Aside the banking apps not working good or functioning well at certain times which can be attributed to server traffics and sorts

Who has tried to query or make this network providers seat their asses up in delivering their services to the general populace.


Aside the app problems. Normally it's mobile network providers (mtn, Airtel, GLO ) that provides and powers ussd code services. Amongst them is Mtn, this network is so useless and extremely useless on this job and they should be discontinued from hosting ussd services for banks and Nigerians. The mobile network providers are in charge and partners of ussd banking in Nigeria. And mtn having the highest share is the worst. Very unreliable and frustrating. Very useless. If you're having double sim on your phone, assuming your alert number is mtn, dial your bank code and watch the reply it will pop out.now dial this same bank code on your other sim (Airtel or GLO) and see that the code really opens and responsive.


I believe this ussd problems majors on mtn.
Nairalanders who are using other SIMs aside mtn as their bank alert number let's have your opinion. Is this stuffs actually about mtn or it's same experience on other networks?.


Having this though of changing bank primary number to other network. Maybe I'll give up if I could hear the truth here.

You're just explaining your fears. The reality is your budget can't get you a house in ikoyi or lekki or ajah. Last time I looked for a house around Surulere, I couldn't see a self con less than 500k aside agency fees. The shit is real. We're just giving you advice, many people plying mainland to island everyday wouldn't want it but they can't afford the rent on island. So brace up. Even the 400_450k budget, you'll never get a house at the mainland areas with such. You'll need to about 700k to sort agency fees nd rent for a room self con. That amount can only get you a room face me I face you only with agency fees at Yaba and surulere. Thank you

OP...take this advice especially Ebute Metta and Yaba then Surulere.....if you can get a shared apartment it will be better. Don't go and stay on the island, Ajah or after Ajah o, you will just be frustrated, the traffic is overwhelming.

In terms of traffic, coming to ikoyi from sangotedo/ajah is even better off. Just make sure you leave home before 7am. But coming from mainland to ikoyi, as early as 6am, the road and bridges had been heavily congested. Lekki-epe traffic always builds from around 8am unlike Mainland-island bridges. Take this from who plies this roads many times everyday

Even 400k aside agency fees wouldn't get you a decent self con at neighborhood mainland areas.. that amount is poor enough to get you a house within Lagos mainland town close to island.. that budget can only afford you face Me I face you one room apartment at shomolu,Yaba and surulere. As regards ikoyi proximity. Maybe you can go farther into Lagos mainland towns. Still such budget can't get you any self con even at mushin areas

Chief with this salary range, you're better off around mainland areas close to ikoyi. Like Lagos mainland and surulere. Unless you choose sangotedo part of lekki Those side you can get self con from 600k aside agency fees. A room in a shared apartment in lekki phase one and 2 is from 1.5m (agency fees not included) above depending on estates. Flats are from 2m above. Ikoyi it's self cost more compared to lekki. Self con in ajah part of lekki cost from 750k without agency fees.


Self con around surulere and Lagos mainland LGA cost from 450k without agency fees.

So make your choice. If your salary isn't above 500k pls resist every urge to stay in lekki phase 1 and 2. Unless you don't have plans to have enough money.

RIP to the dead. As regards to the above news, I want to advice us. It's pains more loosing ones loved ones through accident. Lost a very close pal few weeks ago. Travelled for new year holiday and couldn't reach village alive. If you're a driver yourself. I doubt if you'll be that comfortable travelling with this public buses. Don't know what their drivers thinks of themselves. Speeding and driving foolishly all the time. Worst being they always never die alone. The rate of road crashes are increasingly high in recent days. They'll pack people in a Poorly maintained buses and be speeding uncontrollably. There's never any expert in driving. As a driver myself I could tell you the truth, it's just grace to survive everyday on our hard scratched surface tarred express.
No matter how careful you can be, what if you hit a bad bump or pot hole on a high speed. What if you speedily climbs a hard stone at the road at , what if someone from back got distracted and ram on you, it's accident, someone by left or right hitting you by error overtaking? It's accident, a stupid and selfish korope or public bus jumping Infront of you, it's accident. aside any parts of the car causing its own mishaps. Mehn it takes a lot to live and survive in this country. People please caution your transporters on over speeding while traveling. But it seems majority passengers always want and wish for more speed. They obviously enjoy it. I call it ignorance. If you own and drive car yourself I doubt if you'll really enjoy those speed. Let me tell you guys something as a former loan officer. What these Chinese apps do is to rent an office space at ikeja. Employ any tom and dick. From secondary to undergraduate poly to undergrad uni. They don't even have employment letter. They don't have any verified ID and documentation of their workers unlike Normal company. And they are normally employed on the soldier come soldier go barracks remains the same' pattern. Once you have android phone, they'll collect your name and assign a supervisor to you. Gbam. You're employed and would be waiting for end of month to receive 45-50k.

