Is it paining you because I don't want to discuss your fatherly failure, inferiority complex and low self-esteem issues?

I still don't know how a topic about the VP's Birthday turned into your father's headache.

If your father is a nobody and a failure, start your own topic to cry and tell the world about your failed and pathetic father instead of worrying and obsessing over other people's father.

Disrespectful people with souls hardened with hatred, bitterness, tribalism and bigotry.

FrLukas:

Religion, all religions are not perfect because they are man made.

What religion does, especially the two dominant religion, Modern day Christianity and Islam is to try to create God in the image of Man.

No. God is not striving for perfection.

If He were, then He wouldn't be God.

The concept of GOD is an Absolute and Immutable, non changing Being that has always been and always will be perfect.

To conceive of a God that is not perfect but striving for perfection is to conceive of a relative being and call that God.

God is ABSOLUTE. In the Absolute sense of the word.

God is not us. We are not God. We are gods. We are sons of God. We aren't Absolute, otherwise we won't be enclosed in flesh.

The ABSOLUTE ENTITY will never ever have any need to enclose itself in flesh and become a relative being.

Look, search for books that teach Gnani Yoga and Bhakti Yoga and read more.

Search for books that Esoteric Christianity or Mystic Christianity.

If you practice Raja Yoga, eventually, you will find that the Truth of the Universe is hidden within you.

No one can convince you of the truth you are not ready to receive.

But don't stop searching for the truth. And when you find it, you will be free. The kind of freedom the world cannot offer you.

Then you will understand that you are a son of God. You are a tiny spark of the Divine Flame. You are indeed created in the image and likeness of God.

I could recommend some book titles which you can download for free online and read if you want.

Most Igbos, not all are narcissists going by their utterances but this grandpa is a hardcore narcissist.
It is an addiction that can't be cured but we will manage him on nairaland by always telling him about his sickness.
Thank God he is a grandpa.

You seem quite sincere in your questions compared to the other chap.

I don't which religion you practice or what your belief system looks like.

But if you sincerely are looking for the truth, then I'd be glad to point you in the right direction.

When you ask, why can't we be perfect already, it is like asking, why weren't we born as full grown adults?

Why do we have to risk the pains of childhood and growing up?

Like I said earlier, we are perfect, but we have to work towards that perfection that is latent within us.

Look, stand in front of your mirror and realise that what you are looking at is not the real YOU but your birthday suit.

You, the real you is a Spirit being, a perfect being, a tiny spark from the Divine Flame.

You can only get to know your true self by working, and going through life experiences.

That spirit that is you lives in your body which you see in the mirror.

That body, your body, is the Temple of the Spirit which is you.

I fear I have said too much.

But if it helps you think deeper and ask better questions, maybe a purpose would have been served.

What's the topic got to do with anybody's father?

If you have low self-esteem, pettiness, disrespectful, fatherly and personal insecurity issues, see a therapist or discuss these issues with your father.

The topic is about the VP's Birthday, not about your father so stay on topic or kindly exit the thread.

Some people have their spiritual home in their roots.

I know of people who do kpeke in the west, live a spartan life, yet invest in friends, family and properties back home.

What is this one talking about?

Is the NE the reason why you are crying and wy your leaders can not deliver anything and must beg from morning till night?

Again, we've seen what you are capable of doing during regional administration when all the regions managed their own affairs when they managed and develop with their own resources, you came last across the board.

Some are generous and can afford to assist.

Some aren't generous even as they are buoyant.

Yet we have those who are genuinely unable.

There is even the remote case of those who are struggling yet go overboard to help.

At the moment, you can do anything you want, there is now law that prevents you from doing anything in Nigeria so the fact that your SE leaders are useless and incompetent doesn't need Biafra before they do anything.

Other states and region in Nigeria are not crying, waiting and begging the FG to do anything for them, only the SE region their leaders are incompetent, where they generate the lowest IGR, where the leaders can not take initiative or make any proative move.

Under regional administration when you ran your own government when you kept and did whatever with your money and develop at your own pace, the other 2 major regions did better than you, you can not point to 1 single thing your leaders did back then.

We've seen. what you can do when given the autonomy and authority to do things and develop on your own with your own money and resorces so stop fooling yourself

It's all about leadership and vision, something leadership in that part of the country lack.

Get off this silly victim and self crippling mentality that you use to excuse your lazy and visionless leaders and absolve them of their responsibilities
