I've been to some shows and watched a lot of comedy clips, where comedians make fun of the different tribes and mostly praise the Igbo's.

There was a comedy show around 2021 where the guy talking (Yoruba comedian) said exactly what you posted here and everybody just laughed at it.

So, its either the hypeman heard it from that particular show and decided to use it, or that you saw the clip and decided to show your displeasure here.

In my understanding,such statements are false,tribalistic and capable of leading to violence.

Such delicate matter should not be considered as joke because a lie repeated several times can be seen as truth ,it can set the course for violence in which the starter might not be able to contain it .

Anioma will be a full independent state in SE, they will have full control of their own resources. The scaremongering tactics of saying that SE wants their crude oil is dumb, as even in SE, Enugu state don't have Access to Imo crude oil, neither does Anambra have access to Ebonyi limestones.

Every SE state is independent of each other and manage their resources independently.
You minorities really need to make peace with staying with your fellow minorities and let Igbo speaking groups be. You can't be allowed to keep Igboland balkanized forever.

As an Anioma indigene, my dream has always been to join my kins in the south east.

The ekwumeku resistance was the beginning of the Balkanization of igbo land. The British added us to the then western region because the guerrilla warriors were traveling across the Niger to hide from the colonial British after they attack.

They British knew fully well that we are Igbos because they themselves added us to the 1903 map of Igboland.

That said any Anioma person that believes that they are Edo is free to travel there and live.

No inch of Igboland will go to outsiders.

If you read what was posted at the very beginning of the story you will see where the Jw got a documented letter of attorney rejecting blood or surgery. Is cs not surgery. He only later agreed to surgery when he sensed the threat to life and by then otilo.

JW don't reject surgery! Stop the lies! They only reject blood.He even agreed to the CS way earlier before the situation became complicated. I am not a JW neither do I have any relative that is one.Since you have decided to be uncouth and bias I'd rather not have a discuss with you.

it may be in few situation but most of the bleeding like that usually are due to complex cervical laceration or uterine laceration.Ruptured uterus usually will not bring that amount of blood to the exterior.
In most uterine rupture, it opens up directly into the peritoneal cavity (abdominal cavity and the bleeding will be internal into the peritoneum(let me say abdomen in this case).
Also the baby(fetus) will find it difficult to come out through the birth canal (because that rupture doesn't allow the womb to sustain the pressure needed to make the baby to naturally come out through the birth canal).
So in most cases of ruptured uterus only a caesarean section will be the only route for the baby to come out.
So we can say from the husband point of view as he didn't mention CS was done to deliver the baby the woman likely didn't have ruptured uterus but likely a serious laceration.
A panel should be set up to look into the matter to ascertain if there was actually any form of negligence in the case and how it can be prevented going forward.
Issue of Jehovah witness as regards blood transfusion is complex especially when it involve a high risk delivery where a baby is 3.9kg.
May God give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Mr man u are not in the profession.so u bn emotional is expected.Did u see the plenty of blood on the floor in that picture.Even without reading what the op presented the first question I will ask seeing that volume of blood on the floor in a woman on labor will be if the person was transfused with blood and also if she survived it.In medical practice once there is blood loss and quantity is much u need as a matter of urgency replace the blood which they already said they don't want and also sign a document.I understand the fact you are not in the profession or may be u don't work even in a hospital environment.
There are even situations where the hospital management as a matter of emergency obtain a legal document from the court of law and transfuse such a patient just to save the life.
I think they call it power of attorney.
It is a heart breaking situation for the patient caregiver as well as the said hospital because a life has been lost.

That blood loss is as a result of a ruptured uterus. There wouldn't have been need for such if there was proper monitoring.

Cs would have avoided this but he refused, blood transfusion would have given her a chance to live but was also refused. Delivery is a complex procedure , no one can fully predict the eventual outcome but the life savers to reduced death were refused by the man.

Are you saying what you know? Didn't you see in the chat when he agreed to CS?The only thing he refused was a blood transfusion. Her PCV was clearly Ok and she wouldn't have needed a transfusion during CS. Do you think all surgery requires a transfusion.
If she was properly monitored why would she have a ruptured uterus?

What killed this mother and child is clearly a case of medical negligence. Whether CS or vagina birth if not properly handled can lead to mortality of mother or child. May Nigeria not happen to us!

They kept administering more and more medications to stimulate contractions when they weren’t adequately monitoring the patient and fetus.

The doctor wasn’t on ground when shit hit the fan even though this was his patient and it was a scheduled induction so he knew they would be there. When you induce labor you have to know that since it’s not natural labor, the cervix may refuse to cooperate at any time and you have to be there to make sure that mom and baby can get to the OR ASAP if needed. This man didn’t refuse surgery if necessary. Why blame him?

I was induced twice and in both cases my OB/GYN was available right there to make sure everything went well. They have a surgeon on hand in case something went wrong with my induction so they could operate immediately. Both the surgeon and the anesthesiologist came and talked to me prior to induction to let me know what they plan to do in case of an emergency. I agreed and we proceeded. If anything had gone wrong, I’d have been in the OR in less than 10 mins for rescue and resuscitation. That’s a system that has their emergency routine mastered and ready to go.

This doctor induced a patient knowing that induction has risks and was in another hospital while his patient was declining. No adequate monitoring for them to even know if the baby was in distress with all the unmeasured pitocin they were pumping into mom.

I know JW have a bad rap and Nigerian men are not it sometimes. But those weren’t the reason his wife died. The hospital failed them:

It should not take hours for a doctor to come in and assess in an emergency. Every minute is crucial . This hospital system killed his wife. Not his religious belief this time

Is it stated anywhere in the write-up that she died as a result of rejecting blood? For the doctor to have agreed to go ahead with their terms he clearly knows that there are alternatives. It was clearly a case of medical negligence! How do you explain an induction that led to a ruptured uterus?

This is how people will keep losing their lives trying to uphold religious doctrines.
The long and short of this story is that they are Jehovah's Witnesses who didn't want blood transfusion and some other medical procedures in their fancy bucket list of doctrines.
They only concede in panic after the situation has degenerated, then turn around to blame the hospital.
Where I did my IT back then, we lost a colleague after her family initially rejected blood transfusion when she had an accident. By the time they agreed, her situation had gotten too bad and she died.

What ever caused the death of mother and child is clearly a case of medical negligence. The facility did not manage the case well. It is not the issue of rejection of blood or whatever!