They'll install and set up their data app on your device.

So everyday you open the app. You'll see about 100 people that there loans will expire that day on the app. You'll start disturbing and pressuring them to pay up so that you can recover big money and impress your pay master for target reach bonuses.

Everyday you'll be given a target to call nd recover money from 50-100 people with a limited amount of airtime. Like #500. ( So bad calling 100 people with 500 airtime)


So you'll start clicking and confirming any person's data you worked on so the app can identify you've spoken and worked on the case.


They'll pack them like 100 people with 'computer school' like decks in one office flat. Each with their ear phones and biro and pen.

There's no professionalism in this kind of job.

Respiration landed you in stress and debt.

All terms should always be stated in any transaction in the future.

If you don't call when a car is faulty then all expense on you.

You have the right to collect your intial 15k deposit because it is for caution not free money for the owner.

The 10k spent. Did you talk to the owner about the expensise and she said she will return it back?

I feel the owner knows all the fault and just got a gullible driver to help her do the fixing for the next person.

Sometimes it's not good to use church mind in this business. If not, u wouldn't have used your own money to fix anything more than 5k on that car.
I understand u did it so u can work and make money, but u should have cautioned yourself as d expenses gained weight.
Or maybe u agreed to share cost of repairs with partner then that's ur share of the repairs.

Secondly, depending on your agreement with him, normally caution fee is refundable if u aren't owing car owner as at the time of dropping the car. In this case were car problems started in the first day and u are dropping the car, u should get your money back. It's a good thing the car isn't in custody of owner, so just inform d mechanic or guys around that the man must give u ur money back before they allow him pick his car. That is if he is the one saying u should return d car. But if it's u that doesn't want to drive the car again...then u will have to forfeit or be at his mercy to give u back your money.

As per all other monies u spent on the side, sorry that's gone cos u didn't get any agreement that as u spend he will refund to u.

So my take is, if the car has been fixed then Use it and work and recover your money. Your rental should now start from the day u do a full days work without car issues. But if he is the one asking you to drop d car, make sure u collect your caution of 15k atleast before u hand him d keys.

I say this because many partners give out bad cars and collect caution fee even when they know the car cannot the d job.

As an addendum:
If u must drop caution fee for any car, make sure u have a mechanic check the car and certify it okay, or u do test drive just like u r buying a car, before u drop 1kobo. And u must include in your agreement that "caution fee is refundable provided u owe no outstanding to the partner"

Where my wig again? In this case the defendant is not owing you any money going by what you've written here.

1. Is the upfront payment a refundable one?
2. Did he ask you to use your money (either borrowed/gift) to fix the car and he will return it from his pocket?
3. Did you complain of transmission issue before accepting the car?
4. What kind of agreement binds both of you? I guess it is rental. This makes the owner liable to fixing the car incase of unforeseen event.

With regard to number 4. Next time, call the owner to come and pick his car wherever it got damage and don't spend a kobo of your money with the mindset of having it back. That is not your duty to do.

Verdict: The owner is not owing you unless both of you had an understanding of refund. Either you use the car to complete a trip or not is not relevant. Let's learn to flow with the clauses in agreement.

Advice: if they fix the car and it is perfect, use the car to make your money back and it is up to you, if you want to drop the car after making your money.

Note: if the car is still faulty after fixing. It becomes penny wise for you and may end up with more debts in attempt to Tiwa one.

Pls I'd need your input on a serious thing bordering me at de moment. Needed someone to hear this.

