I'm glad we had the foresight to purchase this same sun king package last year for 83k by instalments. It sounded good to be true cos the total package was 66k outright payment but we decided to opt for instalments. The only downside is we don't really enjoy it during the rainy season........but in all, it's one of the best purchase we've ever made.
What can that 66k package power?

Hello guys, happy Sunday.
I'm kind of disturbed and I'm here to seek or know if someone has had similar problem.

Roughly 3 weeks ago, I had s*x with my girlfriend (now ex) and not too long, I started noticing these around my p†nis coming with itchiness on my laps and buttocks. Like it's really really disturbing, though the one on my p†nis cap doesn't itch, the rashes on my lap itches bad. I'm suspecting herpes but I'm not so sure. Here is a pic of it(which I'll take down soon). Does anyone have any idea what this is? If you want to insult me, you're free to do so, but it should come with a solution, please.
You come openly to tell us that you had unprotected sex in this day and age and you want us to sympathize with you? Carry your cross!

You see when people wey get sense talk, e no dey hard to know. I just jejely avoided going into argument with that 'girl' because I knew where she was heading to. From her reply, it was obvious that she regards people that live on the island with contempt. She couldn't shake off the word 'Estate' in my write-up. Little did she know that it's just our own way of saying street, hood or area. Abi e get any street for Island wey dem no tag 'Estate?'.

To further display her contempt, I made mention of 'great minds'. The thing bite am for body again. Me wey know the caliber of people wey I mingled with both on the mainland and Island.

Your summation is apt and it made me realize there are people who can relate to what I said. I just didn't have the luxury of time to exchange words with her. You see Pocohatas & that other one called Kobojunkie both of them always type like people who reason from their an*us. I too sabi wan kill them! The day I handled Kobojunkie, na since then she dey avoid me. Pocahatas, I never get her time yet. Breakfast na turn by turn. cheesy cheesy
When I created the thread,I noticed she was trying to derail it by attacking people on the island like she's got some kind of contempt for them. I just jejely avoided her. The bile in her comments was just so obvious. Without laying emphasis on the valid points I made which is the reduced standard of living by people since the subsidy removal.
She even went ahead to advice I park out from my own house because it is not a must to live on the island
If na so, we would have all left Nigeria since the government is not favourable.

Before I left the mainland few years back the light situation was nothing to write home about.
The fact that there is improvement now does not mean it won't get to other places in Nigeria. All we hope for is a better Nigeria!

At least Mainland people would see food chop. Island own is a quagmire. It would feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. No noise, no neighbour to gossip with. You go just dey inside your hot house dey think your life. grin
Most people idea of island does not go beyond Ajah.
I lived the greater part of my life on the mainland. Before the Lagos Badagry express way was constructed it was hell for people living on that axis. I could remember trekking from volks to Okoko because of the terrible roads. I visited the mainland this February and we were robbed in the traffic between Barracks gate to volks. I still have scars from that robbery episode. I get panic attacks when I remember it. We all can't live on the mainland.
With the 2nd phase of the road construction project project from Eleko junction to Abraham Adesanya the traffic issues will soon ease off. This area is gradually developing and has prospect.
My family's little investment here will still be beneficial to my children in the nearest future.

On the food aspect, people still go to Epe to restock for the month. Kara market is even closer than Epe. So living is a choice!

It is easier and faster for me when traveling outside Lagos. I'd get to my destination before anyone travelling from the mainland.

On people who choose to livie fake lives,it's their choice.
This part of the island is not as congested as people think.
We get fresh air from the ocean atleast free from the pungent gutter smell that is synonymous with 'Lagos'.

You can't move then. Since you have money to build house in Lekki Phase 4, you and your neighbours should run solar. That is the way out now because you can't manage on N500 a litre.
Solar is the way to go! But there are a lot of places that experiences epileptic power supply in Nigeria. Even on the mainland. How will people cope?

Is it really close to your office or impacting your life and career in anyway? Bad water, evil traffic , exorbitant rent, expensive services and foodstuff. Fake guys and girls. 3 people in a mini-flat...etc

I live on the island where you can sarcastically call Lekki phase 4 😀. The electricity destribution here is nothing to write home about. Infact you can count the number of hours you have light over here in a month. They bring it for few minutes each day for a couple of days towards when it is time for them to destribute the bills. People here have been generating electricity for themselves by using their generating sets.
Infact, it is no longer news that most Nigerians have lost hope in the Discos .
In the wake of the fuel subsidy removal, I discovered that the few homes who could afford fuelling their generating sets hardly do so. Even the more affluent ones that other residents rely on to charge their phones when ever they put on their Gen set have gone 😫.

Those that could confidently run their Gen all night preceding the subsidy removal only power it on for few minutes to pump water then off it goes.

The one that baffled me last night was that I looked out my window and everywhere was so dark except for the moonlight. Even a building close by that I could confidently say they have been having light all night for the past 2 years of my residing here was out of light last night. Which way Nigeria? 🤷

The standard of living of Nigerians have dropped drastically!

