oladele97:New? Still planning self |
muzzol:Yes he dealt with those pepz so also is saraki gonna deal with him |
oladele97:Point of correction. Tinubu did not orchestrate the emergence of apc as the ruling party. If you ask me I will say those pdp governors that joined apc did. Remember apc have tried with nuhu ribadu as the presidential candidate but gave up. Buhari has been trying also frm anpp to cpc but failed. Apc only won wth 2m+ margin.....calculate the number of votes they got from those ex pdp gov states. Let's be politically wise |

The Head of Sierra Leone’s National Ebola Response Centre, Pallo Conteh, has described the three new Ebola outbreaks in Freetown as a setback in the fight against Ebola in the West African country. Mr. Conteh said the new cases were expected given the nature of such epidemics, but assured that they would be managed. He said NERC on Wednesday confirmed three more cases of the virus in one of the city’s slums, Magazine Wharf, in the eastern part of Freetown . Mr. Conteh said the first of the three new cases was reported on June 17 after a casual labourer, Mohamed Kamara, tested positive to the Ebola virus and six other people were taken to the holding center. Mr. Conteh admitted that the road to achieving zero cases “would be bumpy” until the Ebola virus was finally defeated. He condemned the report that burial teams were demanding up to 100 dollars from bereaved families to bury their dead. “This must stop,” he said. He promised to investigate the allegation. IT was a harvest for the Kogi State Police Command as it paraded 45 suspected armed bandits that have been terrorising the state. Among those arrested and paraded was the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the April 12 House of Assembly election for Okehi state constituency, Idris Ozi Shuaibu. He lost the election to the Peoples Democratic Party candidate but he filed a petition and is presently pursuing it at the Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Lokoja, Kogi State. Though he denied taking part in any criminal activity in the state, but the police disclosed that four of the arrested armed bandits named him as their master. Those paraded were mostly suspected armed bandits, kidnappers, social miscreants and hoodlums who have been operating along Auchi-Okene-Lokoja, Ajaokuta-Lokoja, Kabba-Obajana highways Their ages ranged between 20 and 65 with a cripple, Jimoh ldris, who was described as the armourer of the suspected criminals. The Force Public Relations Officer, Abuja, CP Emmanuel Ojukwu, told newsmen in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, that the situation in the state was fuelled and compounded by the intra and inter clan conflicts which resulted in violence and use of firearms among youths in the past years. Contrary to reports that President Muhammadu Buhari had ordered the immediate disposal of nine of the 11 VIP transport aircraft in the presidential fleet, the presidency on Friday denied knowledge of any such directive. THISDAY newspaper had quoted unnamed sources as saying the president had directed the selling of serviceable and unserviceable aircrafts to cut maintenance costs in line with the government’s policy to drastically reduce its annual expenditure. Eight of the planes in the fleet, including Boeing 737, two Gulfstream 550 jets, Gulfstream V jet, two Falcon 7X planes, the Hawker Siddeley aircraft and Augusta Westland chopper, the report said, are reserved strictly for the president’s movement. Other aircrafts, including two Falcon 900 planes, the Dornier, the Cessna Citation, the Beechracft King Air, and two AugustaWestland choppers, are reserved for the airlifting of the Vice-President, Senate President, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as visiting African heads of states. But speaking to PREMIUM TIMES Friday, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, denied knowledge of such directive. “The story of the order for the sale of aircrafts in the Presidential Fleet, about which so much interest is being expressed, is not known to us,” Mr. Shehu said. Mr. Shehu said if anything like that was being contemplated, the Presidency would issue a statement through its official channels to announce it. I was deployed to cross river state so my camp was in obubra. Of course like some of the camps, obubra is in a remote area in the central part of cross river state(about 4hrs to calabar) The camp wasn't funny on the day I arrived (4th night). We were fooled into paying 1k at the gate (money for camp video cd plate), then sent to hostel c room 5. On the d day, we were all told to move out again woth our belongings for proper searching and documentation. Some items like clippers, extensions etc were seized. On entering inside, we were grouped and asked to carry our luggage on our heads (pitied those with big bags sha) we jogged with the bags on our heads, sat, stood, sang ran and even frogged jumped with the bags on our heads. Some werw shading tears (mines wasn't that big tho) After that came the milipede-like long queues for registration. This aspect wasn't funny ad the queues were scattered and reformed on several occasions. I finally registered on wed, gotma khaki and meal ticket ![]() Missed da first parade cos of registration. Finally on thur we all changed into our traditional camp white fowl attires and waist pouches! seriously the white fowl attires especially those given by nysc humbled many especially d fat ones. We were at the mercies of those military men and man o'war. Our camp commandant nicknamed himself little angel. Of course he looked miniaturised bt angelic? I couldn't tell. My first week was hell-like not because the daily drills and parades but cos I have never subjected myself to such . We would sleep by 10:30 (not many sleep by this time o) to wake officially by 4:30 for morning meditation. Mammy was always buzzling with activities. As expected, things were very expensive there. The following week I got used to camp activities. Games and social activities came and I enjoyed every bit of the activities. Though the surrounding hostel environment wasn't homely, it was handled after the first sanitation. Funny enough, there was no single mosquito in the hostels. I got accustomed to the traditional biggles(right spelling?) The first fire alarm was around thur of the second week and we were all assembled on the parade ground. All wwere asked to sit on d floor for like 3hrs simply because a female corper misbehaved. Before then I had already endeared d first punishment of sitting on a muddy floor...chai. The second fire alarm was at night 1am on the third week to celebrate our CC birthday. We were also told to sit on the floor. Then came carnival, endurance trek and camp fire night. I personally enjoyed the handling of our state director alhaji habibu kurawa amd other camp officials. I La ter enjoyed the soldiers nman o war men too. The soldiers even assisted in buying water for us when we were under d sun for swearing in ceremony. I enjoyed the experience mehnnnnn!! Add urs |
chayomastic:I stayed in hostel and its diff. In hostel ur movement is nt restricted and no soldiers in hostels like camp U can't leave camp at will like the way u do in hostel |
chayomastic:I think this stealing in camp is overhyped for thw following reasons 1) where will the person dt steal my belonging use it....is it not in the same camp/platoon? Or will he steal my bucket/slipas and take it home 2) we all know scared ordinary Nigerians are about soldiers or does it means soldiers in camp encourage stealing? 3) I only hear how people teal in camp.....am yet to hear how many hv been cought by fellow corpers or soldiers. Abi na spirit dey thief those things? Hmmmmmm. Abi na only these thieves waka come? Lets see how ut goes in camp sha |
