond, don’t go there and start answering what they never asked you. Hope this helps

My PPR Timeline

This was my second application. I first applied 11 April 2021 and was denied on 9 September 2021. So, I had to defer my admission to Fall, 2022. Upon refusal, a darling friend referred me to Nairaland and also put my through how to apply for GCMS. I had a lot of help while processing my reapplication and I'm grateful to everyone who helped.

Portal - New Portal
Reapplication - 21 April 2022
Eligibility and medical update- 4 May 2022
PPR - 3 June 2022 (6 weeks and 1 day)

Because I used the new portal and I had quite a lot of documents to submit, I had to make use of every column available. Therefore, I'm attaching screenshots of the documents I submitted and I how I made it easier for the VO to see those documents.

God, in His infinite mercy, will answer those awaiting their PPRs. Thank you.
Congratulations, very well written, thank you for sharing… it is going to help others!!!

It's a yes oo, you submitted an application which was received by the IRCC which means you have applied na, even tho you withdrew the application before a decision was made, doesn't rule out the fact that your application package wasn't received. They have the record in their system that an application for a VV was made, however not too worry since you have sent them a web form with am explanation I think you should be good.

Keep sending webforms if u don't get their reply and did they acknowledge your withdrawal of the VV application?
Thank you for replying, yes they acknowledged it.. I attached their response.

Hi everyone, thank you guys for the good work here… I used this platform before and still recommending it. I applied for my sibling, medicals just passed May 27. I was happy, but I was reading from the group recently seeing that not everyone that passed medicals was granted PPR. So I decided to review his documents again and saw we missed something. So let me share the back story.

So we applied for visitors visa in January but applied for a withdrawal since he got admission and we were applying for study permit. In the study permit form, background information 2c: the question “have you previously applied to Canada” we said no. Omo the question is actually confusing considering we withdrew the application. Anyways, we decided to send a web form explaining that we said no, although we don’t know if it’s yes, so we just telling them incase (lol confusing right?) I don’t know if anyone knows what else I should do. Thank you.

Good day my people.
Urgent suggestions needed

Please I have a concern. I lost my job 2weeks after submitting my application. In Ip1 stage now . AOR June 19. I didn't inform CIC about job loss. However I have gotten a new job but different NOC.
My dilemma is whether to submit same account number for salary as if I get ADR for POF , the new place of employment will reflect on the statement.

Then , I do not want to approach my new employer for any document as regards this journey?

If I get ADR for employment, can I just say I am unemployed?
I think you should inform CIC that you changed jobs, don't talk too much about it unless they request for extra information, i don't think you must use a present occupation to apply for PR

That should not be a problem, besides that's one of the most convenient ways of moving your funds overseas. Other seniors in the house can weigh in though
Okay, thank you i was just wondering since it may look like lump sum.... if that may be a problem

How long does it take to collect passport after passport request. I submit my passport 27th june, got a mail from vfs 28th that it had been sent, couldn't track until 29th june. Till today it still shows under processing at canadian visa office. Why so long? Does anyone have a similar problem? Thank you.

Remember they requested for another one, I had to send a mail to accra, lagos and even the case specific enquiry and after the post by someone here on nairaland on 19thjune, i sent an email to london and just London responded within 24 hours because I marked the subject as ‘!URGENT’ so if it’s important and you want a swift response, mark with urgent. Also, always reference your UCI and application number in all emails sent to them. For example

SUBJECT:
! Urgent: Information concerning Medical request

BODY OF EMAIL:
Principal Applicant:
Unique Client Identifier (UCI):
Application number:
Date of birth:
Date Received:

Thanks everyone for always sharing experiences as it helped me, I hope mine will help some of you.

• Submit a sincere application with necessary supporting documents backing up everything you say, they won’t waste your time if you’re straight to the point.
• Finally PRAYER… GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS, ITS JUST TIME AND PATIENCE.
With all these things you will succeed… I pray that God will meet you all at the point of your needs. AMEN!!!!

Please, a friend of mine just saw an update on his application that he passed medical whereas he didn't do upfront medical... What does this implies?
Also, his profile has now changed to we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility...
If your friend has applied before, then cic has the medicals, if not, just wait and see if they change it and request for medicals or they give their final decision.... Besides, i think they are having issues with their online platform.

Good morning all please can a friend help my pick up my passport at vfs?and how.
If he/she has the paper VFS gave you during your application then its fine, you can then write that your friend with ........ identification number will pick your passport, you sign and send to him/her to print (ensure he/she has the identification). Also send an email to vfs with the same attachment. Incase this doesn't answer your question, call vfs and ask them... thank you.