Abeg someone should help me calculate how much we have saved from the subsidy since May 29 let me collect my own share and know wether na solar panel and inverter I go use my own buy 😫.

Calculating.....
4 trillion x 29 days = ??

I just tire😥

Point of note. STUDENT LOAN IS NOT BY FORCE. I wonder why some people are crying all over the place. Ehish undecided

The kind of expensive phone handset most students use on campus alone......what does it justify? These are folks that have not even started working to earn a living. lol grin.
Our students are very rich, you need to enter where students rent as accommodation and see how so furnished it is.

Our students are not poor at all. Most live exhorbitant life style.

We just love complaining and complaining and complain.

How much will the tuition FG may want to introduce be, that students don't already spend as chicken change.

The student loan is for the truely poor which of course is a blessing a great opportunity.
Can the 'truely poor' meet the requirements?

You understand the situation perfectly. I'm determined to stop today, all I need is support. I just got back from the pharmacy. If this does not work by tomorrow or next, I'm going to general hospital for help. I will take all the shame and insults. I'm not angry at those insulting me here, it's because they don't understand what I went through, I actually lost my wife of 17yrs, my best friend, my other half leaving me with 3kids, I had two options then, either to run mad or go this way. At least I'm mentally stable now to fight this one, then I was almost running mad. I just didn't want to say all these in the post so as not to draw sympathy, I need the harsh truths to help me stop.
Think about the pains your children will go through loosing both parents and stop! As in,stop now! Please 🙏
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: My Abusive Boss Broke My Head And Doesn't Want To Pay Me by ceeceeuwa: 12:07pm On Jun 12, 2023
Tryagain77:
I saw a post on this forum which looks similar to mine and that inspired me into writing this to share with people how my boss (former) was abusing me.

I graduated from one of the courses in social science in one of the federal universities and have been job hunting to land a good job but to no avail.

Bills were piling up while I was going down economically. Out of hunger, lack and frustration, I settled to work as a barman in a hotel.

A week after resuming that work, the man that the hotel is leased out to started showing me his true colours. Nobody is above mistake in life. Even minor things that could have been settled without raising eyebrows, he would shout at me and abuse me right in front of customers. He would use derogatory words to describe me and say all sort of inhumane things to me, all to show that he's the boss.

Despite all that, I couldn't leave because I had no other job option at hand. For the 9 months I have worked in the place, these are the things I went through.

1. I have been verbally and physically abused by the said man. There is no kind of derogatory and inhumane word that man has not used on me and most times, right in the presence of customers and also when in the presence of the girls he brings to sleep with.

Note: this is how he behaves with all the staff, not only me.

2. He kicked me, slapped me, knocked my head, spat on me, yelled at me. Calling me a fool, an idiot, useless something etc, was no longer anything worrisome to me again because I got used to it.

3. Because of all these abuses, his friends who use to come there took advantage and started abusing me too. One slapped me the other day because I presented a bill he thought I surcharged him, which we later found out I didnt. I don't blame him actually.

4. You would work 2 months plus before you receive 1 month salary. For example, you would receive January salary between 10-15th of March.

5. Salary was N25,000 but I have never received that amount complete. He always look for something accuse me of in order to deduct our so called salary and pay less. There was a month I received N7000 as my salary.

6. Any customer that breaks a glass pays N1000 for it. When he first mentioned this in a meeting, we thought he was joking, but he was being serious. When he started deducting my salary for broken glasses, then I realized he was serious. I have never heard anything of such anywhere before. That a customer who breaks glass should pay N1000 for it.

What happened on the 23rd of May.
23rd of May was his birthday. He invited friends and celebrated. Right in his presence, one of the guests broke a glass. I'm the only one serving both the bar and guests in the room including food. So it was a very busy time for me. Just because I didn't sweep the broken glass immediately because I was busy serving people, as I wanted to pass, he shouted angrily at me, aimed me with the broken glass and broke my head. I was bleeding and I left the place to a pharmacy to treat the wound. Guess what? He was not even remorseful about it at all.

The following day I tendered a resignation letter with immediate effect. Obviously if I don't leave the place, the man may kill me or make me do something I will later regret.

Now pay me off, he's telling me I need to work again at least another one month for him to find a replacement, if I'm serious about receiving my outstanding salary or I should forget about it. Even at that, I know too well that he will pay me anything he likes, claiming glasses were broken, I did this and I did that. Presently he's looking for job seekers but nobody wants to work with such a crude person anymore. Even someone he sacked as usual over two months ago, he's not been able to replace till today.

Now I'm jobless, hungry and penniless.

I need advice on how to go about to collect my money from this man. I don't have strength for any fight with him. I just need my hard earned money but let it not be until another blood is spilled.

Story of a struggling Nigerian.
If your story is real. Go to wazobia FM Victoria island. Ask of Tombo Belle. They will call him out on "our backyard" radio program. He will pay your money including the outstandings. Take it serious!
