About Promises

I produce household sanitary products like liquid soap, Izal,airfreshner, etc.

Not long ago, I landed a supply contract with a reputable company. Because it was my first time doing business with them, they didn’t give any mobilization. That meant I had to raise the full capital myself before the deadline.

In the course of a casual chat, I mentioned my struggle to one of my customers the CEO of a hotel. I didn’t ask him for help. But he jumped up immediately and said, “I will fund it. Just issue me a post-dated cheque with 10% added.”

I was overjoyed. With the weight of providing for my family and the pressure of the business, this contract felt like a major breakthrough for us.

Two weeks to the deadline, I called him. He assured me, “Come when it’s time to buy.”
One week later: “I have you in mind. Come in 2 days to pick the cash.”

On Tuesday, the agreed day, he said, “Send your account details. I’ll transfer tonight.”
I even asked him directly, “Sir, if you can’t, please tell me now.”
He said, “I am very capable.”

That night I checked my account over 100 times. Nothing.
Wednesday I called “I’m coming from Aba with the cash. Come to the office in the evening.”
I got there by 6pm. I called till 8pm. He never picked.

The deadline was Saturday. It was too late to raise money elsewhere,as said by all the people I reached out to.
I went home and sat with my kids and we all cried.

Just like that, I lost the chance to become a major distributor for that company.

It broke me. I was at suicidal,The only thing that stopped me was thinking of my kids how would they cope? The person who linked me to the company also had his reputation damaged.

Till today, I’m still struggling to build and blaming myself for trusting a mortal, But I thank God for His grace and for life.

My plea:
If you can’t keep a promise, please don’t make it.
Silence is better than false hope.
If you truly want to help someone, keep quiet and surprise them

May God come through for you beyond your expectations!
I pray you will receive a breakthrough that will wipe away the pains of your past disappointments.

I made this prayers for you because you mentioned you kids in your post. I can't stand to see kids experience their parents heartache. For their sake,you will smile 😄

People should stop making babies until they have fully discovered how compatible they are with their intended spouse.
Stop bringing innocent children to face the strife of a broken home!

I swear i can measure 7 cups of rice and finish it in just one day and i can't still add one pound of flesh. Someone who sees me will think i'm not eating well but thats the reverse case.

This is how i eat; Because i work remotely so i'm always indoors. When i finish cooking like 11am in the Morning, i dish out the food in my plate, a huge portion. After eating that, i rest for like 30min then i go back to the Pot to dish out another portion again. After eating the second time, i rest again for like 2 hours then i go back to dish out a third portion again. Before its 6pm,the food has almost finished and i still crave for more.

Why do i eat like this? Could it be caused by boredom and idleness? Its making me spend a lot on food. 7 cups no fit last me for 2 days again. .

Funny thing is when a guy takes me out, i go just dey form. Order very small light meal. The guy will be like "will that be enough for you? Its too small na".

With your explanation,it shows you are repeating same meal all through the day. Eat less carb and increase your protein intake. More protein please,eggs,fish and meat portion should be more.

Going back to school as an undergraduate those years,my ' Ghana must go' bag was always filled with all goodies. I always had issues with those agberos at Ojota park because of my luggage . She packs Ogbono egusi,dried fish,dried pomo,stock fish,semo, dried bitter leave..all sorts. I had a blender and even a small mortar.

My friends at school always tell me that I already had all I needed In my room that all that was left was a husband. 😄.

I learnt a Facebook page was created where he was cyber bullied with people making derogatory comments about him. Same Facebook page locked their comments section when they learnt he passed away. Not everyone can withstand emotional torture.
