European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by chamotex(op): 11:31pm On Mar 01, 2011
@Cougar, all I'm saying is Evra shouldav committed himself a bit more and got closer quicker. He didn't show enough commitment there for me. Playing 10 away games in a row shouldn't affect that.
If he tried and the ball went in - fine. Just show a lil bit of desire.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by chamotex(op): 11:07pm On Mar 01, 2011
@Debosky, Evra is the defender and was the closest to Luiz. Don't think Luiz wouldav had a clean strike if it was Vidic in that position.

@Cougar, playing on Saturday doesn't mean we Evra shouldn't have done better with the first goal.
I'm not faulting the overall performance especially in the first half.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by chamotex(op): 10:54pm On Mar 01, 2011
Just watching that sexond goal again.
Why was O'Shea dancing around like a clown. Didn't give Smalling any support at all.
Plus Evra should have done better for the first goal still.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by chamotex(op): 10:47pm On Mar 01, 2011
Atkinson was the same ref that gave that dodgy decision last season so I'm not too surprised.
I can't fault Smalling though, the kid did really well.

If Rio doesn't make it. We'll have to slot Brown in. No shaking
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by chamotex(op): 10:43pm On Mar 01, 2011
Second half performance cost us. Fair play to Chelsea tho they raised their game.
We started slowly in the second half and I think we defended well most times apart from Chelseas first goal.
Title race hots up

^^^Seriously.
It was a massive mistake not to captain Rooney.
Oh well, another assist from Nani. I can't complain too much.

debosky:
^^
It appears as if Chez called for the ball, hence Kos pulled out of the clearance to allow him to catch the ball.

Without being on the pitch, there is no way I can be certain that call was made.

There is no certainty that the GK would've caught the ball if the call was made/not made. It was an error that perhaps only Kos and Chez will ever be able to explain. . . .and even they might  not be able to explain it.

Like I said, maybe the pressure got to them - nowhere did I mention luck.
Why were you not on the pitch then? grin grin
You are clearly far better than these lot. tongue tongue
