Nuendo: I AM OVER-JOYED AND SO PROUD TO INFORM THIS WONDERFUL HOUSE THAT I WAS ISSUED MY T.R.V UPON VISIT TO CDHC TODAY. I WAS INSPIRED YESTERDAY BY THOSE WHO WENT TO THE CDHC AND GOT THEIR VISAS. SO I PRAYED ABOUT IT AND BASED ON THE ENCOURAGEMENT FROM THE HOUSE AND FAITH IN THE ALMIGHTY , I WAS VICTORIOUS.

I WOULD LIKE TO USE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO THANK ALL THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE, ESPECIALLY THE OGAS...!!!!!! SIGA, FHEMMMY, GBOYEGA-D , BUMDISHH, HUZZIE, JUST WISE, THE GALLANT EARTHGREENERS , 2-CHAINS , OUR CHILL-PILL CONSULTANT CHRIGO , AND MY OWN "NWANNE M NWOKE" AND PHOPHET, ONYE -OMA . OBSERVATIONS

1. I want to urge all those who are yet to apply to embrace the online route. It has an average processing time of 2-3 months max. You know your fate soon enough

2. Make sure you have your tuition and living expenses for a year at least sorted out on the statement of acc you present.

3. Your statement of purpose matters a lot. Use it as a means to buttress the reasons for your study there in canada particularly, why you would come back after studies and a explain any blank holes in your academic / life .

4. Sort out where you would do your medicals before you even get it. The consultant's practice seems faster because they don't require a pre-booked medicals.

5. This is 2013. This is the new millennium . invest in technology and information. have an internet enabled phone with a very sharp email client system . This would enable you track well and be up-to-date on current developments. This very advice is the most important.

6. Before you apply for admission or the visa, do some personal research about your destination, school, etc. Do some googling about everything possible. Also go through this forum from part 3 at least. With the wealth of experiences here. You can hardly go wrong. Some schools have a higher visa issuing rate than others because of the reputation and sheer difficulty in securing the admissions at first (unfortunately, this isn't speculation, i got this from an indian who applied from india and happens to know a thing or two about the system). If you are using the school as a means of "cutting out " from naija, cover your tracks well, and don't make it so obvious. Reading courses with no connection or relevance to your previous studies or academic history is an indication of desperation. If you however embark on such, please support your self with a passionate and very powerful statement of purpose. Give wole soyinka to write one for you if yours lacks the REQUIRED PUNCH

7. Finally , pray , pray , pray.

Because in the end, na who god want make e go canada go finally go.

laureek: It is a ghen ghen o.just got my trv.got to their office around 12 and filled the enquiry form.waited and waited but they eventually called my name around 4:10p.m to come in and it was handed over to me.so grateful to God.He is awesome.
Also to everyone who has been helpful and encouraged us all,the awaitees,Good news will continually be your portion by God's grace.
Meanwhile my visa is still being processed on the site o.The tension is real guys.A guy was called and told he should go home cos they are still working on the 22nd of may (the day I submitted).I'd advice those that did their medicals btwn 22nd-27th of July to go there if you haven't received yours.A woman submitted her application online and daughter's on the 15th of july online and was called 3days after for medicals and she collected her visa today.
That's not even up to 2months.those I met there today and got theirs have been on their neck.

But From my experience here, I think wen u returned ur passport n oda docx matters.
Even CDHC advised that Passport should be returned as soon as you're tru wit your medic.

Bro i returned ma passport on july 31. But wad matters is de time the medics was done.

I have absolutely no clue. Plus I did my medicals Jul 19 and the status on their tracking site hasn't changed.

Ma sch is MUN. To apply jst visit dia website: www.mun.ca. Then go to graduate programs. Each graduate program has dia minimum entry requirements. Checks if you meet ur desired program requirements. The process is jst straightforward# lemme know if u needs anytin#

From previous posts, I had the impression that the email from the embassy actually states that your visa has been approved. So just a bit curious 'bout the email. There's no way to know until I get to the VAC 2morrow, but before then, can anyone who has received their TRV help clarify? @Siga, @Phemmy, your comments will be really appreciated.
