SportsWorld Cup: Uruguay Vs France [0 - 0] On 11th June 2010 by chamotex(op): 7:36pm On Jun 08, 2010
URUGUAY Vs FRANCE

France begins what many would describe as a “tainted” World Cup campaign this Friday when they take on fellow group A constituents Uruguay at Green Point Stadium in Cape Town.

With Les Bleus turning in several dismal performances in their friendly campaign and Uruguay on the rise, this is one of the most intriguing matches of the groups stage. Can Diego Forlán and Las Charrúas utilize their brash attacking style or will Ribery, Henry, and Anelka rally to exploit the vulnerable Uruguayan defense?

What are your predictions?

SportsRe: World Cup: South Africa Vs Mexico [1 - 1] On Friday 11th June 2010 by chamotex(m): 7:26pm On Jun 08, 2010
On Friday, 11th of June, the World Cup will finally have its start. The opening game will be played at Johannesburg and it will oppose Mexico to South Africa, the host of this competition.

This will be the first WC tournament held on African ground and that’s why the expectations are higher than usual regarding the African teams’ performances. South Africa is one of the teams who are expected “to do well” here, not especially because of their value or the level of their football, but mainly because they will probably benefit of the host nation statute. They weren’t impressive in their latest friendly games, playing against minnow teams, only Columbia ad Denmark being of a higher facture. They were receiving easy penalties against Guatemala and Colombia and I expect this trend to continue at the WC. It never happened for a host nation to fail to qualify from the group stage and, despite being the weakest team from their group, some games will probably be played behind the curtains. The referee in the first game will be a guy from Uzbekistan, so I wouldn’t be surprised by anything.

Mexico was one of the first teams who started the preparations, playing no less than 8 friendly games in the last month. Coach Aguirre finally decided his squad for the WC and, despite some internal conflicts between him and Giovanni dos Santos (regarding the dropping from the squad of his brother Jonathan), they performed well against Italy. They are strong at the back, having many classy defenders who are playing in Europe and they could develop some fast attack using the pace of Vela and dos Santos. Anyway, their central midfield area doesn’t posses too much depth , this being their “Achilles heel”. Also, the central striker will be chosen between an out of form Franco or the grandpa Blanco

Dear Mr. Chamotex,
Please answer my question. I wasnt inquiring about your cooking skills.
As far as I am concerned, anyone wey no fit cook suppose die of hunger. And if you can cook? Good for you. (before nko?)

What I was asking is if you dey scared of karma because for as long as I have been alive, femininity (in the African communities anyway) has been synonymous with having exceptional culinary skills. Are you scared that life might be playing you the karmic card and you're going to have to (all of a sudden) not ony BE good at cooking but actually cook on a daily basis? God forbd that the society expects you to cook as much as you eat abi? yeye man.

"As for me and my house" (lol), I shall NOT tolerate a man wey no fit cook and neither will I tolerate a man wey think say it is my duty to.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

God bless you.

As far as I'm concerned, its the traditional role or can I say primary role of the woman to do most of the cooking.
It s my wife's duty to do most of the cooking in my house. Now that doesnt mean I wont be doing any at all.
I do most of the cooking in my house now even though it's just me and my sister.
Sometimes before she gets back home, I've made a nice meal. This is because I enjoy doing it.
And yes you can say I'm romantic like that. grin grin grin grin

I'm scared that in the future, it can now be the primary role of the husband to the most or all of the cooking just because y'all carrying femininity for head. cheesy grin

Yours truly. smiley

pray tell then, what exactly are you scared of if your skills are so good and she has proven herself a good cook?
surely it cant be the thought that you could never get it up without watching her sexily de-scale a fish that's making you turn so pale
You know i am weird right?

I love watching women cook
I love women that can and WILL cook. There's no point knowing how to cook and not putting it into practice.

I'm just scared of the fact that the pendulum could swing the other way for good
