The dependants of those who came in with 3yrs care visa would be stranded once their visa ends after 3yrs

In that case both husband and wife would apply for sponsorship so none would be a dependent anymore and there’s no way they would send the kids back home

Pls on the application they asked for landlord details, name, address and phone number and when I moved to this city it was my relatives who helped secured and rented the place my name was not on the contract. I don’t know who else has similar issues and I don’t know if that’s gonna be an issue.

When you have passed the PoE and want to change Naria to pounds or vice versa there’s an app you can use to do that after opening a UK bank account. Though the xchanage rate might be a little high.

You don’t need to change it to cash in pounds cos I think you can not enter the UK with more than 1k£ in cash.
If you want to hold Extra, cash then you can change maybe up to 700- 800£.

If the 1270 is your PoF then let it remain in your account untill you have no passed the PoE

You don't need to write HO. Also, just fill the forms given to you as honest as possible because they will verify every details! Don't be scared to state exactly how things are. I don't think there should be an issue as long as you have passed the interview stage and already selected fir the job. All the best.

Yes I’ve been selected for the job also when filling the form they ask details of landlord, name phone number etc. The place I’m staying was rented for me by my in-laws and my name did appear on the contract don’t know if that’s an issue

Youkay here, no one will accommodate and feed you. Family members can only do little highest do it for 2 months and throw you out las last.

Please are suffering here, no job oo if your employer promises you a job, make sure it's certain o or else na street you go sleep o. If you and your family are coming over pls and pls hold plenty money, money that can last your guys for at least 3 months plus before you settle.

No body dey give anybody money for here o the only think they can give is advice and help not money.

If you are couple with no kids, shared apartment will be okay for you budget 600-800£ bills inclusive and depends on location. If you are with children, studio apartments or 1-2 bedroom will be okay but excluding bills. Rent per month arroud 800-1300£ depends on the location. Bill like Gas/Electric, water and council tax maybe around 300-400£ depends on the location.

Furthermore, no house agent would rent a house for anyone just coming in even with your 3-4 month payslip. The best bet any off license shops, you can ask or tell the shop owners that you just came in and have been staying in an Airbnb for like 2-3 months that they should help you with any landlord they know so you can rent. Or better still if you have a relative, brother, etc that has rented their own, they can help you rent yours with their details.

The Sim card they gave you at TLS you can activate it the next day or at the arrival airport. It's free for the first month and next month you get 50% off.

If you are staying in the city, first bus is the best for your mobility. Try using your Google maps to navigate your location. Bus fare 2£ per adult on trip. Day adult tickets is 6£, ticket for group 6 ppl 12£ per day. When you download the first bus App you will see all tickets prices

When you get here, first open monzo bank use your brp under 7 days your day will be delivered to you. It's the card you will use to activate the account. Or you can try Revolt they card for card delivery. Also open any high street bank like Lloyds bank, you will open the account on the web then take your brp to any of their branch for activation. Their card is free and would be sent to your address within 7 days.

Please note: coming down here, money is the most important thing to carry or hold. UK government no send anyone here if not you will suffer.

I will advice carry enough food that will last at least 5-6 months o, this is no joke. Those things you deprive yourself from eating or buying in Nigeria here you will buy it's x2 or x3.

Not that I'm trying to scare anyone, it's my own experience.

Bro, to see work for here don hard oo esp care job these days. Ive not done 1hr of job talkless o f 20hrs o. Most jobs now they say you must have a car and full UK drivers license before dem employ you some aying 6 months experience in UK setting while some go say 1-2 years experience o. Yes ive seen one that will sponsor but we are still on it.
Though i dont blame cos most people people here in youkay now all they care about is sponsorship thats why the employers now dont offer jobs to people anymore.

Good morning ogas in the house. I just came into UK late April. Visa was approved late February, came alone but was for my dependant Visa which delayed until early this month.

My training (HCA) is scheduled for June I hope the delays doesn't affect me when renewing my BRP or ILR because I've heard stories of home office monitoring people.

*Another thing is, my Nigerian passport would expire by September please when is the best time / month to renew.

Dependant for collection mail yesterday, Brp dropped today.
Biometrics: 3rd Feb, only MA did priority.
Feb 7th additional doc requested MA and one child
Feb 8 NSF mail to wife, no additional doc.
Submitted additional documents for MA and child 15th Feb
24th April MA got VISA.
After 2 paid mails after 2 weeks they replied with additional documents for wife March 28th.
Though she was ban 2008 for fake document, also her passport used then had fake DoB.
(As at 2008 she and her brother wanted to go for her sister graduation, the IV came in late so they went to design it online not knowing they would know it's fake. In the process their application got ban).
Note: while filling the application for 2023 we indicated that he was ban before, but didn't know the first passport DoB was wrong.
April 20th..2nd additional documents.
Submitted 21st.
April 28th, worksanddocuments replied that I didn't not send attachment so I replied back with same email and attachment.
May 4, collection email.
May 5 Brp mail.

When it's your time, it's your time. So many issues with wife's application but God saw us through. They requested for additional documents twice and we replied them.
But we thank God after all hurdles, midnight prayers, So many church prayers, mountains prayers and all.
At a point I tay for my wife. she won kill herself o. My people prayers no dey waste o I now see the essence. I didn't have issues at the POE, no much questions, nothing nothing.
My people God did it o. Everyone expecting theirs too please keep the hopes high. God will do it for you too.

Please when you finally arrive, always Read every documents completely before signing o.... Cos many details can save you time, stress and from trouble/police matters, especially when dealing with landlord and your employer.

Alaye, I already read it on pdf when the visa was out before I got the real letter. I'm just asking to be on a safer side.
