proudly9ja: Are you sure you watched the Bolton game? As in the whole game not just highlight showing Ryo providing assist?
IMO Ryo was poor today playing from the right and many Bolton fans agree. In fact up til the goal, Ryo was marked out by Traore. He was like Theo Walcott on a very bad day. No creativity and kept on passing the ball to the QPR players. Respite came his way when Hughes took out Traore for Taiwo. We all know Taiwo is a slow player. His first one on one with Ryo almost led to a goal.
I am impressed with his set piece delivery though. And I think he's better cutting in from the left. I don't know why Coyle played him on the right today. Ryo is not yet at Arsenal level. Maybe by 2013/14 season but not next season (at least that part I agree with you) No mind Dudu . . . na today?!!! Thank goodness we all watched the game He did get Man of the Match though but nothing special really from today's performance. |

duduspace: Chamo the fickle. Fergie's modus operandi didn't matter when you were winning the league back to back but has suddenly become an issue because Bilbao flogged you at OT and Pique who left years ago has suddenly become an authority in current affairs at Carrington? Hehe Mr Dudu, good to see you on here. Phelan's bashing has nothing to do with the game. We bash him even when we win cos he adds zilch to our team. You claim we WERE winning back to back league titles like that was in the past. Last time I checked we ARE still the current champions and still in a good position to win it again this season. P.S - We are still waiting for United's crumble o alagba |

mbulela: SAF just dey arrange job for the boys at the detriment of the team. Phelan,Blackmore and McClair. More than anything else, SAF needs a strong number 2,who is tactically aware (more than SAF) and whose views are respected by SAF. Carlos Queiroz was that man. Phelan doesn't know anything about tactics apart from setting up cones on the training pitch. Pique did an interview recently where they asked him to compare his old manager (Fergie) and Pep and he said the difference is Fergie doesn't even come to the training ground sometimes and spends more time in his office - which can only mean his no2 (Phelan) was the one Fergie left to take control of training. Isn't this the road to disaster? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Chelsea Vs Stoke City (1 - 0) On Saturday March 10 2012 by chamotex(op): 5:18pm On Mar 09, 2012 |
Chelsea will be smarting after being outplayed by West Bromwich last weekend. While the club bounced back with a win against Birmingham in an FA Cup replay in the midweek, Chelsea will need to put away Stoke City at the Bridge this weekend to stay in contention for a place in the top four. Stoke haven’t beaten Chelsea once in the last ten meetings between these sides, while Chelsea has claimed seven wins and three matches ended in draws. The best result Stoke achieved at the Bridge during this period was a single away draw – and this was achieved in 1984! Stoke City’s last visit to Stamford Bridge produced a 2-0 win for the home team. It looks like heads are going to roll at Stamford Bridge fairly soon with Chelsea on two wins, two defeats and a draw from their last five matches. The club is totally out of the reckoning for the title, is out of Europe and is now battling for a place in Europe next season and the FA Cup. Chelsea’s attack has produced 7 goals in the last five matches – not a great result by the club’s own high standards. The defence has been ordinary, letting in 5 goals during the same period – albeit maintaining 2 clean sheets. Stoke’s hit a purple patch, meanwhile, with two wins from two matches. Overall the club has three wins and two defeats to show for its last five games, with both defeats coming against Valencia in the Europa League. Stoke have scored 5 goals in their last five matches. While Stoke’s attack has been average, defence has put in some good performances, conceding just 2 goals in five games, to match Everton as the best defensive unit in the Premiership over recent weeks. Match |

coogar: with giggs/jones as central midfielders, nothing could have worked. alex ferguson is a plank. mike phelan should be sacked. I wonder if he has any input in the team structure . . . he might as well be Fergie's houseboy. No tactical nous whatsoever. |

debosky: The 4-4-2 didn't work tonight - the back 4 were exposed time and time again! We couldav played 4-3-3, 4-5-1, 4-2-3-1 and Bilbao would have walloped us all the same. It would not have made any difference. It was disgraceful |

coogar: if we don't play carrick in the midfield, we could be beaten tonight. bielsa is the chilean manager @ the world cup. he's very good.
his team is well drilled. they can hustle for the ball, they can keep possession and they get men in the opposition half very quickly. Of course we'll get beat. I told you after the last round when they beat Lokomotiv with 10 men. |
