The billionaire who is the grand patron of the association - also donated some cash to help support the movement.

Youths of the core oil community of Exxon Mobil, namely Eket, Esit-Eket, Onna and Ibeno Local Government Areas this morning embarked on a warning protest for the oil giant to immediately relocate its headquarters to Akwa Ibom State.

The youths defied the heavy downpour and barricaded the gates of the company at its Housing Estate in Eket and the Airstrip with coffins and other traditional injunctions.

Speaking on behalf of Afigh Iwaad Ekid, organizers of the warning protest, Mr Joe Etukudo said "time has come for Mobil to relocate to Akwa Ibom State in keeping with the presidential directives". "Today is just a warning protest done in a very civilized manner, we will eventually shut down Mobil's operation both onshore and offshore if after fourteen days the company does not take us seriously", Etukudo said.

He lambasted the company for being selective even in award of contracts and employment against members of the core oil community and Akwa Ibom indigenes in general.

Speaking to the press, shortly after the new converts fully complied with the biblical injunctions, the Apostle said, though the financial involvement in the up keep and maintenance of the newly converts are quite enormous, he can not in anyway compare the cost to the salvation of the lost souls to God in heaven.

A motorcyclist popularly known as Okada man was stabbed to death by suspected robbers in Amukpe, Sapele area of Delta state. According to eyewitness account, the body of the diseased who is an Hausa man was found in the early hours of the morning lying lifeless. It was gathered that there were marks of perceived struggling between the deceased and the robbers.

He was reportedly killed and his motorbike stolen from him.

A little girl has been left wounded after being maltreated by her guardian in Lagos. According to the Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team DSTV the girl was punished with hot iron and razor blade for licking tea. The authorities have reportedly been notified of this.

Chelsea's stars enjoyed a brief flight on Friday as the club took the unusual step of travelling to their away game at Leicester via aeroplane. Eden Hazard, Michy Batshuayi, Victor Moses and Co posed for photos on board the chartered jet as the squad prepared for take-off.

Chelsea have chosen to fly to Leicester ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash - despite just 102 miles separating Stamford Bridge and the King Power Stadium.

Chelsea are set to welcome Hazard back into the fold with the Belgian in contention to feature for his club for the first time this season.

Hazard played twice for Belgium over the international break and has been training with the Chelsea first team after recovering from a fractured ankle suffered in June.

Some suspects in the Anti-Kidnapping Section (D7) of State CIID Umuahia Cell escaped from the detention facility on Saturday 02/09/2017. The suspects made away with two AK 47 Rifles kept outside the Armoury for quick response to emergencies, to facilitate their escape. The inmates conceived the escape and nurtured it into fruition due to the negligence/absence from duty of the policemen scheduled for duty on that fateful day.

However, three of the escapees, viz Kingsley Anyim, Chijioke Chukwu and Emeka Ukaegbu have been rearrested and one of the rifles recovered while all the officers involved in the act of negligence/absence from duty have all been taken through the Force approved disciplinary action process and dismissed from the Force, and will be prosecuted. Efforts to rearrest the remaining escapees is being intensified.

Meanwhile, it need be mentioned that Emeka Ukaegbu who was just picked up has confessed to where he kept the remaining AK47 rifle.

On 05/09/2017, a distress call was received that one young man later identified as Nnadozie Ezinwa Onyema aged 36yrs was shot dead by suspected cultists along ‘Early Learning’ road by Umueze Aba. Consequent on the call, SP Gabriel Alobo, the Divisional Crime Officer Abayi Division led a team of patrol men and detectives attached to the Division to the scene of incident where the victim was found in a pool of his own blood.

One locally made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered around the scene. Combing of the street and surrounding environment, resulted in the arrest of one Godswill Joel Okeke and Godwin Dada both males aged 26yrs and 31yrs respectively.

Photograph of the deceased was taken and corpse taken to the morgue for preservation. Investigation is in progress.

According to the young man , he and his co-workers were locked up in Elele area in Rivers state for three days after asking the priest to pay them their wages for a service rendered (roofing work).. The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) received with great shock the death of Miss Etuk Brian Michelle, a 100 level student of Civil Engineering at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.

She had an accident on her way going back to Abuja where she based when ASUU declared indefinite strike.

She lost her life few days of medical complications.

On behalf of NANS, We wish to extend our sincere condolence to her family, May God give her parent the zeal to bear the lost.

We hope the Federal Government and the ASUU will settle their dispute and allow our students to resume back to school with immediate effect.

Here's a graphic photo of Rev.Fr. Cyriacus Onunkwo., a Catholic priest in Imo state, who was murdered by unknown gunmen. Onunkwo was said to have been abducted from his vehicle in Orlu, a town in the state on Friday morning.Following a manhunt, a body was discovered in the bush in Omuma village in Orlu east local government area, still in Imo, on Saturday.

The commissioner said the corpse had been identified as that of the priest.

He also said investigations were ongoing to unveil Onunkwo’s killers.

There are speculations that he may have been strangled as his body had no gunshot nor stab wounds, according to the police.

They also said his car was discovered intact, with nothing removed from it.

The police said they have not made any arrest in connection with the incident.

Nigeria's First Lady Aisha Buhari has returned from her trip to Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The First lady left Abuja on Monday, August 28, 2017, to take part in this year's hajj pilgrimage in Mecca.

Mrs. Buhari was seen with family, friends and others as she took part in the Sallah celebration with her husband who is already in his hometown in Daura, Katsina state.

The executive governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha was seen watching the Super Eagles match versus Cameroon at his exquisite residence.