I got a Honda Accord car at abule egba(from fb)
I went to check the car. From surulere.
After testing nd inspection. The steering was strong. De owners said it was just de pressure host issue nd other small repair he highlighted. Before that he stated he's terms of 30k nd upfront payment. I accepted de 30k rentals.( I know it's high buh am desperate, I need to start hustling) went to him, begged him that I had nd could only manage to borrow 15k from people with every assurance that I'll pay them back within a week. I pleaded with him on de 15k. He accepted, I gave him de money as we went to his mechanic to fix up the car. The money was spent there and we drove back. The nxt day was this past Thursday. I brought all needed documents and we parted ways. No single fuel on de car and there was fuel scarcity already. I managed to buy 2k fuel. Used car wash 3k as de car was very dirty at same abule egba

I droved down nd reach closed to my side, this car stopped and couldn't start.

I had to borrow 2k to sort area boys who help me push to a safe corner. I parked and told him watsup.

The next day being Friday I couldn't get money from him to sort de problem out.
I had to borrow 10k. Bought engine oil (4k) as de guage was completely dry.
Car couldn't start, I had to seek rewire, he rented battery and all and was able to sort de problem out. He demanded nd settled for 5k both his workmanship nd battery
. Explained to this man on every thing. He only sent 4k that he doesn't have anything else.


I left and borrowed another 3k and hustled anoda fuel after hours on de cue.


I attempted my ist trip.

3mins drive the gear developed problem. Oil drains away like tap. Rider cancelled nd moved on.

A mechanic came and pushed to his shop. He said gear problem and only solution was to bring down gear. I explained to de owner. He was boiling and said I should find means and bring de car to abule egba from onipanu(ikorodu road). De mechanic sold old oil to me for 2k atleast I can use it to find my way before it drains as de car doesn't move when oil drops.

I enroute abule egba as instructed. De oil dried up at ojota. I had to park at ibiode garage. This was around 8/9pm.


I notified him in all this .


The nxt day was Friday.
Mechanic brought down gear. The gear box for repair. De owner earlier request I towed de car to him from ojota. I advised that even de towing money alone can repair de gear.

I took gear to ladipo nd It was charged 35k for repair.


Saturday. I went to market nd gear was repaired (although not tested till now). He sent in a total of 40k on Saturday.

Of which I used 5k for market logistics nd settlement. We finish very late. Gate pass was 1k. Area boys took 1k, cart pusher took 1.5k, and I still bought fuel 1k for repairs.


He didn't want to send in another money as he said he had nothing left on him and requested that de 5k would serve all other purpose and my logistics with de heavy gear back to ojota. I tried and contracted a bike man. I had to take risk of riding with heavy gear box on a dispatch bike.

We're owing de dispatch bike 5k of his fare to ojota at de moment. He was at ojota Tru de day but left when I could reach there with bike man. I had to money on me, I was filled with dept already. I called ,begged nd tried all I could to get 5k to settle bike man to no avail. I had to eecape nd left the scene. The mechanic nd area boys later pacify nd pleaded with de bike man to come back later that they'll collect his money from us.



Yesterday being Sunday, texted him a long message of everything nd how I'll need my money back today that as he's making plans to finish de car and retrieve it to his side that he should add my money also. 25k because I was still on de run from my street since Thursday. Imagine I borrowed money from a woman selling kiosk in my area. Dis woman practically collected all de change nd coins in her small shop to give me with every hope I'll work nd balance her in de evening as promised. But look at me now. Ive betrayed her even when she kneeled down to beg me before handing me de money.


Back to this owner. He read my text xday and no reply.

This morning I ask him how would today be.

He said he's never sure

And. I texted him again that am waiting on him to sort me my money so I can move on nd settle my bills.

He lastly replied if" I was kidding" less than hour ago.



Because I can't drive this car or have any confidence in it anymore. I've suffered already for over 4days now. All this while I sleep outside before of de issues.


Pls house how can I be bold and get my 15k deposit nd 10k loan I took for dis car.( 25k)


I've never made a dime or completed a single trip on dis car. Am just weak, hungry,dry and lost now
